I plan to have a special place for her in my new home which will be finished soon. I will at last communicate with the wonderful women I met in Fairy Moon as I promised to do when I bought her. I like a well put together store with real treasures. Junk in the Trunk had all the secondhand treasures you would want. Who would discard these items? I wanted everything. Mostly for my daughter but she isn't a girly girl and I had to send her pictures with a note "do you want this?" Miraculously, I got one response as a yes! Made some purchases for one of my sons without asking him. Ingram Loop has some treasures y'all. I loved every single shop I walked into. Most of them full of vintage, antiques, used items. Talk to the owners, or staff they are all very friendly and don't forget negotiate. I usually just pay what's on the tag but I had backup and I feel like a winner!

The lady in front of me had a HUGE bag of clothes, shoes, trinkets and paid $21. Another lady had 10 T shirts or so and paid around $10. Don't be afraid of the line, it moves quick they know what they are doing.

I hope they are using Ebay prices for items that actually sold, not what are being asked It is staffed by all volunteers and last year they gave $1 million to the Hill Country Youth Ranch. That sounds like a lot but given expenses have been exceeding revenue by over $1 million a year the Youth Ranch Foundation continues to cover it but their money won't last for ever. I have friends who moved to the Big Springs Ranch for Children in Leaky which is part of HCYR to be volunteer live in grand parents. Beautiful setting with a working ranch, charter school and chapel but I believe only 2 of their 6 cabins are in use now. It's hard to get staff when you are that far from a good sized town.
