This place is great and it's made great by the staff. We had an issue that needed dealt with quickly and we were able to get in the same day. Everyone was super kind, nice, and patient. The endodontist was great and friendly and so understanding. The techs were great! They were able to perform the service we needed to fix a very painful issue in about an hour. Only issue was the cost. Holy smokes, it's expensive even with insurance. Place was really nice. They play country music through out office, when we got there it was a bit loud in the room, it was eventually turned down a bit. They took care of the issue quickly, very happy with the care they gave us and so happy with the staff. If I could find a dentist like this it would be wonderful. read more

We came a few days after my initial appointment, which I do believe I reviewed. It too was very good. Normally I would have complained vehemently at such a lack of tech know-how, but since we had an appointment in FW anyways, no big deal. Got in and out fast, with disc in hand. Office is unorganized. I had a 6 month follow up appt on Tuesday at 9 am, I received no confirmation call or text prior to confirm my appt so I called before driving 45 minutes there. After searching and searching they found my appt and confirmed 9 am. I got there at 8:40, no one was at the desk, waited 15 minutes to finally be check in and was told, I don't have you on our schedule. Again after searching and searching they found my account. During the appt found out that my root canal failed and surgery was suggested. I went ahead and scheduled the recommended surgery for the following Monday at 1 pm. Show up at 12:35 and am told - We don't have you on our schedule. Receptionist checked with the Dr and came back to ask, can you come back another day? How did my appt get lost again for the 2nd time in 1 week. I missed my 2nd graders field trip and drove 45 minutes for nothing. I will not return to this office - found another endodontist that was more organized. read more

I have been a patient of Dr Yelton for a few years now and could not be more happy with him as my Endodonitcs doctor. I came to him after a referral from Dr. Laska(my lovely dentist ) when she noticed that my old root canal that was done awhile ago by another clinic was reinfected. Immediately I went to Dr.Yelton since I was on the verge of going out of the country and he could not have been more kind and dedicated to his practice. He explains things thoroughly and clearly and his patient . A year or so now after my procedure he counties to have consistent communication and check ups yearly on my re treatment root canal and I have had no problems. EE was in-network insurance-wise for my new root canal and retreat of an old one. Very nice office and excellent staff. Dr. Y is professional and very skilled. He uses a generous amount of numbing. He uses piped-in music as a part of the procedure. It is played at substantial volume (which I liked), and he WILL be heartily singing along with the tunes while he works on you. I found it an effective, other-sense distraction from all the stuff going on in my mouth. Like another reviewer, I had to remind myself to not physically "jamb along" in the chair to the music too much so he could properly work. I recommend him 100%. read more

Both the Dr and myself agreed on pharmacy, upon arrival was told there was no record for prescription. I called the office back, and was told "it was put on hold". I was referrred by another dentist so I can in with my own X-rays. They convinced me to get a 3D X-ray that was $200 additional to the already $250 consultation that I was not told about until I was leaving. Money was not an issue, communication was. Not sure who's to blame but there is no business that will take you as an appointment without going over the financial details. Had I known I would've been prepared to spend almost $500 on an X-ray that i already had. Like I stated I came with my own X-rays that I paid for yesterday with the Dentist that referred me to them. I was sent here by my dentist , Dr.Lee! I had the pleasure to get a retreatment root canal in my front incisor tooth with Dr.Tar. Who knew that a root canal retreatment be so awesome! He was thorough in explaining the procedure after reviewing the X-rays and hearing the history of this tooth that has been worked on a few times. My experience was great! I felt respected and the staff made me comfortable for being there as a new patient. I would definitely recommend to go there. As well they check up on you to make sure even after procedure how you feel. If you are haven tooth issues that sound like a root canal!!! Go see Dr.Tar. I am spelling his name wrong I think. Dr. Yelton might very well be a fine DDS but I will not know due to the incompetence of the office staff and office manager. I needed medical clearance. Despite my informing them multiple times and informing them that I would handle it if they were unable they failed to get that. Upon arriving I then made the phone calls to find out that I could not have to procedure. I voiced my disappointment with the front desk and asked to speak to the manager. I was there a total of 50 Minutes. The front desk staff was on her cell phone while I made phone calls etc and the office manager never bothered to come speak with me. I saw the DDS and asked to speak to him and he did speak with me and was apologetic and polite. I hate to see his practice affected by incompetent and uncaring office staff. read more

My first visit with Dr. Yelton I could not complete the procedure because (1) the music was entirely too loud, and (2) the music agitated my anxiety even more during the procedure. I felt uncomfortable and not relaxed and could not complete the procedure. I came back the next day to complete because I was in so much pain. I am not sure if the pain was caused from not completing the procedure? When I came back the next day, again the music was way too loud. When I expressed to his dental assistant that I did not want the music playing, she responded that he cannot concentrate without the music. I told her I still wanted the music completely off during my procedure. Finally, no music playing and I was able to complete the root canal. What a stressful 2 days. My personal experience is there is no importance of patient comfort nor understanding towards the needs of the patient. What was important was that loud music be played so the doctor could concentrate while working on the patients. read more

They are the best, skip the dentist and go straight to the professionals, the price you pay is well worth the service, very little to no pain during the exam and they did a lot of work. I even had to use the restroom in the middle of the procedure and they allowed it. read more

The staff and doctor here are absolutely phenomenal at there jobs. I went in to get a root canal and was referred by my dentist. It was in network with my insurance so it didn't break the bank. The Staff was all super friendly and explained everything they were doing while doing it. The doctor is amazing at giving shots. I hate shots, I hate going to get dental work done, but I would come back here anytime. If he could clean my teeth and fill my cavities I would let him! I was recommended by my Dentist DR. Avila. My visit from entry to the office to the staff in back was top notch. I work for Sewell so I understand customer service and I received amazing customer service. Got me in the day before Thanksgiving and treated me the same day! Yes the price was high but, it was worth it. I don't think I want the lowest bidder to work on my mouth. just the equipment alone in this place had to be a fortune. Personally I loved the fact that he played music, when I told him that he even turned it up. Brilliant because this helped ME focus on something other than the drilling and other procedures going on. As an African American women, I struggle with trusting doctors, but I have to share my great experience with Dr. Yelton. My nerves and anxiety grew overnight knowing I would not be put under anesthesia during my root canal procedure. Dr. Yelton assured me that I would be fine the day before. Weeks prior, I started a new job and I was also anxious about how long my painful recovery process would take. Upon arrival, Dr. Yelton's positive energy level was such an inspiration. Doc played his music and worked on my tooth and even had the music loud enough that it took my mind off of the sound of the tool being used in my mouth (another factor in my anxiety). So long story short, I was done about 11ish. I only took two over the counter mortrin and took my chances of going to work. I had absolutely no pain!! Really! I am so pleased with the endodontic work performed by Dr Yelton. I had root canal work done in his office on two different occasions. Dr Yelton has impressed me with his knowledge and experience in this field. He is active in the endodontic profession and I feel his techniques and equipment are state of the art. Before my last procedure I had unbelievably severe pain happening for a few hours at a time. Since I was about to embark on a trip in two days Dr Yelton immediately started the half-day root canal procedure instead of waiting a few days to schedule it in. They seem to specialize in root canals. Root canals are expensive and it's no different here. But, I felt confident in Dr. Yelton's abilities, knowing he'd done a million of them. He does propose some services that make his job easier but that may not be covered by your insurance. His staff, however, is very good at informing you of these before hand. They'll call your insurance to check for you and leave the choice to you. Ashley was particularly awesome at following up with me regarding insurance issues even after my visit. They get 3 stars because I didn't like Dr. Yelton's presentation. He wasn't wearing what one would call professional attire. And the music playing was his own personal playlist, which wasn't geared towards the patient nor professional. Lastly, he seemed to treat his personal protective equipment as optional, taking it off several times during the procedure. Considering how much I was paying, I expected better from him. The procedure went extremely well though. All discomfort has disappeared from the area. read more

I had the most fun and comfortable root canal I have ever had in my life, Dr Yelton loves music and plays it so that you don't have to deal with the other annoying noises that come with root canal work. I found myself air tapping my toes and moving my fingers to the beats. I went in because I thought I needed a root canal. Knowing I was in considerable pain, the office managed to squeeze me in for an appointment right away. Once I actually arrived, they did everything possible to make my visit more enjoyable (offered me water, didn't rush me on the paperwork, helped me with directions, etc). Aside from the staff, Dr. Yelton is terrific! He was extremely knowledgeable, and took ample time explaining his thinking to a non-dds like me. As an added plus, he played music while he worked; it took my mind off of the pain and helped me relax during the sensitivity tests. If I could give 10 stars I would. I was told I would need to see a specialist after my general dentist did a root canal that failed and caused me substantial pain because they couldn't keep me numb during the procedure. I honestly was terrified when I went to see Dr. Yelton to get the root canal redone just 3 weeks after the initial attempt. But he was fantastic... he was able to keep me numb through the entire procedure and kept me calm and amused by his singing along to the office music as he went. Next time I know if I'm told I need a root canal to request to be referred directly to him!! read more

I am a dental consultant who gets to travel all over the country and see dentists and specialists of all walks of life....I was referred to Dr. Yelton and his team by one of my clients because I was going through some serious issues with two of my teeth that I had never experienced before...and was quite emotional. Janet, who is so friendly on the phone did everything in her power to get me on the schedule, accommodating my busy travel calendar. She also did a great job at going over any financial arrangements and investigating any insurance savings I would be able to apply to my treatment. Sirena was excellent in her care, friendliness; was very thorough and--very accommodating to my needs as their patient. Because of what I do for a living, I naturally observe what is going on around me in the dental office. Sirena was training a new team member and what I really liked was how friendly and kind she was, walking her through the steps as well as how respectful Dr. Yelton spoke to her while he was doing treatment on my teeth. Not all doctors communicate this way and that was important for me to hear. I was so relieved to be able to do the treatment same day and Dr. Yelton was fantastic. Most patients I meet across the country are very wary of having to have a root canal--Dr. Yelton makes it entertaining (yes, he does play awesome music loudly while he works and YES, he does sing while doing so) and for me, it helped my anxiety of getting through the treatment easier. Dr. Yelton is confident, informative, friendly, took time to talk with me and answered all my questions ( I had many). I had a previous experience in another specialist's practice that left me very upset emotionally and Dr. Yelton and his team did such an amazing job, I'm so grateful my client referred me to him! I also am virtually pain free yesterday and today--just tenderness, which is to be expected. This was a great experience and I have to say that being in the dental field, I would recommend Dr. Yelton to anyone who is interested in quality care, and excellent service....and you can sing along if you want....no one will hear you under the rubber dam. read more

My experience was so-so. My root canal was 3 days ago, tooth still hurts. Was told that he is "out of town" and can't be seen for another 4 days. If you like loud classic rock music (and I happen to), this is the place for you, however I would think this would turn the older adult crowd off. And I didn't really need him to sing to me during my procedure. Really? I think they should offer music tailored to each individual patient, personal headphones for example. He seemed nice and outgoing at first but as the appointment progressed he came across a bit cocky and arrogant, especially with his all female staff. read more
