I've had two sessions so far here with Averie for laser tattoo removal, who is kind and easy to talk to. But my most recent visit left me hesitant to recommend this place. At my first appointment, we confirmed my two small tattoos directly next to one another would be classified and priced as a single "small" session at $200, and my next visit was rebooked at that same classification with the front desk while Averie was present. During my second session, the treatment went ahead as normal and Averie and I chatted throughout the treatment for ~30 minutes with no mention of any price change. Only after it was complete did the front desk tell me I'd be charged for a "medium" instead, bringing the total to $300. When I pushed back, the explanation I got from Averie felt jumbled and inconsistent. I paid the difference anyway because I'd already received the treatment and didn't feel I had a real choice. Deciding pricing after a service is done, when the client has no ability to say no, isn't something I can overlook, especially with a licensed provider where trust matters. I'm not sure if I'll be booking future sessions here. EDIT: The owner has reached out to rectify the situation, so I'll adjust the stars rating but leaving this up in case there are others who run into this same issue for transparency. read more

She takes the time to explain everything, makes sure you're comfortable throughout the entire process, and never makes you feel rushed. When someone is working that close to your eyes and doing something permanent- that level of attention and care matters! The studio itself is beautiful, welcoming, and clearly very professionally run. They offer a wide range of services, including microneedling, laser treatments, tattoo removal, and more, and the entire space has a polished, high-end feel without being intimidating. Angela's treatment room is lovely and comfortable, and she has a way of making the whole experience feel relaxed while still being extremely precise and professional. I'm back with another review because this place continues to deliver. I had lip blushing done this year with Vivian, and previously I've had eyeliner and brows done here as well, all with different artists. Every experience has been consistently excellent. Vivian was incredibly clear and upfront about the lip blushing process, including the fact that it can be more intense than eyeliner or brows. For me, that was true, though I know it varies by person. My first pass healed lighter than I wanted, and at my follow-up Vivian really listened. She made sure I was thoroughly numbed and adjusted the color to a richer shade that I love. She also explained that some lips simply don't retain pigment as easily, which was reassuring and helpful to understand. Healing was easy, and I'm excited to see how the color continues to settle over the next few weeks. What really stands out to me about this studio is how kind, attentive, and thoughtful all of the artists are. One consistent approach I've noticed is that they intentionally go lighter at first, which makes total sense. You can always deepen the color at the follow-up, and it avoids ending up with something too intense. Overall, another great experience and I couldn't be happier with the care and results. read more

It's been two years since my initial surgical scar camo tattoo sessions with Shonna. I wasn't sure I needed to come in, but felt it would be good to get her opinion. Scheduling was a breeze, parking was easy to find nearby, and the check-in process upon arrival was smooth as silk. This is a VERY well run operation! Shonna's treatment space is inviting and airy. She immediately pointed out where a couple of sections of my scars had released pigment over time and needed touch-up. She also said she had some new pigments since my last visit that would better match my skin tone. I really respect how prepared and professional she is. The overall touch-up procedure was done painlessly and quickly. At the end she observed that there was a bit of bleeding, and asked if I'd forgotten to follow the pre-procedure recommendation to avoid caffeine the day of a session. Sheepishly, I said I did have coffee. She was judgement free, and just moved on to outline on post-procedure tattoo care regiment. Overall, I can't recommend Shonna and DAELA highly enough! Oh! My! Goodness!!!!! I have wanted to get my eyebrows tattooed for the LONGEST time, because of my Alopecia, they have been disappearing (and Im at that age where... well... 'stuff' happens anyway lol) - but I hemmed and hawed because I was just so nervous! Today I had my appointment at Daela Tattoo and it could not have gone better!! In fact it EXCEEDED my expectations!! First of all, its dead easy to get to - AND they give you a code so you can park for free in the lot right behind the studio! Secondly, when you walk in, its so nice and bright and the front desk gal is SO nice and offered me something to drink (water or hot tea!!!) and let me know my artist would be with me shortly. MY artist was Amie - She was absolutely PHENOMENAL!! I explained to her that I didnt want big chunky eyebrows, and because I might be letting my hair go grey in the next year or so, I didnt want super dark eyebrows. We chatted and she understood exactly what I meant, and then she got to work. First she put numbing cream on my eybrows!! (Ive had tattoos before and never was I offered numbing cream!!) and then she measured and drew the eyebrows on, so I could see what they would look like. The outline looked good... so then she got to work. She was so gentle and she did 3 layers (because I had very little eyebrows there so she wanted to build the colour up a layer at a time). And she put more numbing cream on before each new layer!! It took about an hour and half from start to finish - it wasnt that long really and the tattooing made me sleepy (because there was no pinching all you can feel is the buzzing of the tattoo pen, and it kind of lulls you lol) When she was done, she wiped away all the excess and then handed me the mirror. I started to cry. They looked EXACTLY how I imagined them and how I wanted them to look and they looked soooo natural and JUST the way I usually painstakingly draw them on - you wouldnt know that they are tattoed on!!!! My eyebrows are BEAUTIFUL!!! I go back in about 7 weeks for a 'touch up' (and to see how they are doing) and I might possibly get hairs put on (nanoblading) too... but we'll see. As they are right now, I love them!! They are the perfect colour and perfect shape and not big and boxy ... and they are just PERFECT!!! Did I say they were Perfect??
