I went here, because the girl I usually go to somewhere else was out of town for 6 weeks and it was the worst manicure of my life. It took them an hour just to get my dip off (usually takes 10 minutes????), then the reapplication of the dip was laughable. My tech burned/nicked me multiple times with the electric filer and burned my skin by getting gel remover all over me. She also completely ruined my natural nails by the amount of sanding she did to remove my initial dip. By the time she was done, my nails that are usually strong and healthy were paper thin. The appointment took nearly 2 hours and I left with lumpy, uneven nails and cuticles that weren't even touched. My dip also chipped in less than 24 hours. Steer clear. read more

If you're looking for more of a "natural or organic" nail salon this isn't that place. Trying out a new nail salon is always a little, shall we say, worrisome to me, but as soon as I walked in, I was welcomed warmly. Before I start, the name of the salon does not properly describe the exterior of the shop -- it looks like an old-fashioned cottage in the middle of corporate buildings. Super cute! I fully expected to see little bunny rabbits hopping around. Anyways! The interior: definitely a lounge vibe and some of the nicest furniture for a nail salon I've seen in a while. I got the basic mani-pedi with the Mask Pedicure option. Both the ladies gave the best massages--and none of that slapping nonsense. Felt like heaven. Now, my manicurist told me her philosophy was to not over trim your cuticles, as it is a protective barrier. I have definitely read about that but of course I'm a bit obsessive about my cuticles. But, when she showed me how healthy her nails are (mine are always dry looking), it was pretty darn convincing. I really appreciate when nail technicians share their experience and care, so I'm going to give that a try. It's always a risk when they share knowledge with customers but I know they know what's up (e.g. years and years of experience and training) so I'm taking the advice! Also, I got a bonus shoulder massage as they weren't too busy at the time - yahoo! I didn't post a picture as this was yesterday and I forgot while heading over to Cherry Creek Mall, so my non-gel mani is no longer perfect. I could not say enough about this salon. The owner is so charismatic and kind, always offering massages and humor. The ladies do a wonderful job, and this place is immeasurably clean. I have been to a few other nail salons in denver and Aurora and the sanitation( even pre covid) was terrible! There are no clippings anywhere, good lighting, and clean chairs! They even have vegan/ clean polish options, and have started implementing low waste options here too. I've never left a yelp review before but unfortunately my experience calls for one. Everyone was very nice but I asked for a gel pedicure and basic manicure no polish and I think I could've done a better job at home. She didn't get all of my previous gel polish off so it is peaking through the new polish On my toes. Also a very short massage. My fingernails have dirt under them and she barely cut my cuticles. I think the pictures speak for themselves. I should've spoken up but that would've required a lot of work to fix everything and I had to go. Yesterday the nail tech was cleaning the side of my large toe and jammed her tool into my toe. It bleed and she asked if my toe was sensitive. I told her no not when I came in here... however it is now. They just laughed and went on. My toe is so sore today I am considering going to the Dr. The shop was not crowded and they should have been supervising new employees. I do not recommend this nail shop. read more

I love this place!! The place is cozy yet spacious, clean, and everyone was friendly and efficient. Lots of color options from OPI and Essie, and Creative (I think). 4 standard pedi stations, 6 (I think) mano stations, plus two more pedi stations with massage chairs further in. There is also a coffee/tea/water station by the drying space. The tech who did my pedi was thorough and precise, with smudge-free and clean color application. $40 before tax/tip for the combo pedi with hot stone and smoothing treatment. Also, one of the MOST AMAZING post-service massages I've ever had! He was the only gentleman working there and did the best deep-tissue neck/shoulder massage. Oh man. I am sitting at the nail salon as we speak. Maya (sp.) just finished my nails and I am blown away. She was extremely rushed and aggressive. I had to pull my hands away numerous times in pain due to her pushing my nail beds down with such force. She then proceeded to paint my nails, while getting red gel all over my nail beds. Then, she wiped the color left on my skin away with her nails. Even the lotion massage was aggressive and rushed. As time went on, I became more and more agitated. I am a paying customer, who is treating herself and I was not enjoying my manicure at all. I convinced myself to speak up and say something and the technician, Maya, told me she didn't paint my nails well because they were too short and I was too sensitive. I am livid! I asked for a manager and she said that the manager was busy painting someone else's nails. I left in tears. She blamed me for my horrible experience and her poorly, rushed job and then no one spoke up when they saw I was unhappy. I was also not offered any type of refund or discount. Plenty of other salons in the area, go there instead. read more

I was a regular here for about 2 months and finally thought I found my go-to nail place! Unfortunately the last 2 visits were enough for me to not go back. I've had an appointment for each visit so neither of these were walk-in's. The first one was a few weeks ago, I had an appointment on a Thursday afternoon for a gel manicure. They were obviously very busy when I arrived, and I had to wait a few minutes before I was seated (no big deal.) Once my nail tech came over, she flew threw my gel mani. I'm talking 15 minutes (for a full gel mani with two-toned nails!) It was super sloppy and the polish was built up around the edges, she barely filed them and kept looking at her watch throughout the entire service. I decided not to complain, and figured it was just an off-day. The gel started peeling off after a few days due to the sloppy edge work. I was upset but I figured I'd still give them another shot. Today (Sunday) I had an appointment for a gel mani. When I walked in there were only a few customers. I waited a few minutes to be seated (again, no big deal.) As I was waiting for a nail technician to come over, people kept walking in for walk-in appointments. All of the employees were with a customer except for me, but they kept telling the walk-in's that they had time to help them! After about 30 minutes of waiting, they sat down one of the walk in's and started working on her pedicure. I got up, told them that I'd been waiting for 30 minutes with an appointment and it seemed as though they don't have time to do my nails. I asked the guy if I should come back, his response was just "okay, sorry", and he didn't really seem to care. Despite these 2 visits, I was really happy with the service. I hope you have a better experience, but just be aware that they're more concerned with getting in as many people as possible instead of giving their customers a quality experience. read more

It's smack dab in the middle of Cherry Creek, really close to Piatta if that gives you a frame of reference. Street parking is available usually and there's a garage nearby if you can't find a meter. So those of you who cringe at the thought of going to Cherry Creek for anything can rest assured, it's not that bad. Both my friend and I got pedicures. You can get a standard service or upgrade with a variety of fancy options. Whatever I chose made my feet tingle like peppermint. The worst nail job I have ever received. Not only was it bad, but they also reuse material. I had them use the powder nail system and they messed up my nail beds. I went back and the male owner was apologetic and admitted to the failed job on my hands. Unfortunately, an older woman continued with my pedicure and she was so unprofessional! I will give it to the male owner admitting to the failed job, but he cannot do all of the work. The staff (especially the older woman) extremely bad at what they do and should not be doing the work. I have contacted OSHA for the uncleanliness of the establishment. I understand they are leaving Cherry Creek in October, which is great news! It is tricky to find the name on salon as they use "Cherry Creek Nails LLC" on the receipt which in my research found a number salons doing business under the LLC. In my research I found a number of folks who meant to put reviews in for "Essence Nail Lounge" in other salons. After my second time at the salon, I will go to no other in Denver but Essence Nail Lounge! The owner takes time to make it a wonderful, relaxing experience with water/tea/coffee, but better yet, a massage while getting your nails done (or while drying). Many other salons skimp on the little things like lotion, hand massage, and nice soap/scrub to wash your hands with. The salon is cute and clean inside with comfortable chairs. Prices are incredibly reasonable (posted online for much appreciated transparency), especially considering that they are located in the heart of Cherry Creek and do a meticulous job with good quality materials. Parking is fairly available on streets and also in garage just to the right of the little house. After 10 more mins no one had even come over to help my seated friend. We were about to wait a few more mins but I looked down in the pedicure bowl and was disgusted. There was a ring of dirt in the bowl and this was after I watched the gal clean it earlier. When we got up to leave, the owner came over and said they can start. When I pointed at the dirt she said that the soap would take care of it. No thank you! I told her, i could take a picture of this and put it on yelp! It honestly caught me off guard and embarrassed me. It made me feel like I did something wrong even though I had an appointment. I was told to wash my hands and pick out a color (I had to search around for colors, because no one showed me). my nail tech was really rough on my cuticles and my water was scorching hot (she did not check the temperature before having me put my feet in). I asked her to adjust it and she said sorry. At the end she had me dry my feet but didn't turn the dryer on for me, nor did she tell me how long to dry my feet. I said "thank you" as I walked out and no one answered me. I tipped over 20% even though my experience sucked. The vibe is just off here. I know of much friendlier places. This is everything I could want in a nail salon, very easy to book, great location, friendly staff, and very clean feel. They have a lot of staff and seating whether you're in for a full spa pedicure in the back with massage chairs or a basic polish change in the front. The staff are very thorough, this is the first time I haven't had a gel manicure start peeling at my cuticles (meaning they did a great jobs sticking it down). Anytime I've arrived without and appointment and with a reluctant boyfriend, they've fit us in (with seats next to each other). They offer different spa levels for a pedicure; I really enjoyed the lavender option. Shellac pedicure has lasted longer than anywhere else and even withstood getting my foot stomped on and my (what should have fallen off) nail in tact.
