Then we were informed by the sales manager that she couldn't give a date but that we now have 14 houses ahead of us still..... That sounds like years folks. So now you start to think here is the ploy, and you tell me if it doesn't sound like a scam. The housing market since 2020 has gone up in the area over 17%, and so why not delay construction on "items beyond our control" which would then discourage people and want to cancel. They could then relist the lot for a much higher price! Then they come back with "well we know times are tough. So we'll allow you to cancel and instead of holding you to the termination amount, we will just keep your $7,000. Interesting how we continue to get held to terms of this open ended contract for them, but they can treat people like this regarding their soon to be home. They cancelled other contracts while providing a full refund of their holding deposit. We are just seeking the same (equal treatment). How did we find this out well look into the comments folks! We aren't the only ones not happy here. Save yourself the time, money, and heartache and go with KB or other larger developers in the area. They have both in process builds (with dates of delivery!) or in process of.. Myself and Fiancée would love to speak to someone of authority (outside of the onsite office) regarding our transaction and the sales office.
