Easy to find as the signs in the Queen's terminal are large and everywhere (good job sign posting, unlike terminal 5). The rooms are a bit dated and not laid out intuitively. The safe is in the night stand and when open it bumps against the bed. The faucet in the bathroom sink has little clearance from the basin and thus water gets everywhere when washing your hand/face. The shower head sprays water and with a glass wall (vs shower curtain) gets outside the tub and the tile gets wet. These little design wonkiness is what makes it a 4 (vs 5). This place is popular with large groups. The restaurant is solid - fantastic greek salad and the grilled salmon perfect. The runway rooftop bar is also a must do (you can get non alcoholic drinks). So mesmerizing and relaxing to watch the planes. A solid place for a quick fly in/out of LHR

Despite being basically on the tarmac, I was not bothered by the noises of airplanes and enjoyed a super comfy bed. The staff is accommodating and you have two different restaurants to choose from. An added bonus was the rooftop bar where you could watch airplanes coming in or leaving. I'd definitely stay here again. The bathrooms and rooms were clean. The AC actually keeps you cool too.

As a Hilton Diamond member who spends a significant amount of time in hotels, I was very…read moredisappointed with this stay. We arrived late, around 9:30 PM, after leaving a hotel in downtown London, specifically because of its proximity to the airport. We left early the next morning, so our expectations were pretty simple: a comfortable night's sleep and a smooth trip to the airport. Regrettably, neither happened. The bed was in terrible condition. It was so worn out and broken down that we felt like we were rolling toward the edge during the night. A good bed is the most basic expectation of any hotel stay, and this one fell well short. The bathroom design was also less than ideal. The shower had only a half-glass door, so you had to be very careful not to get water all over the bathroom floor. The airport shuttle situation was equally frustrating. The hotel advertises an airport shuttle, which led us to believe it was a complimentary hotel service. We only discovered at the front desk that there was a fee and that it was actually operated by a third-party company rather than the hotel itself. The next morning, the shuttle arrived already crowded, and not everyone waiting was able to get on. In fact, some guests had been waiting since the previous shuttle because they had been left behind as well. Rather than risk missing our flight, we took a taxi to the airport. Judging by the number of taxis waiting at the hotel when the shuttle arrived, this seems to be a common occurrence. To be fair, the staff was polite and professional throughout our stay. The breakfast also looked very good and would have been complimentary for us as Diamond members. We chose not to eat there because we wanted to get to the airport early and planned to have breakfast in the airline lounge instead. Overall, this was not the experience we expected from a Hilton property. Between the poor condition of the bed, the awkward bathroom design, and the unreliable airport transportation, we would not stay here again. In hindsight, we should have booked one of the airport hotels directly connected to the terminal.

There's an extremely loud party with a DJ and sound system that the front desk promised would be over by 10:00pm. I have a 10 hour international flight to catch in the morning. At 10:10 the music is still blasting and I call the desk again. He promises now that it'll be over by 10:30 and is very rude to me. Then changes his mind and says it won't be over at 10:30 that I should move rooms. I explained that packing up after being woke and moving to another room isn't going to make the music any quieter. He then says he'll offer me free breakfast not noticing that I've already pre paid for breakfast. He also says I can take it up with management tomorrow if I don't like it. Knowing I'm leaving tomorrow. This place is terrible!

I've known these Motels to be dingy and nothing more than mediocre. This was neither. Upon checkin, the receptionist was very cordial and fairly quick to complete the process (probably could've been a bit faster). She was very polite though, so I didn't mind the lack of urgency. The lobby was very clean, with a bar/pool table to the left with some patrons watching "football" (better known as soccer) on TV. The elevators, hallways and all seemed very new. Walking into the room immediately put me at ease with my decision to stay at a Best Western. The initial decision was based purely on the fact that this hotel is very close to Heathrow Airport, but the quality of the room added to it. The furniture and lights were very chic and modern, something no Best Western hotel seems to be familiar with. The beds were also very comfortable, with down comforters and pillow-top mattresses. Other than the inconvenience of location (about 10 minute walk to nearest underground station), I wouldn't mind staying here again.

Sunny was not there on our arrival, but we were warmly greeted by Vishal, who was great in explaining the hotel amenities and the neighborhood options to us. He also carried my luggage upstairs. Our breakfast was prepared for us personally at the time we wanted to eat, so we were able to get on our way each day. There was a menu of options which included a full English breakfast. There were cold choices of pastries, yogurts, fruits, cereals, and milk. Beverages included orange juice, milk, tea, and coffee. Shan, Vishal and Josh tended to all our needs over the weekend we spent there. We traveled by tube, and as Sunny recommended, we both bought Oyster passes which discounted our travels. At the end of our trip we were able to have the remaining balance on our cards refunded at Heathrow. The walk from the tube is short. You leave the tube station and go left. You will cross a little side street and the Crompton Guest House will be the second walkway. It would be a great spot for a business traveler who needs to get out on an early morning flight as Heathrow is only 15 minutes or so on the tube. If you have rented a car or if you live in England and are flying out from Heathrow, it could not be more convenient than to spend a night before traveling as they offer free parking for a specified number of days. We used the tube to go to the airport but they do offer transportation. As we did not use it, I cannot remember what the fee is. Our room had a twin and a double bed, both with reading lights, and both very comfortable. We both slept well and found the room to be very quiet. There were two night tables, a desk and chair, a flat screen tv, and a small refrigerator. There were plenty of mirrors in the room and chandeliers throughout the guest house. The bathroom had a tub/shower combination. Large dispenser bottles of hand soap and lotion were by the sink and in the tub was bath gel, shampoo, and conditioner. Everything is monitored by CCTV and lights have motion detectors so you are never wandering in the darkness. We felt very safe staying there. I would recommend Crompton Guest House to friends and family. It was a nice place to stay. Service was extremely good and the staff were very focused on ensuring that guests had an enjoyable stay.

We booked this hotel at short notice and were surprised at the size of the rooms here - they are a very decent size which being so close to the airport is usually quite hard to find. The rooms are also very clean and nicely laid out with a large computer desk and armchair. Bathroom is a little small but had a bath as well as a shower and a dispenser containing Imperial leather Shower Gel (no Shampoo & Conditioner though). Staff are friendly and it's reasonably priced, especially taking into consideration the location.
