I've been a client at Essentials Spa for several years and all my experiences have been positive. More often than not, I receive massages from Marbelis and opt for her husband Carlos when she isn't available. Rhonda is my go to for facials as she's literally one of the BEST local estheticians. She does a superb job and I actually relax enough to fall asleep during her facials. On this particular visit, my go to massage therapists weren't available due to the fact neither work on Sundays. At Rhonda's recommendation, I booked my massage with Stephen (sp?) which turned out to be a solid choice. He did a fantastic job gauging my needs and delivering a deep tissue massage without me needing to remind him about the pressure. Moreover, he was both kind and professional. I wouldn't have any reservations about utilizing him for future massages. Finally, they're offering a variety of Mother's Day specials through the end of the month. I've been coming to this massage spa for over a year, and it used to be one of my favorite places to relax and recover. Unfortunately, over my last five visits, the quality of service has declined significantly, and my most recent experience was disappointing enough that I felt compelled to leave a review. My girlfriend and I booked a couples massage for 3:00 PM. We arrived early at 2:50 PM, but were left waiting for approximately 20 minutes before our session actually began. Despite the delayed start, the massage still ended at 3:50 PM, meaning we did not receive the full hour of service that we paid for. One of the small touches we always enjoyed after our massages was being able to choose a complimentary beverage. We have consistently chosen the red wine option because it's something we look forward to at the end of our sessions. Unfortunately, even that simple detail was incorrect during this visit. The biggest issue, however, was the massage itself. I always book a deep tissue massage because I work out six days a week and have lingering back issues from playing college football. I rely on deep tissue work for recovery and pain relief. This session felt nothing like a deep tissue massage. Honestly, it felt as though lotion was simply being rubbed onto my skin with very little pressure or therapeutic work being done. I left feeling exactly the same as when I walked in. In fact, I was so unsatisfied that I immediately started calling other massage establishments in the area to see if I could get another appointment that same day because I received virtually no benefit from this session. I am not someone who complains often, and I am usually a very generous tipper when I receive good service. This was one of the few times I have ever left without tipping because I genuinely felt that neither my girlfriend nor I received the experience we paid for. It's disappointing to see how much this place has changed. What was once a reliable and enjoyable experience has become consistently frustrating. Based on my recent experiences, I cannot recommend spending your time or money here. There are better options in the area that will provide the service and value you expect. read more

Eddy is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Her massages make you feel like you are in HEAVEN!!! She is so strong yet each massage is tailored to meet your needs and wants. She is professional yet so personable. You can enjoy a full spa day including a facial, 1 hour massage, and 1 hour foot massage with a glass of wine and snacks for under $300! Brought my mom here for her birthday and it was fantastic. Couldn't beat the price for a 90 min massage. The birthday balloon and sign upon arrival was super thoughtful. Every employee knew we were there for my moms birthday and was extremely kind when checking in/out. My massage was with Lili and it was fantastic! One of my favorite spas in Palm Beach Gardens. What's the best part about going to Essentials Spa? Well I'd have to say their Spa Day! A 50 minute massage, 50 minute facial and 50 minute foot reflexology all for $150 (with gratuity already included), it's a steal! Plus you get a glass of wine with some cheese and crackers during your reflexology treatment, so how can one complain? My massage therapists have always been phenomenal and I love seeing different styles and techniques each one uses. I always get my facials from Rhonda because she is so attentive to my skin care needs and takes the time to care for my skin. If you're looking for a day of pampering alone or with a friend(s)/mother/daughter/husband/etc, this is a real treat without breaking the bank! Not looking for a full 3 hour time commitment? Had a cancellation where I had originally booked, locally where we live in Wellington the day before my appointment on Valentines Day. First place I called was Essentials Spa and they were very accommodating on such short notice. We had a couples massage with Jessica and Nicole. I was massaged by Nicole and she did an absolutely fantastic job. I am a big guy and used to pain. And she put all her weight into loosening up my back and shoulders. She earned every penny and then some. My wife had a facial after the massage. Fantastic job. The entrance is simply and unassuming, but clean and nice. Receptionist friendly and to the point. The rooms were nice and clean. Pleasant smell, low lighting as I was a couples massage on Valentines Day. Nice and romantic. Rooms and lounge was decorated very tasteful and romantic. Hidden gem! Was in town for a girls' trip and we were able to book 4 massages at the same time. I got lucky and had an incredible masseuse: Destiny. Do yourself a favor and book a 90 min massage with her. I was so sad when my 50 mim massage was over. She did an phenomenal job and I'm really picky with masseuses. Visited this spa for the first time last week for a prenatal massage and it was really nice. The spa is clean and everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. My therapist did a great job. My only complaint would be that there was no pillow provided for your head and I had to put mine on the table for the entire massage. A full body pillow was given to hug since the massage is on your side but mid way through my neck and shoulders began to hurt because there was no support. I suggest the spa provide one for any future clients getting a prenatal massage. read more

I just had the absolute worst facial. The Esthetician clearly had no idea what she was doing. I booked a European facial with a microdermabrasion. The Esthetician not only did not know how to do microdermabrasion, I needed to give her instruction, and she left bruises all down my neck from her lack of skill and knowledge. When it came time for the facial, she cleaned my skin, took about 10 minutes to apply the mask and asked what I wanted massaged. I told her my hands. She massaged my aromas and hands forgetting fingers on both sides. It took her at least 10 minutes to remove the mask and then sent me on my way. No massage, no extractions, no SKILL, period. When I got in my car it was then that I noticed she still left some of the mask on. My skin is much drier than when I came to her in the first place. Chris- the fact it took you 7 days to respond to my complaint after the receptionist emailed you when I left asking you to call me, which you didn't, shows exactly just how important this complaint was to you. To be fair, I did go here once and had a great experience. However, today I had the worst experience. We booked a couples massage days in advance, and then 20 min before our appt (while we were in the car half way there) they called to tell me the therapist was running 30 min behind schedule, and our only recourse--if my husband didn't want a male therapist, which he did not--was to shorten our appt 30 min, but still pay the full price. Are you kidding?? To make matters worse, the woman who called was unapologetic and even rude, and said the reason they could only do 30 min was because other customers were booked right after us, and the therapist was booked solid all day long (which is why she was behind in the first place). This place is more interested in trying to jam in customers than actually serve and retain them. They mismanaged their schedule, would not admit their mistake, and then expected us to be the suckers that helped them get back on schedule by accepting half the service but paying full price?! When I asked why we were getting the shortened slot vs. someone else, the answer I got was that "we called others but you were the only one that answered the phone". Unbelievable. Been coming here since they first opened. I love this place. Prices are great, staff is great & helpful. Explain how you like your massages and they will pair you with the perfect person, but honestly all of them are good. Coco is great if you like strong massages like myself. I have done facials here & they were also great, so great I fall asleep every time. Was amazing but as of Jan 2018 it's now under new ownership. Kim sold to a guy named Keith. Unfortunately his customer service is unprofessional and his management skills are poor. They no longer provide calls to remind you of your appointment. He makes threats to charge your credit card and doesn't even disclose that he keeps your credit card on file. He makes excuses for untrained staff by saying, "I can't control people when I'm not there." So to expect that he will manage massage therapists in a vulnerable environment is illogical. This place was an amazing, neighborhood gem, but with the new management it is a soulless illicit corporation. Super Sad. read more

Best place to get away and de-stress. Most massage places your lucky if you can find a great massage therapist, here I have found almost everyone they book me with I have had a great massage. I do have my favorite therapists that I rebook with but if they are not available I don't really have to worry that who is available won't be as good. Went for a couples massage with my husband it was wonderful! The couples room was clean and nicely decorated. My therapist Ruben gave me the PERFECT massage. I didn't have to tell him one thing he knew all my problem areas, It's like he read my mind lol. After we had wine and snacks in the nicely decorated relaxing room.
