This place is more of a greasy spoon diner than a typical chain restaurant, but it operates kind of like a chain, at least menu-wise. The staff were having conversations that weren't really appropriate for the patrons to hear. Our waitress didn't seem like she wanted to work or maybe she was annoyed that they seated us with her, idk. Refills took forever, so that was also frustrating. The bathroom left something to be desired- it was small and not the cleanest. The food was typical diner food, nothing to write home about. Hey Yelpers! Came in here on a Monday evening. The restaurant was surprisingly empty, and it shouldn't be! I had the roast beef dinner and my mom had the bacon cheeseburger. The burger fries looked amazing and my mom raved about them. I LOVED my roast beef. I haven't had it in a while and have never ordered it in a restaurant. I'm glad I did. The meat was nice and tender, the gravy savory and luscious. I would order it again in a heartbeat. They had lots of dessert offerings but we were too full to try any of them. We had tried breakfast and supper so we decided to give lunch a try as well, so Thursday afternoon when we had gotten off work we decided to see if lunch was as good as the other times much to our pleasure it had been really good all 3 times. We are pleasantly surprised and more than pleased!! We split an order of onion rings, my husband thought they would be a single-size but much to our surprise it was enough to feed 3 or 4 of us once our lunch had arrived. You truly do get your money's worth. For lunch, I tried the Chicken BLT on a Bun with French Fries and Coffee, you have the option of grilled or fried chicken I chose the grilled and it was so very good it was very juicy and very tender, it fell apart every time I bit into it was soon very good and the fries were soon crispy I am too picky and these were done perfectly. My husband tried the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich and he really liked it, he said the flavor was dead on he didn't have to add any seasonings to it shocked me he adds salt and pepper to EVERYTHING!! He asked for extra pickles and ate all of them he said their pickles were extremely good and definitely filly he said I should try them next time we go he also had the French Fries and liked them as much as I did. I am assuming that most people were from out of town like we were or just did not have family to spend the day with. There were people of all ages in there this day. Mostly older folks, but there were a few families with children. We were seated and greated promptly. Our waitress was a little rough around the edges, however she was nice. Our food came out in a timely manner due to how busy the place was. We never ran out of beverages and the place was turning tables quickly. THe food however was less than mediocre. My salad was ok but nothing I would go back for, the omelet breakfast that my boyfriend got was greasy and not appetizing he said. The food filled us up good enough for the day, however we will not be going back to this establishment. Seems like this would be a place for people to go after the bar. The patrons are also wearing their mask, most until their food gets to them. We were quickly seated, it took a while for the server to come to the table. But, I think she's either by herself or she's one of two. I couldn't tell. Food: I had the patty melt. It was pretty good. My only gripe would be there was way too much butter on the rye toast. Came in for breakfast, right off the bat witnessed the manager/host(John) berating one of the servers. The words "get out of my fu***** fave and go do something" were used. Wife ordered an orange juice when the host took our drink orders and never received it. I also witnessed the host lift the tip from several tables, and pocket it. Not sure what the policy is here, but only servers should handle cash tips. Now to the food, even less impressive if that can be believed. I ordered the West coast Benedict, once again the eggs were cooked hard not poached, 2 slivers of avacado, and wimpy bacon. The hash browns were decent (hard to screw up fried potatoes) the hollandaise was surprisingly excellent, and the cinnamon toast was also great. Needless to say we will never go back, and I urge everyone else to avoid this hostile environment. This time and the last two times, while waiting to be seated the waitress with short black hair says "I will be right back to seat you" and never came back. The door was unlocked at about 7:47 by a manager that was in a mood. After seating ourselves, we ordered drinks and the waited to receive menus.
