I am so happy that I found Shelly at Lash and Beauty Lab! I had my volume fill done 8 days ago and have only shed a few fans. My lashes still look absolutely GORGEOUS, as if I just had them done today. Shelly was very meticulous in her work. The price is a bit higher than I paid in Vancouver, but it is worth every penny, because by this point with my last place, I would have shed at least half of my extensions due to less-than-optimal adhesive. Let me preface this by saying that I've worked in the service industry for many years and am as loyal as they get when it comes to supporting local businesses. I aways tip 20-30% and even give christmas presents to the stylists at the hair and nail salons where I regularly go. As a loyal customer of the lash and beauty lab for 7 months, I have referred many of my friends to this business and have grown to really love the lash stylists and receptionist. They are all incredibly sweet, friendly, and fun to talk to during the hour-long appointments. Unfortunately, I recently had an incredibly uncomfortable experience with the owner. For some context, I've always been told by Lace and Danielle that my eyelash retention is amazing (probably because I don't wear any makeup and never use remover). But a couple of months ago, I saw one of their brand new stylists. After the appointment, I remember looking in the mirror in my car and noticing that the lashes were really uneven in length and poorly applied. A few days later, they started to fall out much quicker than usual. I emailed the owner and had an appt scheduled to fix them. I insisted on paying for the fill service because I felt awful about the situation, but the owner didn't want to charge me so I tipped her 100%. After that, I made sure to book with Lace every time since Danielle recently left the salon. Two weeks ago, I thought I had booked with the owner but I had actually booked with a new stylist. I was hesitant and when I got home from my appointment, I noticed that I had three lashes on my cheek. It had only been 15 minutes since they were applied! I booked a 2 week fill right away and when I arrived for the appointment two weeks later, I was told that I would need a new full set. I thought this was strange, but it didn't upset me. Before Lace got started, the owner popped into the room and said that I was "the only one of their clients" that has retention issues and then said 2 or 3 times that I am "taking too much of their time and resources." I told her I didn't mind paying for a full set, if that's what I needed after only 2 weeks. I'm not trying to take advantage of the business by getting more lashes than I pay for! I don't want a free service. Instead of acknowledging this, she responded by telling me that I'm "not a good candidate for eyelash extensions" and that I should consider other options. I couldn't believe how unprofessional this was. If she thought that I had an issue with retention, then she could have said that and given me tips to improve without suggesting that I was trying to take advantage of their "time and resources" and that she's noticed I have retention issues "everytime I come in" (she's only been my stylist once). Bottom line- you don't do that. This is Customer Service 101! I said I would happily pay for whatever I needed and was open to suggestions or alternatives to improve my retention (even though I know that my retention is directly related to the quality of the eyelash application and the skill/experience of the stylist)! I felt so uncomfortable but I reluctantly agreed to have my eyelashes done again. While I was having them done, I overheard a phone conversation between the receptionist a different client who had called to complain about the very same problem. I guess I'm not really the "only one." I will not be spending $200-$300 at this business every month anymore, and I'm telling all of my friends about this awkward (and offensive!) experience with the owner. read more

I decided to give lash extensions a try about 6 months ago. Once I made the decision my next thought was "where do I go" and "how do I know this place or person knows what they're doing?" After much googling and yelping I made the decision to go with Lash and Beauty Lab, specifically Cheri! I like Lash and Beauty Lab because of the great quality and service I receive each and every time, but I also like the vibe and energy inside. Cheri, Jessica and Lace are all down to earth and kind. Every time I go in to get my lashes freshened up Cheri asks me how my lashes were or if I would like to change anything. She's attentive to any questions and truly cares about her clients. When I first had gone in she talked with me before doing anything to find out what I was looking for in terms of volume, length, amount of lashes. The more we talked the more I realized I couldn't go off of other people's pictures and Lash extensions because the way it may come out on my face may not be the same as someone else. I was very appreciative of the conversation because if it were someone who didn't care they might have just gone with a picture and sent me on my way. That's not the quality and service you will get here, you get what you pay for and that is outstanding service and quality. Cheri made sure to explain the lash cycle, proper way to take care of and maintain lashes for their full results. I've never had an issue with my lashes in between refreshes. You do have to take care of your lashes and make sure you do proper maintenance, but only you control that. Anyone who is reading this and is looking for a lash home, stop looking and book with Lash and Beauty Lab. Anyone of the ladies is fantastic and can't go wrong! For those of you that don't live near by, that's okay, I don't either! But I am okay driving out of my way for great quality and service. read more

I've been getting my lashes done here for a couple of years here now and I can't say enough good things about this place and the wonderful women that work here! The lashes are outstanding and people constantly ask me where I get them done, so they can go there too! Cheri is the sweetest woman alive and my hour long appointment is over before I know it because we are chatting away! She is so gentle and does her best to make the whole experience as comfortable as possible! My lashes last long past my 3-week fill date and look incredible every time. Nightmare. Was extremely painfulllll. Would book elsewhere!!! I honestly did not want to write this & but I would want to know. Recently new to the area. This was my third lash technician & seeing as it was with the owner I trusted that I was in good hands. I don't trust anyone with my eyes & here is why, she took 2 snack breaks, I hope she washed her hands! Interrupted my appointment to schedule other appointments on her phone. Didn't wash her hands. Then at the end when it was time to open my eyes, I COULD NOT. They were SEALED SHUT & she had to come unhinge my with tweezers at the corners. Was the sloppiest, dirtiest, most unprofessional eyelash extension appt ever. I had visible fuzzies stuck to the glue in my eyelashes & there were multiple lashes glued together on one extension...... so when they grew out it was excruciating & I had to separate, pull & pluck some out. For the 160 a fill for out of town & lack of professionalism I'd definitely take your money elsewhere. Wasn't worth ruining my lashes. But thanks for trying I guess. Letting them all fall out & start fresh. Would never recommend. Take more pride in what you do please wtf. Find you a perfectionist. read more

I've been going to get my lashes done from Cheri for over a year now and love the experience every time. It's basically become a monthly obsession and painless every time. Surprisingly, my lashes stay pretty full for at least 3-4 weeks. Cheri is super friendly, personable & professional. If you can get an appointment with her, it's worth the wait as she's usually pretty filled up, but the other people who work there are just as great. The space has been newly renovated - it's open yet cozy and feels really nice to be there. Definitely check it out! read more

Oh my goodness. After 2 treatments of micro channeling with Cheri, not only do I notice a difference, but friends do also. My skin is plumper, fresher, clearer. Lines are noticably reduced. I was worried about how long they last due to my travel schedule but they still looked fab after 3 weeks swimming and dancing in Italy! I have since had lashes applied elsewhere after moving away and no service compares to that of Cheri's. She carefully explained how the correct application technique is critical for lash health. Mine were in such bad shape, she had to remove the original. When it comes to lashes, Cheri knows a thing or two!!! This girl can do lashes with her eyes closed. Yes, she's that good. I had her apply a full set before my trip to Hawaii. It's the best thing that I've ever done for myself when it comes to my beauty regime. Usually it takes me a good 15 minutes to do "my eyes" in the morning. With eyelash extensions it cut my time down to approximately 1 minute. No kidding! Not to mention that while I was in Hawaii, I was in the water all of the time and my lashes stayed on for over a month. No joke.
