To be honest I didn't even know this one existed until a friend of mine back in High School did her work experience there. I took my sister here to get a hair cut and see what the place was like. I would have got the hair cut myself but I worry too much about my hair, I don't like change! The staff were very friendly and kept asking me if I was happy with what they doing to my sisters hair and so forth. They were very efficient. The prices can be a little steep, so it really depends on what you're after. It's not terrible, but it's not brilliant either.

Don't even get me started on how bad the coloring is. This place is overpriced and could definitely use some further training and development so they know when they are about to butcher your hair. In fact, their service and warm helpfulness began on the phone. Referred by a friend, I phoned looking for a short notice booking for myself and two girlfriends. We wanted to all have facials at the same time, prior to my friend's wedding the following day. They bent over backwards to accommodate us and after some creative juggling on their part, sorted us out a booking just when we wanted it and complete with a private room so we could bring our own champagne and nibbles. We each had a facial in succession, while the other two stayed in the 'champagne room'. So we were there over 3 hours and they made us feel so welcome and pampered. Each spa treatment begins with a foot spa, which feels amazing. New clients fill in a questionnaire based on Ayeurvedic principles and temperaments, to determine the type of aromatherapy oils and blends that are most suitable. A complimentary hot beverage is also part io the treatment as is a small gift pack of products and information on the first visit. Their marketing materials could be the subject of a 'this is how you should do it' masterclass. The treatment room is dimly lit with candles, smells divine, has unusual and pretty ornaments and features as well as relaxing music. I saw Kerri who just made me float away with serenity. She was sensitive and professional. All of us came out absolutely glowing and our skin felt sensational! I felt compelled to return the following week for a full body aromatherapy massage and saw Rose, who was also sensitive and professional. The care and attention as well as the take-away feeling of utter relaxation and rejuvenation is just amazing. I can't recommend them too highly. The salon offers a range of services including beauty treatments, the patented Anastasia brow treatments, hair and nails. Can't wait to book in again. When I queried it they said it had been 3 weeks since it was done - the previous weekend was Easter so they were closed. They also are only open 9-5 weekdays and half a day on Saturday. They don't cater to the customers.

Offering a range of beauty treatments as well as hair styling, this salon and its lovely staff can pamper you from head to toe. I appreciate good communication as part of a salon visit and Hayley and team begin with a consultation and then continue with updates throughout the visit to manage expectations. Although not a coffee drinker myself, I have it on good authority that they serve a mean cuppa here and that the Cibo beans are delicious! On my first visit, Hayley did a fabulous job of matching my highlights and mixing the perfect shades, even though she hadn't met me before. The colour lasted beautifully and I'm now enjoying my second visit as I type and am each moment getting closer to the transition to princess! My family and I, happened to be in town having lunch, when my husband disappeared for a few mins only to return and tell me we are going to the hairdresser. They saw my hair, took pity on me and within a couple hours, George and team had corrected the horror on my head and replaced it with everything I originally had wanted from the first hairdresser. I felt welcomed, I felt important and was treated like a queen. I walked out of the salon feeling like a million bucks. Nick does the men's, and Silvia does the ladies', but either are fine to give you a trim when you pop in. During the course of any haircut, they will invariably receive several visits from friends or elderly locals. On my first trip here, while Nick was cutting my hair, a tiny old lady came in to bring him some biscuits she had made. She only spoke Italian, so Nick chatted with her for 15 minutes, hearing her usual stories and filling me in. She took a liking to me and "bella" was bandied around, while she showed me how she used to be a great singer. I also got to hear about Nick's family and his kids' careers. He's a reflective sort, often stopping for a moment before making a statement about life that you appreciate, because he put real thought into it and because it's a sensible truth. Their prices are very low, but remember to bring cash. I come here for a lot more than a haircut, and that's a good thing too, because with all the distractions it takes quite a while!
