The first call i was on hold for 1 hour to be told to call back the next day so they can give me a definitive time and day they would be delivering although on the tracking website it says it was supposed to be delivered on January 25th Monday. Now i am sitting back on hold again, Home depot customer service sucks too they just pass you on to hold and you end up with two companies doing nothing. The absolute worst. Seriously. If you order something from anywhere, make sure you ask what company they use to ship their items. If they say Estes, cancel your order. You either will wait 3 weeks to get it, not get it at all, or when it does finally show up have it looking like It's been tossed all over the place and damaged. Customer service is slow and EXTREMELY rude. This company does not care. They have the attitude/excuse that they "aren't fed ex or ups so don't expect us to Operate like that." So I'm a 54 year old woman - not a weight lifter. Delivery guy dumps a pallet with heavy glass shower doors on my sidewalk and leaves me and it there, refusing to bring the doors inside a ground floor walk-in. Covered 2/3 of my sidewalk where people walk by all the time. Pointless to leave a review since I see their previous 1 star reviews haven't changed. They just delivered (well I cant even say delivered because I had to actually to the truck and get the package) a very large package to our company and the driver stated he wasn't allowed to bring the package in the building which we are in a very large building with many different companies. Had to go all the way to the parking lot which is not close to pull the package out of the truck myself. The moving company did a fine job.Estes on the other hand has an abysmal tracking system.They had 2 phone numbers an email address and i signed up for shipment status updates ,...and all i got was an email saying that it had shipped and an email saying it was delivered a day after the actual delivery. At one point between home depot and Estes "tracking' it had my order in 2 different places and i never had a clear idea when it would be delivered. I will never use Estes for shipping anything again. My one experience shipping a small refrigerator was a disaster. The delivery was over a week late. And the price quoted was not honored without a series of two hour phone call battles. I probably spent six hours total on the phone solving the pricing change and locating the missing delivery. They lost my wood flooring. They've left for the weekend while I figure out what, when and how my residence's bare cement floors will be covered. I ordered 1200 square feet of wood flooring from Home Depot. When the flooring was shipped, the delivery was scheduled for 6/28/18, so I notified our contractors, and they scheduled installation for 6/30/18. I understand now, that move was premature. I called Estes on the morning of 6/28/18, because the flooring shipment tracking showed the flooring was in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, though not at the Fort Worth hub. A very nice representative at Fort Worth said the shipment would likely arrive overnight, and I could call the next morning to arrange a delivery for that same day. In the morning, still no Ft. Worth terminal arrival.The shipment went from Dallas to Irving, instead of Fort Worth. I was informed that even if the shipment made it to Ft. Worth today, the company schedules 48 hours or more out once they have the item. These locations are 15-30 minutes apart. Mike, the terminal manager said he'd call the Irving terminal to locate the shipment and see if they could get it to Ft. Worth. At about noon, tracking showed the item had arrived at the FW terminal. Yay, Mike. After checking to make sure the item could be off-loaded, Mike said my contractor could come pick it up in 1-2 hours. Our contractor went for pick up, but Estes couldn't find the flooring, so our contractor left empty-handed. When I spoke with Mike at about 4:00pm, he said they were trying to find the shipment. Maybe it was in Irving, he'd call back to update me on the status. I waited until just before closing at 6 to call back, but Mike had left for the weekend. Nice. I partially blame Home Depot for misleading, unclear shipping/tracking information, which led me to schedule installation. I've been spoiled by Amazon and other shipping companies (such as Pilot) who have proven themselves reliable and accountable. Estes Express, however, showed a lack of efficiency, competency and customer service. All day, there were promises of calls back, which did not happen. I should have heeded the doubts of the one Fort Worth terminal representative who said, "this is why we never schedule delivery appointments until we have the item(s)." Duly noted. It's not the end of the world, but I think the attitude is pretty much status quo for this company. Their own expectations of their ability to effectively deliver shipments is, understandably, pretty low. read more

Two days later... Someone from Estes did email me, to tell me my delivery would be today. I already knew it would be today; I'd arranged it myself with Portland Air Freight, the last-mile carrier, 8 hours earlier. Nonetheless, I give Estes credit for following up. Portland Air Freight promised a phone call one hour before delivery. Guess what? The driver didn't call until he arrived at my house, then wanted to know why I wasn't there. And he got my name wrong. He and his assistant may or may not have had a combined IQ exceeding 180 (I'm doubtful), and may or may not have been stoned (I'm agnostic). What I do know is that it said right on the delivery slip "CALL AHEAD", or words to that effect. For what it's worth, they showed up in a rented truck (Ryder) with out-of-state plates and no "Portland Air Freight" on the side. Not very professional. The original shipper tells me they've had better luck with Estes than with some other carriers -- go figure. Bottom line, I suspect, is that the freight industry has no meaningful concept of customer service--at least when the customer is not another big company. The phone reps are pleasant enough, but their promises are ignored by the rest of the organization. And the drivers, evidently, have no incentive to care about customer satisfaction -- or customer inconvenience. read more

Not sure why this business gets so much work... Looking at other reviews, what is happening to me is not uncommon. I ordered a shed from Home Depot. They shipped it through Estes Express. Their tracking number showed it was just sitting in St. Louis, MO for days (I live in New Mexico). Eventually, I contacted Estes customer support. They said it was redirected incorrectly...and it was in Denver terminal waiting to be departed to New Mexico, and gave me a new expected delivery date with a new PPO tracking number. After they missed ANOTHER expected delivery date, I checked the tracking on their website, and it said their new PPO number doesn't exist. I contacted customer service again. They said, "um..sorry. We lost the freight. We are doing dock searches to find it." In the meantime, I have landscapers just waiting for the shed so they can complete the work...with NO expected delivery time now. I've given Estes until tomorro (06/01/18) to deliver the shed or contact me directly on where my shed is. If the don't, Home Depot says they will reimburse and cancel my order. I've also made it clear I will not buy anything else from Home Depot as long as the use Estes Express as their shipping partner. Hope they drop them soon. Edit: I have added a star for someone finally contacting me on the phone. So now 2 stars. Another star will be added if I recieve the shed tomorrow like the person on the phone said. I can't give it more the 3 stars though for the initial lack of communication and the two missed expected delivery dates which cost me money with my landscapers. read more

Multiple Home Depot deliveries through Estes have gone missing, are majorly delayed with no updates, get dumped at the house with no warning etc. (including a giant stack of kitchen cabinets found stacked against my garage!) Their latest FUBAR: They were 4 days late delivering 2 pallets of flooring, and then only delivered a third of it. I opened a ticket online with them the same day regarding the remainder of the shipment, and 8 days later have yet to hear a thing. Following up with this through HD has been a total nightmare as well, with multiple supervisors not bothering to call me back or follow up in any way, and one rude representative telling me to call the supplier instead of HD. What? YOU are the supplier, genius, because I paid your company. Two crap companies that truly deserve one another. Time to take my business elsewhere... read more

DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT do business with this company. My experience has been a nightmare odyssey. Upon my delivery arrving to their terminal, they informed me that it would be delivered the next day. After waiting the next day, i followed up, they told me that they tried to deliver it but nobody was home (lie number 1, my entire family was home this was durind COVID). Two days later they promised the package would arrive the next day. It never did. Following up the next day, they told me a truck broke down and was not able to deliver the item (no phne or notification provided). They promised another day, when it didnot arrive, the following morning i called, i was asked can a 26' truck drive in your subdivision? Of couse it can. Another promise was made for for delivery the next day, nothing arrived. I called again, they then told me that they were not able to find my delivery ( this was custom made tub copper tub). "Not able to find it? What the F do you mean?" They search their warehouse for three days and finally called me to say it just cant be found perhaps I could call the credit card company to file a claim. How on earth does a $1700 tub go missing! There were no credible answers. Yes, my credit card company is doing an investigation. Yes, I will have to have another tub made! Yes, it wil take an additional 4 weeks. This was my experience. I am beyond angry and disappointed. Logic would have that they have been kying all along and logic would have that the tub did not grow legs and tuck itsself in the warehouse somewhere. When we went back to schedule the pick up, due to Babies R Us filing for bankruptcy they will not deliver even though we have been billed over $800.00 for a piece of furniture we ordered including the shipping costs. They were scheduled to deliver mulch for us from Home Depot between 6:00am and 8:00pm. Product never arrived. Checked order and said they attempted to deliver even though they did not attempt since we were home all day. You'd think they'd call us with a status if they couldn't deliver and why instead of just not notifying us at all. Home Depot said they have no control over delivery logistics. If you can't deliver it Estes call the customer and let them know with an update. We canceled our order and went elsewhere. I have used this company many times and never had a problem.....somehow right now they have lost my shippment. They said it was not on the truck but I spoke to the origin facility and they reviewed the cameras and assured me it was loaded on the truck. I understand that things are a little chaotic due to do the corona virus and I'm sure they are short handed etc...but at the same time I am a small business owner and will probably loose this commercial account if these products are not located. I received a shipment last year that was damaged. The shipping company told me to inspect the property if the packaging shows any damage. The driver refused to let me open the box until I signed the B.O.L. I wrote on the paperwork there was damage to the Boxes. I spent about three weeks trying to get this resolved because of the damage that Estes did. Then today I get another delivery from Estes and of course there's damage on the box, on the top and on the end. So I open the top and there is a few scuff marks on it, which I would've been fine with keeping. Then I pointed out that the end of the box looked like it had been dropped because the end of it was crinkled up. The driver then goes to the truck, then I proceeded to cut the box open where it was crinkled at the end. And at the end of the treadmill was a big crack in the plastic base from where it had been dropped, or ran into. I then went to the truck to tell the driver it was damaged and it needs to go back. And I asked him to have somebody in charge to please call me. Then as we walked back up to the house, and told me to box it up and he would take it back. I then replied do you want to see where it is damaged? Then as I finish walking back to the treadmill and step over it and open the box for him to look at it I hear the delivery truck taking off out of my driveway. I was quite shocked!!! I then called the terminal in Marshall Michigan and spoke with a manager named Tim. And I told them they had a half hour to come pick it back up because the driver did not even inform the company that he was leaving my house. Then I called another number at Estes, and after approximately a 15 minute hold my call was answered and I explained what had happened. I said to the girl, you guys get paid to do your job who is going to pay me for the time I've got invested in this? I asked, isn't my time valuable? And her reply to me was, unfortunately it's not. Then I asked speak to her boss. I asked her that obviously the box got damaged from Estes. And her reply to me was, you don't know that for sure it could've been from the company. My reply to her then was, if it was damaged By the company why would you pick the product up and ship it? And can you imagine their review would only be a half a star if you did not have to give them at least one star. read more

Estes Express damaged a shipment, then tried to hide it by repalletizing the cargo, then refused to pay for it. On top of that, when they repalletized the cargo, they reclassified the cargo, and charged double! Do not use them for home or personal use unless you have no regard for your cargo. Arrived promptly to Philadelphia four days later. Sat at their terminal for three days. Called to see what the issue was and was told it was being transferred to their "residential delivery department" and I would be contacted. Was finally contacted and my scheduled delivery would be between 9am and 5pm. I asked could I get a better idea when it might be there so I can make arrangements to leave my job. She said no, and that that the driver would contact me one hour prior. As expected no prior notice, driver called from my house asking where I was. Scrambled to leave work and meet driver at my house. Strange truck in front of house. Not Estes, some other company. Find out that this so called "residential delivery service" is not even Estes! They outsource to another company. They don't want you to know this. In fact the company that I purchased it from did not even know. Driver just stood there and watched as this 61 year old man struggled to drag this 100lb kayak off his truck. Did not even offer to help! Half way out the truck I happen to see that all the cardboard is gone and that most of the shrinkwrap is torn to shreds. Upon closer inspection, found forklift marks one side, numerous gouges and scrapes. One side was even dented like they were running into it with the forklift. This company could care less about customer service! It is a shame that companies that use Estes are getting bad reviews and its not even their fault. The company is making good and sending another kayak out with another shipping company and they told me they are in the process of dropping Estes and going with someone else because 90% of their phone calls are from damaged items. Worst Service ever. Ordered from Build.com 23 pieces. First piece came from USPS 2 days later. other 22 not so much. They used Estes. I got an immediate "shipped" notification. Almost a week later I got a tracking # saying the shipment was in their Delaware warehouse (I am in eastern PA, half hour away. 5 days later I called and got a 4 phone call, 3 person runaround that ended in a lot of "not my fault". I purchased a 60 inch vanity from Lowes online and evidently they have a contract with Estes in Orlando to handle deliveries. In purchasing the vanity from Lowes, there was never any indication that the item would be dropped off curbside with no notification to me as to when that would happen (day/time). Today, I received a text message and e-mail indicating that the vanity had been delivered. No door bell ring. No knock on the door to let me know. So, I walk out of my house and there is a 60 inch vanity with quartz top and mirror bundled up on a pallet sitting on my driveway. Had the Estes driver at least rang my doorbell so I could open my garage for the vanity to be placed inside, it would have been basic customer service. As for COVID, I didn't have to be anywhere near the delivery guys for them to place the vanity inside the garage, so that's a poor excuse. After several calls to Lowes and to Estes, the excuse (from Estes) was that Estes' agreement with Lowes (due to COVID) was that there wasn't any customer notification required and that they were not obligated to arrange anything prior to delivery. Wow. Now I see why the rating for Estes is so low. Their idea of customer service is that there shouldn't be any. What a concept. So, I'm left with a large $2,000 item sitting in my driveway with no way for me to move it inside. Surprisingly enough, I don't own a forklift. Shame on Lowes for contracting with Estes. Shame on Estes for being such jerks. I hope it doesn't rain. I hope no one vandalizes the package until I can figure out what to do. I guess Lowes is willing to take that risk. read more
