Amazing dentist office, extremely professional! Have been a patient at Esplanade for the past 15 years. Had a severe injury roughly 8 years ago with cracked teeth and root canals. Doctor put on two beautiful crowns! Also, the office is extremely clean and the staff very friendly. Both Dr's also take the time to discuss any concerns with you and put in effort to understand you as a patient! I've been going to Esplanade Dental Care for 10 years. I moved to Florida 3 years ago and I still go to Dr. Albert for all my cleanings & dental work. Yes, I travel 1300 miles for ALL my dental work, because when you find a dentist that is this good, you keep him! Over the years, Dr. Albert has done a root canal, several crowns, a bridge and numerous fillings on me. The thing I like best is that he's virtually pain free. (I used to hate the thought of going to the dentist for fear of pain, but that's not the case anymore.) I love his staff, too!! The hygienists and assistants are all very professional and gentle, yet thorough. His receptionist, Nancy, is so sweet. She's knowledgeable about all things related to insurance and billing, and very accommodating when I need to make an appointment. This is my one of the many times going to Dr. Albert. I am the most and always terrified doing dentist work as I am castrophobic and I don't like someone so close and on top of my face doing the work for more than an hour. My review is not subjectively biased, but the following are facts coming from a medical professional reviewing the performance of his family dentist over the past 12 months. I would not comment on the actual dental work as every dentist would praise himself/herself being the best on the market. My focus is on the dentist-patient relationship. Sadly, no correlation exists between the office building pictures and the esplanade office work spirit. $ comes unfortunately first. Smiles are mistakenly present on the faces but for the wrong drives. Welcoming when you wave your credit card but watch out for extra cost when you miss an appointment, or you lose your CD. What really dissatisfied me was the ruddiness of the dentist appraising the value of his time that he thought would need to be compensated for every gesture he makes. What world are we living in? Huge gap between such self-centered personality and professionals who care about protecting and flourishing their relationship with their patients. Finally, if you decide to go somewhere else you would have to pay for your medical records. That is not a joke! They would print you a copy to show you that they have the right to charge for paper, printing, and the clerk few minutes it would take her to prepare them for you. First time visit today for a cleaning and "diagnostic" and it was great to experience how well thought out this dental practice is managing their COVID protocol. I was very impressed by how genuine and transparent my hygienist Michelle and Dr. Snow were with me throughout my visit as I am very much NOT a fan of dental work based on past negative experience. Disappointed during my past 2 visits. Went about 2 weeks ago for teeth cleaning. They have a policy to do Corona screening at their side door. It says knock for screening. I knocked 2 minutes before my appointment time. No answer. Walked around, came back a few minutes later and knocked again. After a minute or 2 I was greeted by the receptionist who was very rude. She told me I was supposed to call 1st before arriving. No, I wasn't. I confirmed the appointment by text and it said to call if there are are questions. Then I went yesterday for 2 fillings. The dentist used so much novacaine that my whole upper jaw and nose was numb. Then after she filed down the fillings I felt roughness behind one of my teeth. It was very smooth before the fillings. I mentioned it to her and she said that wasn't one of the teeth that she worked on. She blamed it on my bite. Wrong, there was spray from her grinding the filling. It stuck to the back of an adjacent tooth. I've been scraping it with my pocket knife. It's better now but not fixed. read more

I'm disappointed I can't give more stars because my experience with staff was fine initially. However, they sent the incorrect billing code to my insurance company and quoted me the wrong price. Now, six months later I owe almost $200 more out of pocket. A mistake that I now have to pay for. This poor experience ensures that I'll never return and that I'll have to visit a dental office where the staff can correctly do something as easy as simple data entry. 5/2/2015 **Filing a complaint against these frauds. Do not go here. The woman in billing is a witch (I'd like to replace the 'w' with a 'b') and so unprofessional. I have to pay for their mistake. They aren't taking accountability for their wrong doing. DO NOT GO HERE! 3/25/2016 ****Nice try, Sherif A. you should train your front desk to have said the same thing you did. That was an impressive cover up. I paid because I don't want your mistake ruining my credit. In this case, I had no choice but to pay the money. You obviously needed to post this to make yourself feel better, you clown. The front desk called me and admitted the error. i called my insurance and they confirmed the error. Yes, there was an error ON YOUR PART and i had to pay for it to stay out of the red. So save your weak excuses for the next victim that sits in your chair. This update addresses Dr. Albert's reply to my review. Yes it has been a few years since I received care from Dr. Albert -- but I remember it quite vividly and was moved to write the review after experiencing care from another dentist. Clarification - I did not intend to imply that Dr. Albert recommended *ALL* my silver filings be replaced with ceramic -- but he certainly suggested that some of them be replaced. Turns out a 2nd opinion from another (very experienced) dentist has confirmed that my silver fillings are all fine... no need for replacement. 5+ years later they are still going strong. About the second visit... The vibe was definitely a bit tense when I questioned him why I needed "deep cleanings" (or what he calls root planing/scaling). Whatever you want to call it -- it involves anesthetizing each quadrant of the mouth and cleaning under the gum line on multiple separate visits. It sounded unnecessary and a bit extreme to me. Dr Albert was quite insistent that I needed this and that he had an obligation to provide a standard of care etc. He advised me to consider finding another dentist if I wouldn't follow his recommendations. In retrospect - that was the best advice I got from him regarding my teeth... and for that I am grateful - as that recommendation saved me a lot of inconvenience, time in the dentist chair and $$$. That said - I know I would get a 1-star rating if Dr. Albert could review me as a patient : D On the advice of my current dentist I increased the flossing frequency and things are good. No crowns; no filling replacements; no planing/scaling - just regular flossing and cleanings. All the best to Esplanade Dental Care. It doesn't meet my needs -- but it might meet yours. read more

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Alberts and Esplanade dental for almost 5 years now. We both have a mutual lovefest for Dr. Al bc...well, he's awesome! Dr. Alberts is kind, caring, recommends work when NEEDED but by no means pushes any additional service. His team is caring, attentive and professional. My only real challenge is that Dr. Al now has another practice location and isn't at the Esplanade location much these days. Boo!! (I say this very sarcastically!) I've learned to book my appointments in advance and specify that I'd like to see Dr. Alberts though I'm sure the entire dental team is great. First, I was greeted with a questionnaire, hand sanitizer, and a no-touch thermometer after I knocked on the door per their instructions. I knew then I would feel entirely comfortable while I was in their office. Megan couldn't have been nicer and appealed to my vanity by checking and rechecking for stains. My teeth are now sparkling despite the long quarantine consumption red wine and coffee. Last, Dr. Albert was super personable, and seemed very through. I felt awful for all them under all the PPE, but I was also incredibly grateful. This was my second visit to Esplanade, and I am a very happy patient. read more

Not a fan of their business practices. New patients policies were not explained when I reschedule an appt with more than 24 hrs notice. After missing first scheduled appt to which I would have paid a fee, Nancy called to say we are no longer welcomed at the office (that we never went too) because of 2 missed appointments and their policy is 2 business days to cancel or reschedule. How would I have known? But she called prior to that saying that it doesn't matter that we were more than 20 min late, the Dr wanted us to come. We were referred to this office and really wanted to support but feel we were unjustifiably judged. Not only was my teeth cleaning not up to par (my 2 bottom teeth looked like they weren't even cleaned!), but, I had to go back 3 different times to get a permanent crown; the first time the crown didn't fit right; 2nd time same thing; 3rd time was the charm, but, the crown still doesn't feel "right" when I eat certain foods. Staff seems knowledgeable as does the dentist, but I probably will never go back. And, I found out that my co-worker has to go back for the 3rd time for her permanent crown too! Strange coincidence, isn't it? Either the impressions aren't right, or the company who makes the crowns doesn't know what they are doing. read more
