Alissa was wonderful and I highly recommend asking for her. She took me to three different racks of dresses, picking out ones that tailored to my taste, as well as others she thought would compliment my figure. But most importantly, before each rack, she let me know the price range of the dresses. Countless times I had tried on dresses and fell in love with them, only to find out they were way out of my budget. I ended up choosing the first dress I tried on, one that Alissa personally picked for me and I couldn't be happier. My dress arrived within a week, and I am already happy with how the first fitting turned out. They also have a selection of hand painted dresses that are really beautiful. They start around $1000, but the craftsmanship is artfully done and unique, so no two dresses will look the same!

I have nothing but positive things to say about them, both in terms of service and value. Staff is courteous, flexible and for all that, the price is defintiely on the reasonable side. I haven't tried their alteration yet because I haven't needed it since I moved but based on the experience at Bayside branch, I'm pretty certain that they'd do just as good as the Bayside. I'd definitely continue to patronize their service.

As shown on my receipt asked for spot treatment only, hand wash only, and delicate care of vintage item. Upon pick up was charged $400 and when asked about the price difference they told me that was for the tailoring. They tailored my vintage dress without my permission, likely due to damage to the dress while in their care. Upon inspection, they hemmed the bottom of the dress without ever having me try it on. Then tried on the dress and it was nearly 6 inches shorter than the dress I dropped off. I asked them to restore the dress to original condition. The issue was then escalated to Leah (manager) and Mr. Hallak. What they returned was appalling. Not only did it somehow look worse with weird mismatching fabric that I am not sure where they got it from it had new damage, stains, and looked absolutely horrible. They single handed ruined an irreplaceable, special vintage Pucci piece. No effort was made to actually remedy the HUGE mistake of their end or explanation of why the dress was even altered in the first place. They only agreed to refund $400 dry cleaning amount, nothing for damaging my dress. IF YOU CARE ABOUT SOMETHING DO NOT BRING IT HERE THEY WILL DAMAGE IT. THEN PROCEED TO TELL YOU IT LOOKS THE SAME. STAY AWAY!!! Provided before and after pictures for your reference, absolutely criminal!!!

I recently got married in Aug 2015. Esquire tuxedos was recommended highly by my wife's friends who are from Long Island. We had the pleasure of working with Mike, the owner. He was on top of everything and made the whole process go smoothly. Some of my groomsmen took their time getting their measurements in to him and he was super nice about giving me updates. Initially, I had looked into the larger chains. Esquire's selection was just as good as the chain stores. I ended up selecting a more modern cut/higher end tux and it looked awesome on my wedding day. After choosing Esquire, I priced out my tux at two well know chains and Esquire was cheaper. I was concerned that using a chain would be better for my groomsmen because they would have better access to stores in that chain for fitting, alterations, etc. Esquire gave me a website with a store finder for other stores across the country in its network (a network of smaller stores that do measurements nationally) . The process was simple. I had groomsmen coming from Chicago, Houston, Scranton, and Boston. No one had any difficulty finding a nearby site for measurements. All of my 7 groomsmen had a good experience picking up the tuxedoes and getting alterations (although alterations were not really needed because the measurements worked well). It was great that esquire offered us alterations up to and including the day of the wedding. So if you want professional/pleasant/personalized service, selection on par with the chains, and easy fitting for out of town guests at a better price than the chains.....Esquire Tuxedos is the way to go. There truly isn't enough that can be said about the caliber of work that Esquire Tuxedos presents. I recently got married - March 4, 2017 - and when planning it, was very unsure about where my groomsmen and myself would go to for tuxedos. That being said, Esquire was recommended to me by a friend. When we walked in, we immediately felt at ease in how we would go about renting our tuxedos. Michael and his staff were amazing. My wife and I explained what we were looking to get, and we were all planned out within twenty minutes. Michael very much is cognizant of the changing times and styles, and was open to making any changes to what we currently had in stock. When picking up our tuxedos, Michael and his staff made the necessary alterations on the spot. Beyond from their timeliness, and dedication to their quality of work, Michael and his staff made a number of arrangements to ensure my groomsmen had a stress-free experience. I received more compliments on how good the tuxedos looked than I can count. Michael and his staff even made sure that my father, who was out-of-state, had a tuxedo. All work was done on site. As I said, there truly isn't enough that can be said about Esquire. They are professional, courteous, trustworthy, and above all else, dedicated to their craft. I recently got married in the fall of 2019 and used Esquire for my suit as well as my groomsmen. I could not have been more pleased with the experience. Not only were the suits perfectly tailored, they were also current in style. I have had bad experiences with places such a Men's Warehouse as the suits are very outdated and baggy-legged. They even made it super easy for groomsmen of mine that do not live locally. Not only were the suits perfect, but the customer service was outstanding. We worked with Tyler, who I could not rave enough about. You could tell her truly cared about our wedding and was invested to make sure everything came out perfectly. He made us feel at ease and made sure to have all areas covered. Anytime I called he recognized my voice immediately and was eager to help with any questions I had. The style my husband wanted , they didnt carry the specific material so they had hooked us up with a designer they personally know working in Nordstrom, they set up an appointment the same day , and he went over above & beyond for us , finding exactly what he wanted, personally shopping for us! Esquire also provided us with all our guys' & my Fathers suit - they ALL looked amazing. I've had the pleasure of going through Esquire to rent and get fitted for a suit/tux on two separate occasions and the experience and product was fantastic. The staff is knowledgeable and very personable. I recently moved out of NY state and called Esquire for my measurements for an upcoming wedding and the staff, especially Mike were more than happy to help. In fact since it's been over 2 years since I was fitted at Esquire my measurements were not on file at the store but were filed elsewhere, Mike still took the time to locate my measurements and contact me. Couldn't have been happier with my experience from Esquire Tuxedos in Merrick. Mike and Tyler and the rest of the team did a fantastic job helping me create the perfect look for my wedding party. They were friendly, accommodating, and provided spot on measurements for all of the guys (which included 6 groomsman and 2 parents). They even helped me track down a particular color shoe that had been discontinued so I could have the exact look I was hoping for. One of my groomsman was from out of state and we were able to have everything fit perfectly even with him not having a proper fitting. Hi- I've never…read morewritten a yelp review before and probably never will again but needed to in this case to let people know just how horrible this place is. We rented a suit here for the grooms party for my friends wedding, 10 men, $300 per suit. My first issue with them was when i called to give my measurements, my phone call was answered by a very rude man who told me I could not possibly be that shape and size and they needed to come in (I'm pretty normal 6'1 190 lbs). I live in Manhattan so it is not very easy to get to. After some back and forth and a very complex plan involving an longtrain and expensive uber ride, I went into the store to get measured. This was the only somewhat pleasant part of the experience. He threw a suit on and measured me, no big deal in and out in ten minutes. When i checked the measurements vs. what I had tried to provide over the phone the only difference was the inseam on the suit jacket which was a one inch off (mine over the phone was longer). The wedding day came and it was time for me to get the suit. I had a friend pick it up since I live in Manhattan and it is not easy to get to. He gave my friend trouble saying they don't really give the suits to wedding party members etc. After some back and forth he finally let my friend take the suit. At the rehearsal dinner the friends who had picked up the suits warned me how poorly they fit and that they had to go back to have them adjusted. The wedding morning I put on my custom suit to find that the sleeves were about five inches shorter than they should have been. The suit clearly hadn't been altered from it's last "custom fitting." The pants, aren't custom at all they were a no belt one size fits most pants. I spent the entire day with my hands in my pockets to avoid the embarrassingly short jacket sleeves showing. When the suit was returned I complained about the size of the suit. They offered to return my $50 deposit even though I was "late, and the wedding was weeks ago." I never signed a contract or anything saying when to return the suit and the suit was returned 8 days after the wedding. After dealing with this company I decided to see how much these "custom suits" were online. The Ike Behar Evening Suit we had rented were for sale on many websites (for purchase not rent) at $150-$300. Moral of the story, avoid this place at all costs. You can buy much nicer suits for $200 or $250 and spend another $50 to have them completely tailored to fit your body (and they will actually fit your body) and it's something you can keep for more than 8 days. For any competition of Viktor Talbots, if you are going to be in the business of custom suits please at least provide your customers with well fitting suits and/or good customer service and experience because this was overall horrible. I would imagine any good recommendations on this page are from family and or friends of the owner or employees.

Don't be fooled by the old sign outside the building - this is truly a hidden gem. We were referred to this location by the owner's Nephew - who owns a Tuxedo Rental in nearby Merrick. Thank you Mr. Feldman for making this entire process so easy! Highly recommend and endorse! After you get fitted for your Tux - head 2-3 stores down - to that incredible Gelato place. Enjoy! A+

My fiancé and I came in as we are in search of tuxedos for the gentlemen of our future nuptials in…read more2017. We were able to find metered parking directly in front of the store. Upon walking in there is a door chime that announces when someone walks in. We looked around and waited a few before Steve emerged from the back room. He greeted us and asked us what we were looking for and just like every other tuxedo shop commented on how early we are looking. (I'm sorry but my fiancé is very meticulous about what he wears and isn't a just shop up kind of guy) When we told him what we were looking for he pointed us to a particular tux that is new for the season. But also commented that something new may come out next year to just keep that in mind. The appearance of the store is a bit dated but he does have a decent selection to try from. The package prices are very reasonable as well. In all his customer service was superb and he is very knowledgeable about the market that he is in.
