The staff's and owner/manager janine Cartwright are disrespectful, speak bad of other customers whilst getting my hair done I overheard one stylist say "stupid asian lady" and felt very uncomfortable as I am from that background too. No staff member should show discrimination towards clients and talk very disrespectful towards clients behind their backs. As a customer who's been going regularly Im sick of the language the staff are speaking especially in front of other customers. Hair salons are not just a place to get your hair done but it should also be a place to relax and enjoy your time there, I do not enjoy my time there neither have my friends and sister who have also complained about the staffs poor attitude. I rung up to Cancel my appointment as i was unwell, i wasn't made aware of the cancellation policy when first came to salon, and was told now that i had to pay a deposit. When asked why I received rude attitude from the receptionist called Julie, when I spoke to janine Cartwright who is the manager/owner, her attitude was even worse. No apology and when i told her about the way her staff speaks about customers she said "that's your opinion", it's not my opinion where staff are talking behind customers back saying that stupid asian lady and other things that I feel uncomfortable to write, she didnt solve the matter and when asked her if it's ok for her staff to speak to me like that she again defended them. Me and my family/friends will not be going back to a very disrespectful salon. Staff and manager have no sympathy for clients and no understanding of how to be professional.

I booked an appointment with Nicola for the BCS wax, I have had my back waxed a few times before and really like the feeling of putting a shirt on after. I have never had the C & S done and on the drive over decided against it. When I entered Bare waxes studio we talked and Nicola came across extremely confident in her abilities which made me relax. After filling in some paper work for medical condition Nicola directed me to the waxing room and asked me to take my top off while she left the room. On her return she explained to me how the procedure would take place, telling me she would start on my back then my abbs moving on to my underarm. OK the abs are the most painful but bearable. She then asked me to undress fully again while she left the room (yes she had made me feel very relaxed and I had changed my mind again). OMG when I looked down to my never regions it looked like they had been treated with ice water. So I laid on the bed wishing that I would grow back just a little. I was really nervous about this part of the waxing and it showed! I had read thing on the internet about men getting aroused! Ha ha LOL not in my case and I can't really see anyone being able to while getting waxed! Nicola returned knocking on the door, where she again explained what she was going to do. She removed the towel and asked me to pull my penis to one side and started the wax. The pain was nowhere near as bad as my abs and we talked all the way through the treatment. The best part of Bare wax is Nicola's professional confident personality that put me at ease from start to finish. The full treatment was extremely well executed and I would not hesitate to recommend the BARE WAX STUDIO to anyone. Don't be shy! After 5 minutes it's like being at the barbers. I waited 6 weeks as Nic suggested! I did get a rash locally in some areas but this was minimal compared with other salons I have used and only lasted a week or so and only once the hair started growing back. The hair growth was reduced to much more than expectation. I went on holiday a few days after my 1st treatment and was surprised to see how many men reduced their body hair growth. Most of the boys were with their girlfriends,It was like when you buy a new car hardly see one until you purchased one then they are everywhere! 2nd session with Nic was a little more relaxed on my part but Nic was as ever professional in her approach, leaving me to undress at each stage and knocking to see if i was ready. She explained the hair growth was still random and it would take a few treatments to get them to grow back at the same rate. The treatment was much quicker this time around as the hair was growth was reduced and shorter. The pain on the areas I had been waxed on before was a lot less and we managed to hold a conversation with only the odd ouch. My wife Jade inspected her work muck closer this time and booked an appointment, after her wax. I go to Carly from Femme Fatales, because apart from being professional, she also put me at ease and was great to chat to and actually managed to make this rather painful treatment a little more relaxing. This chick knows her stuff and the results prove it. In fact I so rarely find a beautician I actually like that after Carly moved to Femme Fatales from her previous work place, myself (and other clients) followed her like loyal puppies. Now if that's not convincing enough then just trust me and you won't be disappointed!
