Pretty sad operation going on at this office. They do a great job at selling you a thought with…read moregiving you very little concreate information. As you start to sign the contracts to place holds that's when we should have realized by how open ended it is for them the builder. Mind you holds were placed at the end of 2020 and were verbally told construction was estimated to start around Nov/Dec 2021. The sales team does a great job at reassuring you at the time of all this, but then we got our first extension notice. Then we were informed by the sales manager that she couldn't give a date but that we now have 14 houses ahead of us still..... That sounds like years folks. So now you start to think here is the ploy, and you tell me if it doesn't sound like a scam. The housing market since 2020 has gone up in the area over 17%, and so why not delay construction on "items beyond our control" which would then discourage people and want to cancel. They could then relist the lot for a much higher price! Then they come back with "well we know times are tough. So we'll allow you to cancel and instead of holding you to the termination amount, we will just keep your $7,000. Interesting how we continue to get held to terms of this open ended contract for them, but they can treat people like this regarding their soon to be home. They cancelled other contracts while providing a full refund of their holding deposit. We are just seeking the same (equal treatment). How did we find this out well look into the comments folks! We aren't the only ones not happy here. Save yourself the time, money, and heartache and go with KB or other larger developers in the area. They have both in process builds (with dates of delivery!) or in process of.. Myself and Fiancée would love to speak to someone of authority (outside of the onsite office) regarding our transaction and the sales office. Please feel free to reach out to me directly as I would love to get this resolved.

Due to covid we had some misfortune and a a couple of months later asked for our deposit back. We were told "We don't give refunds" by Alysha. She said she's not allowed to give the owner's name or email. Keep in mind zero ground has been broken there is absolutely no reason they need to keep all of our $7000.00 deposit.

This is my fourth new house and by far the lowest quality I have had. They apparently choose their…read moresubcontractors based on price and not skill or quality. There is also minimal supervision and it appears the subs are basically left to decide what is good enough quality on their own. I thought I was hiring a builder who would make sure things were done correctly with quality craftsmanship but apparently I was just hiring a scheduler, which I could have done on my own. Every sink inlet in the house has leaked, the kitchen sink drain failed leaving dirty water standing in the cabinet. Water in the master bathroom cabinet caused mold. The seal for one of the toilets failed. One of the attic fans was off balance and never checked causing an entire wall to vibrate until fixed, possibly cracking tile in one bathroom. Concrete driveway was unreinforced so it cracked under the weight of an empty moving truck. Toilet paper holders have multiple holes drilled behind them without repair so the screws pop out of the drywall. Holes were drilled in the wrong spot on the granite so that there are drill marks left behind due to relocation. The glass door doesn't close right. The house didn't have electricity set up when we got the keys so it was over a month and a fight with Edison before we could move in. The cabinets which we upgraded were knicked and marred and they run their thumbs on the marks with stain without matching the finish. Baseboards pop off the wall in one room and they just came and filled it with caulk until it does it again. Fire sprinkler pipes in the garage leaked. With all the leaking we have seen, I wonder what is going on behind the walls. Bathroom fixtures have no seals or caulk so water can get in and under them. One of the worst problems is the weepscreeds are not up against the foundation the whole way around the house. If you live in the desert, you know how big of a problem this is. I have already seen a kangaroo rat and a lizard run up inside the wall. Also, the garage door has already fallen off the track once and the cable came off the tensioner. He says he gives you a two year warranty, but he buys it as soon as he starts building so by the time you move in you have less than a year. As far as dealing with them is concerned, they leave a lot to be desired as well. If you want something they forget you. If they want something they hassle you. You wind up making multiple trips to their office for something that could be handled in one because they aren't organized enough to schedule time for you all at once. They won't give you plans to your house so that you can stay on top of what is going on in the build process even though their subs apparently have trouble reading blueprints and their foreman doesn't have time to spend at your house making sure it's done right. They give you no time after contract signing or even before telling you common things you may want to change about the house to make it more comfortable or better suited for life in the high desert. As far as design, it looks good. The floor plan is nice. The whole house is lacking lights and there are none on the back of the house or at one end. Even if your garage is an end entry they tie the lights into the switch on the front of the house. Switches in the main rooms are in weird places and there is only one meaning you have to go multiple places to turn on all the lights in one room. I know there is more but I can't think of it all right now. They are friendly enough when you talk to them and they do build a house. I would look elsewhere if you are trying to get something quality.
