I just had my wedding a few weeks ago and Esquire went above and beyond for us and my groomsmen. The tuxedo's were perfect and pickup and return was so seamless. I cannot express enough how satisfied I was using Esquire. I have been in 4 previous weddings and used Men's Warehouse for all of them, all 4 weddings I had issues with my initial fittings and so did the rest of the parties. For my own wedding, I wanted to find an alternative and came across Esquire even though I live in Charlotte NC but was getting married in Farmingdale. From the moment we walked in, I could already feel that the Esquire staff would take care of me. From picking out my tux colors/style down to every detail of the groomsmen's tux, they helped along the way. I had concerns that all of my groomsmen live elsewhere but they followed some simple instructions to get measurements at a tailer near them and filled out a form provided by Esquire. They all then entered their measurements online. A few of my groomsman entered their measurements incorrectly and Esquire was proactive enough to reach out to the groomsmen to talk it through over the phone because the measurements provided didn't seem correct to Esquire. Not only did my tux fit PERFECT, all of my groomsmen's tux's fit amazing. There was one that needed to lengthen their pants a little and Esquire took care of that the day before the wedding with no issues. Their rental prices were affordable if not cheaper than some of the bigger names and the service was priceless. If I ever get married again (if my wife reads this, im joking), I would certainly be using Esquire! read more

They are absolutely FANTASTIC! My son needed to rent a tux for an annual college school event in his freshman year. Of course he told us when he came home for Thanksgiving break that he needed it before he went back to school. Not only did Esquire Tuxedos fit him with a beautiful tux, we were also able to purchase the complete tux, shirt, shoes, cummerbund, bow tie and cuff links for a VERY reasonable price. This is the ONLY place to get a tux. I live in queens and tried some local tuxes places around here. They all were mediocre at best. Then I took the drive and went to Esquire tuxedo in Merrick. I had come here in 1991 for my prom and decided to try it out again. The customer service was awesome. I forgot the girl's name but she was helpful, funny, and knowledgeable. I can be difficult and she was patient. I told her I was looking for a black and white slim fit suit and she pointed me in the right direction. They threw in an extra shirt because it was summer and I'd be sweating (no extra charge). And they sewed buttons in the pants bc I wanted fancy suspenders. Point of all this is that nothing was a problem for them and they went out of their way to make me happy. My groomsmen came here as well and all looked amazing and were completely satisfied. I just read through a few of the reviews and feel as if our wedding party of ten tux rentals were from an Esquire in an alternate universe. While the male staff consists of predominately inept high-schoolers, the middle age female staffer had a most unpleasant mix of dour and abject uncaring attitude. The photographs of my son's wedding were horribly effected by the ill-fitting garbage they rushed us out of this shop with. Only ONE out of Ten suites fit properly. So you may think "Well, you get the schlock you pay for" but in reality this place is grossly overpriced to the point of feeling fleeced Men's Warehouse up the road was HALF the price for the same cheap goods but with amazing and attentive customer service staff. They easily walked two women who know little about men's formalwear through our options and were incredibly understanding when our junior groomsman (7 years old) was very hesitant about trying on bow ties.
