I have been going to Associated Dental Care, specifically Dr. Adam Szatkowski, for over five years. When I originally went to the office, I had not been to a dentist for years and needed extensive dental treatment. Dr. Adam looked over my dental status, reviewed my dental needs and then scheduled a follow-up consultation with me and explained in detail what work I needed done and a price point analysis of the work that needed to be done. I decided to have Dr. Adam perform the necessary work. I am glad that I did. My only regret is that I did not know about this dental practice 30 years ago when I first moved to the area. For young families, with children, this is the ideal dental practice to get established in from the get-go. Forget the pediatric dentists for the kids, just go to Associated Dental Care for your entire family dental needs. You won't regret that decision. The dental office is extremely clean....something that I notice, especially when it comes to invasive dental procedures. There is a room dedicated to sterilization and the rooms are prepped prior to each new patient's arrival. Lastly, I would be remiss, if I didn't mention the wonderful and professional staff at ADC, from the reception ladies at the front desk to the dental hygienists, dental assistants and the accounts manager. I have had interaction with all of them over the years and I have been met with courtesy, respect and understanding. Oooopss, I almost forgot to mention that there is no lag time when your appointment is scheduled. If your appointment is for 11 am, you are seen promptly at that time, which is important in our busy lives. read more

I (reviewer's wife) have been coming to Associated Dental Care since I could walk (I'm 25 now). I don't trust my dental health to any one else! I have tried unsuccessfully to change to a new dentist a few times due to getting married and moving to the city - but after one painful and another very unprofessional/mediocre experience with other dentists - myself and my husband decided it was worth the hour drive to the 'burbs to see Dr. Mackenbach and his wonderful, and I mean WONDERFUL - team. The office itself, the service, the equipment, and the knowledge at ADC cannot be beat. The receptionists (especially Debbie, who has been there since I was a kid) are out of this world; Friendly, warm, informative, and incredibly helpful and KIND - especially when you have to reschedule your appointments (even when it's the 3rd resched.). The hygienists at ADC, are top of the line and; and incredibly talented at what they do. As someone who struggles with anxiety in regards to cleanings and fillings - this team cannot be beat. My husband and I just relocated to FL, however when I fly back to visit friends and family I will also be making a trips back to ADC for my cleanings. Yes, they're that Good. Our family started with Szat in 1973 or 1974. My husband and I are now patients of Dr. Adam. Dr. Frank was always there when we needed him for an emergency or just to talk to. He always had time for us and my kids just loved him. When the kids got older, they moved out of state, but our daughter-in-law still is a patient when she's working here in Illinois. Frank and my husband, Bob talked about fishing quite a lot and we always brought him white bass in the spring from the Wolf River. Sometimes my husband would smoke them and boy did he like that! At one point, when Adam was in his last year at school, he worked on a crown for me, and after he finished working in my mouth, I told Frank that he was actually better than him, he was so gentle I almost didn't know he was working!!!! Frank said that was the best compliment anyone could give him. Anyway, we miss Frank a lot, but we have Adam, and he's every bit as good as his dad was!!! I can't say enough about all the hygenists', they are all "FANTASTIC". And the rest of othe office staff are great, if you need an appointment right away, they always try to squeeze you in. Up untill my last visit i was very happy with Associated Dental Care. I had made a payment plan as i am on social security. Dr. Mackenbach told me next visit if i paid 300.00 at time of visit he would fix the two cavities that needed work. I did as asked but was asked into a room to talk with someone whom i did not know and she changed everything he had told me. The price was now 375.00. As anyone on that kind of a budget knows there is only so much to go around. I know this was not the Dr. who changed everything and made it impossible for me to get my teeth fixed and i will recommend him to anyone not in my situation . He has always been kind and more then happy to work with me. And as for the woman whom i spoke with maybe she thought to root canals would be within my reach . If a cavity is not fixed that is the only other option.Again the Dr. and all the woman up front are good kind people so by all means if you need a dentist i am sure you will be happy there. read more

I have to say the thought of getting my wisdom teeth pulled was very scary. I went to see Adam and he told me he does not knock you out to do the extractions. I about walked out right there. He assured me that he was very good with shots and extractions, so I decided to stay. I have had shots in dentist's offices before and Adam was by far the best. To my surprise all I felt was a little pinch, like he promised. He made the extractions quick and made them seem easy. In addition to being good at what he does he is very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable. I did not feel like he was out to get money. He told me about something that I might need to get done, but he rather wait and see to make sure it is necessary before I spent my money on it. He is conservative and doesn't go drilling and pulling to ring up the bill. I couldn't have been happier with my experience and will not go to another dentist again. read more

I have been opening up my mouth wide for Associated Dental for almost 18 years. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I just love the whole staff. I consider them all my "friends". Dr. Mackenbach even came into the office over a holiday weekend to do an emergency root canal on me. He never complained about having to come in. He is amazing. My entire family goes there and I have referred many friends as well. WE ALL LOVE THEM!!! I actually look forward to my cleanings. Its a hurt that feels so good. I show off my pearly whites when I leave. And speaking of leaving, I cannot walk out of my room when my visit is over without giving Dr. Mackenbach a hug. Dr. John Mackenbach has been my dentist for over 20 years (feeling old when I put it this way). From the very first time going to the office and even till now, the staff has always treated me with the up most respect and hospitality. On occasions, I must bring my children with me and every member on the AD team welcomes them and makes them feel at home. I went through the Invisalign treatment with Dr. John and had to visit the office more than typical 6 month cleaning patient and was always greeted with a smile from one of my favorite people, Debbie. This entire staff at Associated Dental in Bloomingdale, IL, truly makes the visit a pleasant and wonderful experience. I have moved a few times since my first visit. My husband's family has been going to Dr. Szatkowski for over 20 years, so when I married, I switched over to his office too. What made me switch was when my mother-in-law told me how Dr. Adam's father actually found the skin cancer on her nose during a regular oral exam and directed her to get it further investigated. She was so grateful he was so alert and attentive. Years later, he found an extremely rare, but major gum related receding issue on my husband, which could have cost him his teeth if he had not caught it as early as he did. So in our experience, his son Dr. Adam was taught by the best dentist and now our family continues to get very attentive and professional attention from Dr. Adam and his team. Can I add that I drive all the way from Carpentersville and refuse to find another dentist closer because we're so happy with the care we get. read more

My husband and I have been going to Associated Dental for over 20 years and my almost-adult kids have been going there since pre-school. The staff is great and we would recommend every one of the dentists and hygenists. They are all very friendly and caring and provide excellent dental care. Dr. Mack has been my dentist from the beginning. He handled all the various general dental care and problems over the years such as bridges and fillings and I've always been happy with the results. Also, Dr. Mack is the only dentist I've had who can give painless novacaine shots by massaging the gums. I've had several dentists over my lifetime and Associated Dental is the best! I have been a patient of Dr. Mackenbach since Oct. 1996 and I wish I started with him sooner. From my first visit he noticed that one of my front teeth was discolored and had asked if I had any injury to that tooth. I responded yes, when I was around 12 -13 yrs old. I was 41 at my first visit. My former dentist who I began seeing when I was in my mid teens, never said or did anything about it. I was totatly impressed with the professionalism and kindness of Dr, Mack. from that first visit. I have highly recommened him to my family and many friends. I have found that all dentists, hygenists, and front desk staff are very friendly and they have become like family.I am a person who is a chicken when it comes to pain, but Dr. Mackenbach assured me that he is known as the painless dentist...and he has kept to his reputation ( and I must say I have been treated by the other dentists as well with the same painless treatment...maybe it's in the water there!!) Dr. John has been my dentist for almost 30 years!! I've had a lot of work done on my teeth and Dr. John has been an artist in correcting and making my teeth look good. I have learned to appreciate my teeth and learned to take care of them through the suggestions of the hygienists, who are also wonderful. Dr. John always makes me feel relaxed and calms my fears. From the beginning the girl answering the phone was so very pleasant and this continued when I was greeted at the front desk and then taken on a tour of the office. What a nice touch! My family has been going to Dr. John for 25 yrs. We have been very satisfied with the whole staff. The service is always very prompt, and it is the only dental office where I don't sit and wait. Even as preschoolers my children always looked forward to going to the dentist. I just need to tell all that when I came to Associated Dental Care it was because I had been to another dentist in the area and he said that I had a cavity on a lower tooth. I wanted a second opinion and Dr. Szatkowski gave me one. I did not have a cavity on that lower tooth. I knew then that I would be able to trust Dr. Szatkowski. It's been a couple of years and my lower tooth is still good. i recently moved to bloomingdale, so i had to find a new dentist. i noticed that aesthetic dental llc was having a special on dental cleaning, so i decided to take advantage of it. the receptionist there was very nice. she really helped me out a lot in figuring out insurance. first i had an xray done, then the hygienist cleaned my teeth. she was very gentle. then dr. yuan came in and examined my mouth. he was very professional and very nice. the office was relaxing, too. i am happy i chose aesthetic dental llc and i definitely recommend it to others. read more
