Delicious food, generous portions and very kind staff. The food is well seasoned and good quality with fresh ingredients. We will be back!

My family and I arrived in town late on a Friday night and we were hungry. A lot of restaurants near where we were staying were already closed or getting ready to close. We decided to give this place a try and I'm glad we did! This is definitely a "hole-in-the-wall" and not a polished tourist destination. It's a restaurant and a grocery store. You order in the grocery store. The menu on the wall is in Spanish, but they have English language menus available by the cash register. For an hour or so before they closed, I was surprised how many people were here. Not so crowded that we had to wait, though. The dining area is clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. The food was delicious! We were brought some chips and fresh salsa once we sat down and with the exception of my favorite local Mexican restaurant, this is one of the best salsas I've ever had. My meal came pretty quickly. It was called Pollo Fiesta, which was chicken, queso, and rice. Lots of rice and queso, and good amount of chicken. By the time I was done with everything, I was very full. As others have mentioned, no cerveza, and the drinks are by the bottle. Since they're also a grocery store, they have a lot of options for drinks. Since it was late, I just went with bottled water. Would I eat here again? Absolutely! If you love good authentic Mexican food, you need to try it.

This place is a diamond in the rough! We didn't want to fight the crowds at any of the tourist traps in town and had seen this place a few times on the drive to our cabin so we stopped in. The service was great and friendly. We all got tacos and they were so freakin delicious! I also got a chicken quesadilla that was very good. But the star of the show was definitely the chorizo tacos. They're all served Mexican style: on corn tortillas with onion and cilantro. There's also a Latino supermarket with lots of snacks and supplies. I really loved this place and the people who run it.

Food was really good! Service was good as well. Our food came out super quick, and everything tasted very fresh.

Tacos good. Rice and beans bad.

Really wanted to love this place. We chose to support this adorable hole-in-the-wall Hondumex restaurant, as opposed to the usual, crowded places that cater to tourists. I thought we'd get some authentic, delicious food here. They don't serve alcohol. We were hoping for margaritas but that's okay! I ordered the Honduran steak tacos, and they were pretty dang good. The rice, however, was tasteless, and the beans tasted like black olives and were thin, with big chunks of non-bean objects, and I simply could not eat them. My friend got the "fried chicken", which was really just baked chicken in a sweet sauce, served with plantain chips. The place may be authentic, but the food is bland and unpleasant at times. I liked the tacos, and I plan to recreate the steak/avocado/crema/onion combination at home soon. I asked my friends if they thought they'd want to eat here again on our next visit, or if they'd be willing to recommend this place to someone else, and the overall resounding answer was no.

We stumbled upon a hidden treasure here. This place is a 2 in 1! It has a restaurant and a grocery store. We picked up two meals and they were very tasty and fresh &some snacks like the Takis. The staff was friendly and fast. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area to try this place out! You won't regret it. They also have both Honduran and Mexican food. You can taste the different spices used between the two types of dishes.

Sope and gordita, Honduran tamales, and another gordita.

This was such a great little stop! We had gorditas, sopes, and Honduran style tamales. They were amazing. The waiter was very kind and stopped by to ask if we needed anything and shared the homemade salsas with us too. Everything was delicious. Do not be scared to go learn about Honduran style food and enjoy the fresh meats with the simple, delicious toppings!!!

So the building is very humble, but some of the dishes are absolutely amazing and authentic. This is a small Honduran-Mexican menu restaurant (literally a Honduran page and a Mexican page) with a small tienda at the end of Gatlinburg downtown with free parking out front. Of the meals we got, the Beef Soup and the Azada Honduran style were out of this world and worthy of five of five stars. The building is well worn and in need of some renovation, so come for the food and nice servers.

Steak burrito... but mainly beans and rice.

Disappointed with the steak burrito... not worth the price. Burrito was mainly rice and beans. Ended up being a tourist trap... I guess....

Sooo.... this place was highly rated and we had just finished hiking. What we wanted was Mexican Food and beer... sadly they had no beer. You have to order at counter and they have a Menu posted on wall and then a menu for gringos! We were the only ones speaking English but everyone was very pleasant and certainly understood us. Food was very good. I got beef and chicken fajitas and sandy Got Juevos. All in all an excellent place and it is part of a small grocery. There was a Hispanic Christian revival on the TV. Working pool table. Would be 5 stars but for the lack of Cerveza.

While in Gatlinburg stumbled upon this hidden gem. Went in looking for a taco and got more than I expected. This hole in the wall was a mini mart with authentic Central America goodies and a local restaurant. This place had a mixture of Honduran and Mexican food, a family owned restaurant with Central America ties makes this a great combination for great food. When in Gatlinburg and looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the town head over to Roaring fork road for some authentic Tacos or Baleadas.

At first I was confused about the dining room. However, this food was excellent! They served a group of 35 people and everyone was happy.

Other restaurants had an extremely long wait time, but we were seated very promptly without any reservations. We began with the Jose's Fiesta Sampler, which had a great variety and was perfect for two. For entree, we shared the Sizzling Fajitas Supremas. It came with Steak, Chicken and Shrimp. I've ordered fajitas at many restaurants, but here it's served with a separate dish containing a large variety of sides. There were tortillas, onions and peppers, pico de gallo, sour cream, cheese, and rice and beans. And we had plenty of steak, chicken and shrimp to go around for two people. I also had two of their drinks, the Tropical Breeze and the Rum Runner and both were excellent!

We had a party of seven in order a variety of dishes I had the enchiladas and tostada combo number 10. The tostada was set on top of the enchiladas and the sauce from the enchiladas cut the tostadas soggy. The enchiladas were extremely dry on the inside. Other members, my party said that there food was just average for a Mexican place. The first thing we noticed is that the salsa was very watery and lacked a lot of flavor. In my opinion, if you're in a tourist area, you need to have good food because they have so many other options to go to. The restaurant atmosphere was clean and welcoming.
