Well, u get what u pay for I guess. This salon not only doesn't care if they can cut, they also…read moredon't care about their customers. Went in for an inverted bob, and the girl tried and tried, blow dried my hair curly to try to hide the bad cut. I had her straighten my hair then asked her twice to fix it and she kept trying. Eventually asking a more senior stylist to show her how to do the cut. By then they had already closed and was told to give it a night and call them the next day if I still wasn't happy. Of course, I got sick that night with bronchitis and eventually spent 2 weeks in the hospital and have only been back in the world a week and half. Today I straightened my hair for first time since getting sick, and ugh. It's still bad. Called them. They gave me a date for today to come in and fix it, then called to cancel cause the stylists didn't feel comfortable doing a redo cut. They asked me to come tomorrow. I am working this weekend and told them I'm off Tuesday. To which they said "not sure what you want us to do" smh. I then asked the owner, Tell, to call me. He wasn't much help either. Basically saying, tough luck you got sick and now time has lapsed so we can't fix it. Incredibly disheartening that a business owner would be so hard up for money vs taking into account that someone was really ill and was in no position to be calling hair salons or even going in! So much more criteria I could give about this business and their unprofessionality. I will post a pic of what I asked for vs what I got. The pic of what I got was taken that same day when I got in my car.

My regular hair stylist lives in NJ and comes to PA one weekend a month to do hair. Unfortunately…read moreduring the summer months I'm away on the weekends. My niece recommended this salon that my deceased sister (her mother) always used. I'm giving two stars out of respect for my sister who I truely loved and miss so much. Also on the upside the staff was friendly. But here's the thing... when I called them and asked for a price on a hair cut, I spoke to Cheryl. She said it would be $24 and that Beverly had a 1:30 appointment available. When I arrived I was greeted in a friendly manner and escorted to the wash station where Beverly proceeded to wash my hair. She asked me about my cut.. what I wanted done. I told her I wanted it trimmed.. not too much taken off, angled around my face, some long layers and a long side swept bang. I took off my glasses so that she could do my cut but was then unable to see what she wants doing. I said numorous times to her "your not cutting too much off are you" and she responded by telling me "No". She also suggested that I should color my hair because it would make me look younger. I was quite upset when I put my glasses back on and saw what she'd done. She did NOT angle around my face. I had longish bangs but definitely not a long side swept bag. And I've not worn my hair this short since I was a young child! When I told her it was way too short she explained that she cut off as much as she did because I had so much damage from years of coloring my hair. She then proceeded to pick up pieces of my hair from the floor and stretching them untill they broke to demonstrate to me just how brittle they were. Then she blow dried my hair, all the while telling me how much younger this made me look.. Well what was I to do? Can't exactly put the hair back in my head after it's been cut off. I followed her to the register and she said "that will be $36". I said "when I called I was told $24". She responded by telling me that that was the price for the cut but there was a charge for the wash and blow out (neither of which I requested). She said she thought my hair looked like it need to be washed (I'd washed it the previous day) and she thought I might like to see how it looked styled. She added that they usually charge more when they have to cut off more but she didn't charge me extra for that.. REALLY??!!! I left and cried the whole way home. I sent a message to the girl who usually cuts my hair and she asked me to send her a picture. I did and she responded by saying "wow.. your going to need a recut because it's so uneven!" I have my oldest son's wedding renewal next week and my youngest son's wedding next month. I'd planned on wearing my hair up but now its far too short. If I try to pull it back with an elastic band it doesn't stay in because it's that short! I've considered extentions but understand that's quite expensive, Bottom line is if you want to go somewhere where they'll not only listen but do what you as I this is NOT the place. Oh ..and last summer when I again couldn't catch up with my regular stylist I went once to Great Clips in Parksburg, PA and once to Pulse Beauty Academy (where students practice on your hair).. and both times got much better cuts.

My review is based on the employees since their description says new management is keeping the same stylists. This is the kind of place where everybody knows not only your name, but your family members' names and any important life events going on with you. They take such good care of their clients and care so much about you not only being happy with your hair, but also in your life. They are very sincere in that respect. My hair stylist, Rita, has celebrated graduations and my wedding with me and has been a shoulder of support when things weren't so great. I had some issues with how the past management ran the place and as far as ambiance, I didn't love how it looked a little dated and under cared for. I'm excited to see what the new owners do with the salon!

I had a great Drybar experience here. I had some trouble booking online, but was able to easily…read morebook through text. I was taken care of immediately and my appointment was way faster than I expected it to be. I absolutely love how my hair came out. I asked for the Straight Up for a wedding because it was a really windy day and my hair doesn't hold curls well on a normal day, so I thought trying anything else would be pointless. My stylist did more of a Mai Tai instead which I was a little worried about but it came out amazing and I was shocked that it lasted all day long. She did an amazing job and I will definitely come back for any weddings/special events.

Absolutely terrible experience from start to finish. The first red flag was the communication. This location rarely answers the phone and instead asks customers to text. Even then, responses often took a long time. I booked my appointment a month in advance for my courthouse wedding. I initially scheduled a blowout but later changed it to an updo ("Uptini") and made it clear this was for my wedding. I also asked whether I should wash my hair beforehand or if they would do it during my appointment. I was instructed to arrive with second-day hair, so I followed those directions. The morning of my wedding, my appointment was at 8:00 a.m. I arrived a few minutes early and walked into an empty salon. I waited several minutes before anyone acknowledged me. Around the same time, I received a text saying my stylist was running late because of traffic. Life happens, so I wasn't upset about that. When my stylist arrived, there was no greeting or introduction. She simply said, "Follow me." At the shampoo area, I explained I was there for an updo and had been instructed to come with second-day hair. She quietly replied, "I wish they had told me that." So we headed back out without a wash. She then asked to see my inspiration photo and immediately turned to another stylist asking, "How would you do this?" That was the moment I lost confidence. After booking a month in advance for my wedding, I couldn't understand why I had been assigned someone who either didn't have the experience in updoes or had not been familiar with the service. It became obvious the stylist didn't know what she was doing. Throughout the appointment, she barely spoke to me. I never even learned her name because she never introduced herself. Once the other stylist finished with her client, she stepped in to try and help. She was warm, congratulated me on my wedding, and genuinely tried to guide the appointment. When I finally saw the back of my hair, I was devastated. It looked nothing like the inspiration photo that had been sitting in front of my stylist the entire appointment. The style was flat, lacked texture and volume at the crown, and looked like little more than curled hair pinned into a ponytail. Very little product appeared to be used, and there was no way to achieve the airy, textured look I had requested without starting over. The second stylist did her best to improve it, but there was only so much she could do. Eventually, I accepted that it wasn't going to become the hairstyle I had envisioned. I paid, left, and tried not to let it ruin my wedding day. I've been to several Drybar locations in California and understand they are independently owned franchises, but I still expect the professionalism and quality associated with the Drybar brand. Unfortunately, this location fell far short of those expectations. Paying $109 for this updo was incredibly disappointing. I still left a tip, but not because I was satisfied with the service. I tipped because the second stylist took time out of her schedule to genuinely try to salvage a situation she didn't create, and I appreciated her effort. By that point, I also didn't have the energy to keep discussing what was clearly wrong with my hair--I simply wanted to leave. The final result looked nothing like what I requested, and I honestly believe I could have achieved a better outcome myself. On such an important day, that was heartbreaking. If you're looking for an updo, I would strongly recommend choosing a salon that specializes in formal hairstyling. Based on my experience, I would not trust this location with an updo, especially for a wedding or other special occasion. I've included photos so others can judge the results for themselves. The last photo is the inspiration picture that sat on the table throughout the appointment.
