Turns out I had the head stylist on my second visit and she is very pushy. While she does a great job at my colour, she always offers her opinions in a way that makes you feel inferior. Plus she is very good at sneaking in extra charges. I went in with a booking for a whole head of foils, I get 2 blonde to 1 dark brown. As I was telling her this, she jumps in saying who about instead of the dark brown, we go with a caramel? This sounded good and I agreed to it. When I got to the register the total was well over $230! The whole head plus cut and blow dry is only $185. It turns out she did a whole head of foils blonde and coloured the rest of my hair caramel. Two different treatments! After this experience I was hesitant to go back, but I did and this time I made sure I was very specific with what I wanted and it worked. I managed to tune out her advice (thinly veiled comments about hair damage to get you to buy products) and I got what wanted. They have good prices and a good service, just be prepared to be very specific if you want to stick to a budget.

After filling out an intake form and having my feet gently washed, we went into a private room and I changed into a pair of fisherman pants and no top because some oils were used. There was gentle music, I was kept covered by sheets and an eye pillow (when on my back), and the work felt great. Could barely ask for more. Sen work, acupressure, some shiatsu thrown in bc she was trained in that too, and of course stretches that felt amazing. I hope I can come back on a weekend again!

Soho always seems to be busy but I've never had to book. I can usually walk in and within half an hour my hair will be getting sliced, but often straight away. The staff are very friendly, and I haven't had a bad haircut yet! (But's bound to happen some time, right?!?)

This is talking from a guys perspective of course. I've rarely seen females use this place, its mostly lunchtimes with guys sat down patiently waiting for their turn. They give you a wash afterwards. And a blow dry. And also,if you let them, they will gel your hair for you into whatever shape They think you should be wearing when you step out the shop. There is a loyalty card scheme available here, but I always forget to bring it with me. I guess I'm not too bothered about getting $3 off on my 5th visit.
