I made an appointment on a Friday through my warranty company and the service vendor they assigned couldn't come until the following Tuesday. August in Georgia is no joke. The vendor ended up not fixing anything on Tuesday, but added 2lbs of freon and left. No inspection, didn't check the furnace, didn't come in to check the vents, nothing. So on Wednesday, once the A/C went out again I followed up and made an another appointment, this time we were set for for Friday. The second tech the vendor sent tested the freon and saw that it was empty even though they had just added 2lbs 3 days ago. So the second tech did some test and started packing up. I asked what time he'd come back so that I could be home and he indicated the test takes 48-72 hours to determine where the leak is. I'm not a HVAC professional, but that sounded odd. Once the second tech left without attempting to fix anything, I started calling around and found R Tilery's website. I called to see if I could make an appointment and Ray himself picked up and said he could come later that afternoon. Wow, same day service, what a novel idea. You'd think if I told the vendor my warranty company used that other company's can make same day appointments it would make their heads explode. Ray showed up a few hours later, took the A/C unit apart quickly and inspected the inside and found oil in the bottom of the unit indicating a leak. He tested some gas in the line and we could hear the gas leaking from the unit. So it took Ray all of 15 minutes to do what two different techs could not do in two separate visits. Ray was great, I should have called him first. Don't be like me, call ray first. We will be calling him again if we are ever in need. Thanks Ray!

After 8 years of home ownership on the lake, we started having problems with our air unit not…read morecooling properly. Since we had used Hammond Services for our electrical and plumbing, we called them out to fix our air conditioning problem. The technician diagnosed it and said it was working fine and we needed to add insulation to the attic. After he left, we noticed he left the damper off which allowed hot air from outside come into the house which added a new problem to the problem we already had. We did have an insulation company add insulation to the attic at the cost of $2,000.00. Unfortunately, same problem, HOT house (79 degrees mid day to 11 pm). I called three HVAC companies to get a quote to replace the unit. Covington Air was one of the companies that came out. The Covington Air salesman wanted to first have a repair technician come out before considering replacement. The technician had extensive experience with the Bard Wall Mount unit on our home. He was there for 3 hours, cleaned the coils and added about 1 # of freon and covered all the other bases as well. Immediately after he left, we were able to achieve the desired 75 degrees (from 79) in less than one hour in the heat of the day (outside temp 92 degrees). Hallelujah.... problem solved!!! Thank you Covington Air!!

His estimate was half of the other guys. He closed the valves on my AC unit so we wouldn't leak any more refrigerant so he would have to refill as much. The other company quoted 12 pounds and Eric only ended up adding 4 pounds. Eric completed the replacement, and testing if the new evaporator coil, cleaned up after himself all in about 3 hours. Needless to say, Dependable is now our Service Provider. Their annual service includes 2 inspections with cleaning and filter replacement. Highly recommend this family owned business.
