Great Breakfast Spot!…read more I'll start by admitting--I'm not usually a breakfast person. I like it fine, but I'd often rather wait until lunch to start eating for the day. We stopped here on our way back to Tulsa from Branson, and I'm so glad we did! My son had the pancake platter, which he absolutely loved. But the real star? The breakfast sliders. Oh my goodness--these are the BEST breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. The bread is perfect--fluffy on the inside, slightly crispy on the outside. I chose the sausage (bacon and ham are also options), and it was delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked, and the cheese paired beautifully. You get two sliders per plate and can choose your side bread item--I went with the house potatoes, which were seasoned perfectly and had the same delightful fluffy-yet-crispy texture as the bread. I could only eat one slider myself and brought the other home for my husband--he texted me the next morning saying it was just as amazing. Our waitress (I'm sorry I forgot her name!) was so kind and welcoming. The place is small and charmingly decorated, adding to the cozy vibe. All in all, we had the best breakfast. This is definitely a must-stop and a place I'll recommend to anyone traveling this way. Highly recommend!

This breakfast joint is the best!! They cover breakfast from hash, Biscuits and GRAVY to sugar…read moreoverloaded treats, not just donuts!   They are so fresh and delicious, loved every single bite!  The gravy is not from a mix at all. 100% home-cooked. The hash includes delightful eggs,  incredible potatoes, home cooked sausage, topped off with cheese!!!! The Donish's taste unbelievable.  This is something you have to experiences to understand.   The Donish creation needs to be on the travel  channel or food network!  It's kinda like if a donut, funal cake, and Danish all had and orgy. This breakfast joint doesn't look like much from the outside. But don't judge a book by it's cover!!!! It's a stop worth the 5 minute drive from the highway.  Infact between the local amazing things to do and this breakfast lovin place they have huge potential to make a big mark in the road triping world. This is a must stop place, a little of something for every belly!!!! *Exellent service too boot, I can only recommend!! Coming from Dallas, Texas these prices outstanding bargains! Bud's has all the best doughnuts: yeast, old-fashioned, cake, frosted, longjohns, twists. Every glaze is hand dipped. Every doughnut is hand made and fried to perfection. You have to get them early, though. Bud's opens around 5:30am and he's rarely there past 9:00am. That is a solid testament to how good and how popular these local pastries are. If you're new, try the plain old-fashioned or the maple glazed yeast doughnut. Once you do, you'll be back to try the rest.

Located in T/A store building where Cafe once was. This Subway open from 10 to 10 7 days a week…read moreit's like any other Subway for the most part. In Joplin starting but yesterday I also noticed that when I was in a franchise to Petro that masks were not worn and here is the same thing from the employees and the travel store to the subway employees. you find that gloves are as like preparing food. one other thing I noticed so they do wear gloves of course prepare the food the one they get done they don't wash their hands before they put another pair of gloves on I see this happened a lot of places...finish ringing up a sale finish doing something and you walk right back and put on a fresh pair of gloves then you take them off to ring up the sale but then you put the gloves on but don't wash your hands that's one thing I noticed herestood out but this isn't the first place that I've seen that before. I was surprised when I first came in and noticed that there is social distancing practice for the most part tables spaced out get masks are not enforced. they're fountain machine they were having trouble ordering drinks half of the product was out so I opted to go next door and get a Powerade sugar-free. footlong turkey sub the ingredients seem to be fairly fresh for the most part food tasted good. it's pretty much a standard nothing fancy across the board no regional favorites or anything like that at this time. but I'm starting to get used to seeing many people not following the CDC rules but apparently the Missouri governor doesn't wear one and they're certain counties where I guess they don't really enforce it and this apparently down here by Mount Vernon is definitely one. I know St Louis and Kansas City definitely do. other than that just to pretty much average Subway nothing really stood out whatsoever other than the fact that don't ask for being warned and half of the fountain drinks were gone. including diet Coke but they had bottles for sale but I didn't feel like paying twice the amount as the store.
