I think this is by far one of the worst experiences I've had at a hair salon ever. So I show up and…read morethe owner to this place gives me attitude because I'm not speaking Spanish. I proceed to tell her I want a color correction and she quotes me a high price, but me in desperate need at the time, sits in her chair. She unhappily begins to work on me, she's aggressive with the tools, and as she's putting hair dye on my head with a brush the dye is flying everywhere! Everywhere! She doesn't even care that it's getting all over the place, she's just more irritated at the fact that she has to work on me. I was extremely nice to her from the beginning until the end so I'm not understanding the behavior. I know it's because I'm not speaking Spanish! That is so discriminatory.
So as the hair is on my head, my scalp starts burning. It is literally on fire. I last about 10 minutes and tell her and she gets angry and says it's not her supplies, she buys good quality and expensive stuff. (Well after speaking to another hairdresser they told me the developer volume this lady used on me was too high.)
So the salon owner washes the dye off my hair. It's looking orange now. I ask if she could put dye/toner or something to make it look better and she says no because I already had a reaction to her products. So she basically kicks me out and still charges money. Which I regret paying! I had orange spotted hair now that somebody else had to fix.
One of her customers was super nice to me the entire time. I think she felt bad for me. But where was the kindness and hospitality of this salon owner? Non existent. So in short, no I don't recommend this place. I plan to report this incident to BBB, as it was incredibly unsafe too. Hair dye could have gotten in my eyes.
