Went to Doris Berry's Original Jackson Farmer's Market HAS MOVED See MGS BELOW. In Pearl on Hwy 80 by the high school. You can not know how I lose my mind with fresh produce. I just can NOT help myself! I bought oranges, strawberries, plums (look how big those plums are!), locally made grape juice, peaches, and locally made scuppernong jelly (my grandfather used to have scuppernong vines everywhere, love those!). Check them out! Great seeing Victor Wilson as always -- at Doris Berry's Original Jackson Farmer's Market HAS MOVED See MGS BELOW..

I have found that they have some of the best produce in the Rankin County Area. I worked in Retail…read moreall my life (Dillards 25+ years in Upper Management) and have retired. I always took care of my customers, doing my best to make them happy with 'customer' friendly policies. I recently bought a "basket of peaches" from Cockrell's Farmers Market and I came home with 5 bad peaches that had to be on the their "basket." I have always trusted the "basket" buying experience as the person that rings your order up does touch every item. I thought that if I ever bought some bad produce from them that they would stand behind their products. However, upon asking if they would replace the 5 bad peaches they said "No." These peaches were so damaged that they soaked the bottom of my Fridge Fruit Drawer and took a while to clean the mess up. I have learned my lesson and now pick a basket and then go thru each individual piece of fruit or vege to check to see if they are bad and if so, replace with an undamaged unit and setting the bad piece of fruit or vege to the side so that others will can determine for themselves if they want to buy it or not. I thought about taking my business to another local farmers market, but since Cockrells is only 2 miles from me, I have decided to stay based on the extra cost of gas and time taken. Overall I would give them a rating of 4 out of 5 for their products and 3 out of 5 for customer service (this ranking is based on all customer service expectations and not based off of 1 or 2 issues).

These people have always been nice to me and their produce is usually good to very good…read more The "reviewer" from Atlanta seems offended that anyone could support Trump and immediately labels all who do as "racist". Thanks to people like those the very term "racist" has lost all meaning, since a "racist" is anyone and everyone who disagrees with their political ideology. BTW, Is Geraldo Rivera now a "racist"? He says repeatedly that there is NOTHING in Donald Trump's life to indicate he's a racist.

I am genuinely disappointed with my recent experience at Kroger…read more In a time when most companies are upgrading with A.I. systems and smart customer-service solutions, it is surprising and frustrating to encounter employees who show poor attitude and a lack of professionalism. I understand that everyone works hard and everyone has personal stress. But stress is never an excuse to take it out on customers. Customers come to shop, spend their money, and they deserve basic respect: courtesy, professionalism, and proper service especially from a major American brand like Kroger. The United States is a modern, civilized country. Don't let a few unprofessional employees damage the company's reputation. If an employee feels unhappy with their job or no longer wants to serve people, then consider leaving the position instead of bringing negativity into every customer interaction. Working in customer service means serving customers, not mistreating them. Kroger needs to upgrade its training system, integrate A.I. monitoring, and take employee attitude evaluations more seriously. Some staff members clearly have a long history of poor service, and it shows. I'm writing this hoping Kroger will improve so that customers and the great employees who actually care don't suffer because of a few individuals who don't respect the job or the people they serve.

This particular Kroger it's definitely not like other Kroger supermarkets that I have been to…read more The inside is dirty and cramped and the establishment has definitely seen better days. Service was friendly at checkouts and I was able to grab a few waters for tonight at the hotel. I am a fan of Kroger, just not this particular location.
