I lost my 18 year old baby girl March 29th. We were in Port o connor when she crossed the rainbow bridge. I didn't have my head straight when we discovered baby girl had passed and chose the first place for cremation on Google, which was a certain animal hospital that when we got there said we would get her back in a month. After a few days my husband and I decided that that was too long and we found eternal waters online, watched the video of the process and liked that it was more environmentally friendly than traditional cremation. And the fact that my baby girl loved swimming in lakes and beaches seemed like this was meant to be. Thank goodness they offer pickup from the other clinic we had her at. That would've been tough for us to do. Lilia was super sweet and understanding even with my weird request of sending me a photo of Lucy to make sure the right dog was picked up. But thank goodness she suggested me sending her a photo of Lucy so she can confirm during the pickup. That made it a lot less painful. She texted me immediately on pick up that it was 100% my baby girl. Told it would take about a week but it ended up being 2 weeks. It was worth it with all of the extra things we got to keep in her memory. I had asked for an impression of her front 2 paws, one of her feet became deformed as she got older, a single paw print, a nose print, and her different colors of fur in a jar which I was really impressed she got all of the colors because I had just groomed my baby before she passed and her fur was short. I will take my future babies and recommend them to people in the future. She was so kind and understanding during one of our hardest losses. Thank you! read more

Horrible experience. I should have known from the beginning how unprofessional and uncaring they were by our first interactions with the owner the night before and her husband the next day. A lot of things happened and a lot to say but most devastating is the fact that our baby (dog) was returned to us with a cats microchip. The cats Mom didn't even know hercat was at this location in Converse since her cat passed in Dallas! This place is a scam with other companies involved. They are unempathetic and uncaring and have refused to answer my questions regarding my babies remains, the cats microchip and everything else all they want to say is do you want a refund or not? and we gave you a refund. The cats mom was offered a drawing to make up for it. Really!!??A refund does not take away the agonizing uncertainty about what happened to our Baby of 18 years that we trusted to them! I am positive all good reviews are fake! They even shutdown their facebook page when I wrote a truthful, bad review. I warn you do not trust this place with your babies! I really didn't want to have to post this, because I don't want to discourage anyone from choosing aquamation for their precious furkids. It's still uncommon and especially in TX, is struggling to be allowed to be more widespread, including as a service for humans. There aren't many choices around and I also understand that Eternal Waters is a very small business. I don't want to hurt them, but I want things to be better for other grieving families. After the experience I had in 2021 as well as a recent experience now in 2023, I feel that my review needs to be posted. I lost my bearded dragon baby of over 10 years this year, and it's tough to find places that will handle exotics in a way that other facilities do more traditional fur babies. The staff of this facility not only took clay prints of his beard, tail and feet but also provided his ID tag that they used throughout the aquamation process, several of his scales, and a seed bomb so that I can plant wildflowers in the spring in remembrance of my baby. It's taken me 2 months to write this, not because I haven't wanted to show my immense gratitude for Karen but because it was another step in acceptance of losing my best friend. It's hard to find the words to express how deeply grateful I am for Karen and what she does. If you have never lost a best fur friend you may not know all of the thoughts, questions, and fears that arise, like me, until one of the most dreadful emotional moments of your life. Where would her body go? Would it be handled with care? How do I know I'm getting her back and not just some random ashes of other pets? Are these questions crazy? All things I suddenly thought of when I decided it was "time". Luckily I had my sister to support me and she began to research. No, so sadly, my questions were not crazy - as much as I wish they were. These are all very important and valid questions when choosing this service. I will leave it at that as the details are too much stomach. That's when my sister found Karen. My sister emailed on my behalf late on New Year's Day. Karen responded within an hour. She was immediately the kindest and most loving soul through text. Meeting her the next day, one of the worst days of my life, she was an angel. I do not say that lightly, in fact, I'm not sure I've ever said that about anyone. I found out later that the very reason she is in this industry is to help people like me and all of the pets we love so dearly be given proper care during their final resting process. Just before contacting Eternal Waters, we received some not so good news about our pup Maggie, and as this was our first time going through the process of cremation, we didn't know much about the process. We wanted to make sure Maggie was in the best hands possible after her passing. We called in, and Karin talked to my husband for a while on the phone, while we were searching for the best place for Maggie. She was very caring, answered a bunch of questions which everyone will have near the end of their companions' journey, and spent time with us as if we had known each other for awhile. Her and her husband Hector, went above and beyond our expectations for how to handle the passing of Maggie, before and after. We choose aquacremation because we felt fire cremation was a little extreme, and by talking to Karin we were educated on the process. This method is much more peaceful, more natural, and it's eco-friendly. We couldn't be happier with our choice. We got Maggie back in a very ornate wood-carved box, some nicely placed hair in wide glass jar that has her hair wrapped around like a rainbow, and a white clay paw print imprint. We also got a letter from them for our loss, some paper hearts that can be grown into flowers, and an official certificate of cremation. This couple really cares for the customer's pet as if they were their own. They spent a long time with us, with great patience, and can't imagine recommending any other place to have a loved companion handled with extreme care, in a natural process. When I found out our 13-year old cat had terminal cancer I called Eternal Waters right away to inquire about the process so I could be prepared for the day our kitty would pass away. I had never heard of aquamation before and was referred to them. After researching them online I called and Karin answered the phone. She spoke with me for a long time (I cried a few times) and she was just so patient, compassionate and empathetic and really helped me with a lot of questions I had and also made me feel at ease. Weeks later the day had come where we had to help him pass and I brought him in that day. We talked with her a while before I finally was able to hand him over to her. It's hard when we lose a part of our family, even the furry ones. When Mofiki our beloved monkey son passed way, I didn't know what to do.
