My husband went to drop off our dry cleaning, walked in and said hello. The shop keeper didn't hear…read morehim and then said "you're not from here are you?! In Montana, we say hello." My husband is not from Montana but I am and we have lived in Montana for several years and are raising our family here. She then proceeded to scoff at his cell area code and say disparaging things about where he was from. After the incident, I called and asked to speak to management and she responded "speaking." I told her my husband had just relayed what happened and as a fifth generation Montanan, I know that's not how Montanans act." She said "that's not how it happened and you can come get your sweaters." We went back to pick up our dry cleaning and my husband went in to grab it. Our sweaters were piled up on the floor and she said he can take them and pointed at the pile. She also at that point refused to put her mask on and the pandemic is still at full force. We will never return to Off the Cuff and hope others don't either. It's unfortunate poor service can ruin a small business and that's no what Montana values.

Ali A Worst…read moreexperience EVER! I had a terrible experience with the wedding dress alterations, and to make matters worse, the seamstress was incredibly rude. I had originally requested that fabric be added to the bodice to lighten it up to a whiter color rather than nude. The seamstress and I placed fabric behind to get an idea of the look. In no circumstance did I request for any other look (or for the ribbing to show!), except for trying to lighten the color (which later on I was accused of and told I should have known. This is not my profession!!!!). Never once was I forewarned that ribbing may show or of any negative implications besides it being a bit bulkier with additional fabric added. I explained exactly what I wanted, but when I returned to pick the dress up, it was ruined. Given the extensive experience Annette claims to have, I was extremely appalled that she did not call upon noticing this showing through to see if I was okay with this. WHICH I WAS NOT. The seamstress lacked both professional knowledge and tact. The ribbing was completely visible, causing a striped look that ruined the dress. When I brought it up, the seamstress insisted it was a "me" problem and that it wasn't noticeable. She continued to be defensive and dismissive. I requested time to think and immediately called another seamstress on the way home. All my friends and family said it looked horrible and was completely noticeable. I returned to pick up the dress & once again, the shop owner and her employee were extremely rude, dismissive, and defensive. Upon further review by new seamstress, she pointed out that the alterations were rushed, sloppy, and poorly done-- the hem was uneven, visible puckers where the fabric wasn't sewn or fitted properly, and fabric was left hanging. The stitching was visible and inconsistent, and overall, the quality of the work was just bad. I ended up having to the new seamstress fix the mistake by removing all the fabric sewn in. This was both stressful and frustrating. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for quality alterations, skilled craftsmanship, or a professional, respectful experience. Especially given the egregious prices she charges.

**November 2025: Saturday Afternoon Visit**…read more My mom and I were driving down Main Street and saw a big upscale resale sign. We thought it would be fun to check out so I made a quick turn to head to the parking lot. The store shares the building with a wine shop, but I was really surprised by the selection. Near the front entrance are an assortment of bags and when you walk a little further towards the windows they have a section of bargain pieces! There a $15, $20, and $25 short dress, jackets/outerwear section, and I believe a $10 tops section. The center section of the store had some really great designer pieces, but many were $100+, which is well above my price range for second hand. Nevertheless, if you go to the opposite side of the shop there's a whole section of items that are half off! There's a fun shoe section with some cowboy boots - though they just weren't my size *cries* They have a couple of mirrors around the shop as well as a dressing room, so it's a fun place to play dress up. I did find two jackets as well as a gold belt that I liked on this trip, so it was still a success! Hours Mon-Sat: 10am-6pm Sun: 12pm-5pm Parking: Plentiful Summary: This shop has an upscale boutique vibe to it. Items do tend to be on the pricier side, but I think if you really dig you can find some great gems!

Being from the NYC area, I was blown away by what I found at Recouture Consignment in Bozeman, Montana. Their selection perfectly reflected the local vibe and season--think Pendleton sweaters, Woolrich jackets, high-end ski gear, and other amazing winter finds. On top of that, they had plenty of designer and brand-name pieces at incredible prices. I scored a Marc Jacobs crossbody bag, some great plaid button-downs, a beautiful collection of scarves and shawls, and even some super cool jewelry. We visit the YC and Big Sky every year, and I will absolutely be making Recouture a must-stop again next trip. I can't wait to see what treasures they have waiting next time. You won't be disappointed.
