I went here for my first time recently and I had FIVE out of ten nails chip/break in less than a week. That's over half of the fresh work for a service that is supposed to last 2-4 weeks! I went in to get them fixed, the nail artist had an attitude and said I broke them, which was 1) super rude customer service 2) a complete lie and 3) implies that I have nothing better to do than drive 35 min out of my way to get another poor service done. He only fixed 3 out of the 5, which was frustrating. I will definitely not be going back here. read more

After a 2+ week vacation of primarily wearing mandals my feet were more than ready for a little TLC. In other words, it was pedicure time. Since the extra cost of throwing on a manicure was reasonable, I decided to upgrade. Later, as other options were offered, there seems to have been something lost in the conversation translation, as I wound up getting a full paraffin treatment (both hands and feet) that I had not planned on ordering. Although I spent more than I had planned, it was money well spent, indeed. And bags of hot paraffin on your hands and feet was way more relaxing that I would have imagined. Neither the mani nor the pedi felt rushed. Also, they were quite efficient, as they did the mani during the pedi. Yes, two separate ladies were hard at work, significantly reducing the total time needed. The chairs here were more comfortable than most. The quality of the work was good as well. Until somebody artfully attacks your well soaked feel with a microplane (genuine branded version), you don't know how much callous you had to remove. The salt scrub was nice, the massage was enjoyable. And compared to some visits to other places, there was very little pain or discomfort. The experience as a whole was a firm "A-". Bonus, you can enjoy all of the wonderful services above while sipping your boba tea from Lollicup, which is right next door. read more

This is the cheapest place I found for shellac mani/pedi ($25 shellac mani, $25 classic pedi). Clean, nice employees, quality nail polish. Taking it down one star because my shellac started chipping a day later. The guy filed my nails again AFTER they were painted which I thought was weird and now they're chipping where he filed. Usually shellac lasts at least a couple weeks for me. I recommend you tell him not to file again after they are painted. read more

I'm very picky about my nails and found out about this place on yelp. I'm here visiting my aunt and was in a dire need to get my nails done. I came in and got the dip powder, it took about an hour and they only charged 40$ which is average. I was very pleased with the lady that did my nails she took her time and often asked me how my nails we're shape, length, etc. I came in with a few nails long a few short and came out with good looking nails. My only problem was after the process was done and it came to the shiny coat they used a gel top coat instead of the dipping powder one. This is the place to go for your manicure or pedicure. It is not fancy, but it is very clean. They have lots of polish options and they have lots of stations so it is easy to walk in or go with a friend. I usually just go for pedicures (nails to short to do anything with), and I love them because their polish never seems to chip! You can opt to upgrade your mani/pedi which gives you an extended massage and paraffin treatment. Their very comfortable chairs have several massage modes, which makes this whole experience a real treat. I dock a star because they are always pushing the up-sell. Hi-per recommendations I went here today. Nikki was gone, apparently moved, but a lady named simply "Don" did a pink & white set for me. I have very thin, fragile nails and she was exceptionally gentle and did a terrific job. Even though this is way across town for me I will consider going back to this conscientious lady. A new set of pink & whites costs $40, but she also used the polishing creme, which meant I walked out with gleaming buffed, dry nails as opposed to having to do time under the lights, a time saver when you need to get in your car right away to finish errands and beat traffic! read more

This nail place was ok. I wasn't impressed at all. I went in for a full set and was surprised at the set up of the lady that did my nails. Her filing kit was held in an old Altoids tin and the utensils used looked unclean. Also when she was applying the acrylic she kept wiping the brush on the glass table even though she had a new napkin. I also requested for a rounded edges. Instead of filing down any harsh edges she clipped the corners and made my nails odd shaped. While filing she also was not very gentle. As for the price, I don't think this was worth $40, maybe $35. But despite the negative, they were nice and didn't mention my cuticles. So far this is the best I've seen in Denver, but I'll continue my question for a good nail salon. read more

First of all, I have been coming to this salon for 15 plus years. My business was nearby orginally, but now Ive made the 20 minute commute for the past 10. Yes Ive had to wait because they double booked, and Yes Ive gotten fungus several times, but today was the absolute WORST! I rescheduled my evening Rebase apt to 9am, after 15 min in the chair, an elderly woman comes in (I'm assuming retired), theres some confusion about her apt, then I'm asked to wait 30 minutes because AGAIN they double booked. Now, this is AFTER my nails were sanded and one nail was removed. I say, I'm sorry but I'm on a tight schedule due to the 4th of July Holiday weekend, I'm told to come back later because the other woman made the "appointment" a week ago for a manicure. I respond, "but I have an appointment now". Again, I'm told to "come back later" because "she had an appointment". Really? So did I. This is just bad business! I'm self employed and my time is valuable. If I ever treated my clients this way, I would be out of business. I will never go back and neither should you. Clean. Good selection of nail polish colors. GREAT vibrating pedicure chairs (I'm talking butt to neck kneading). And nice staff. The surroundings aren't chic and the store sort of gives you the feeling they may be doing something ELSE in the back, but the end result is sparkly (or matte--whatever your desire), well polished peepers. The problem I had was the woman started doing the "Deluxe pedicure" procedure and THEN asked me if that's what I wanted. Um. No. It wasn't what I wanted. OKay, it was great. The massage was longish. On a positive note, I got a gel manicure and my Mom got a regular manicure and the tab was only $40! However, I was very uncomfortable because they were talking and laughing with each other in Vietnamese while working on us. My Mom has dementia and the gal working on her did not talk to her at all!! The gal working on me was very difficult to understand & spoke so softly in was impossible to know what she was asking me. They kept trying to convince me to get my Mom a gel manicure after I said no several times. Two other customers came in while we are there and it was obvious they were laughing at one of the women while working on her feet. This is normally OK when I'm just getting my nails done, but when I'm getting a pedicure and my feet are in hot water/hot pariffin, it can get really uncomfortable when you're trying to relax. I was at Nails Blvd. today, but not to get my nails done. *gasp* Since it's right next door to Lollicup Denver, I actually went in to get my eyebrows waxed, since I've been meaning to do that for a while but had to work up the courage to just walk in, get over the possible pain factor, and ask about it. Besides manicures and pedicures, Nails Blvd does waxing for eyebrows, lips, underarms, and if I recall correctly, arms, legs, and bikini waxing. I've never gone to get facial waxing done before, so obviously it stung a bit after it was all through, but it was pretty quick and straightforward. I was a walk-in but didn't have to wait very long. I went to this salon for a manicure and pedicure based on Yelp's 4-star rating and honestly I just don't understand how anyone could think this was a 4-star experience. It wasn't terrible or anything but it wasn't good enough to make me ever want to go back. The technician that worked on me was distracted the whole time and busy looking around which made me really nervous when she had the cuticle scissors in her hand! She also had a really rough touch which kept me on edge the whole time. Add to that that she clearly had a head cold and I just was not a happy girl.
