I highly recommend that you do NOT use Ettinger Law Firm. They cost my family tens of thousands of dollars by not completing our Family Trust. They assured us it was finished, however they never funded it by moving the deeds of our properties into the name of the trust. My parents paid $10,000 for that service along with others that they never received. Then on top of that, after my parents passed away, Ettinger's attorney misplaced our original copy of the last will and testament. Again, they assured us that they never hold onto these documents but ended up calling us a couple months later to tell us they found them. It was too late. This was already after we began the probate process. We had to enter the courts as if there was no will or trust when my parents spent over $10,000 on these services. The taxes that we ended up owing after we sold our family home were very high because we had no trust. We should've been protected by the trust we paid for. This law firm is incompetent and it would be a huge mistake to use them for anything. read more

I have a Supplemental Needs Trust Fund Account set up for me. I am not sure I am getting the correct advice from the attorney who set up my Trust Fund Account. I called Ettinger Law Firm to get a consultation. I just spoke with their Medicaid specialist. I said to him that I am not sure that I am getting the correct advice from the attorney who set up my Trust Fund and explained my situation to him. Besides being rude, especially at the end of the call, he told me that I should speak to the attorney who set up my Trust Fund. This is right after I said to him that I am not sure that I am getting the correct advice from the attorney who set up my Trust Fund. I was willing to pay to have them review my Trust Fund and explain what I need to do - now I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

Buyer be ware! The main goal in my experience is to get your initial 7-8 K upfront for the trust. You sign an agreement for LIFETIME email and phone support/concerns/questions. It's in writing, you all got it. Ask for your copy. This doc does not disclose additional charges for changes or 1% of the estate to administer the trust. Start asking questions and you will be shocked. They trap you as, once the trust is written, where else can you go to get help? Oh Ettinger at 1% of your parents legacy Michael is arrogant and condescending. Go to yelp and start posting. He thinks he his the almighty power above. He treats people like crap and no where near his equal. Yes a great sales person as he got all of our parents or us. Start asking questions and see what happens. He disrespected my parents at age 91 and 93 then graciously took their additional funds for some minor changes for 3k. Insane that he never disclose the fees nor would he give a fee schedule when asked. We are in for over 11k and he refuses to answers questions. He wants to start a new retainer for 1% of the estate to answer questions. They refuse to give any signed documents from previous conversations or Attourney suggestions on prior meetings. Why , it's simple, they don't have it. He can say whatever he wants, however logic dictates , if you advise a client to do XYZ and they refuse then have them sign off that it was discussed. We are dealing with money and a legacy. It's so impotent but the firm offers no documents to back what they say. They can write a trust, but there is no follow up as to how to really manage the trust to stay compliant. Im done Stay away and get your money back! read more

Not a good experience at all. First consultation meeting was ok. I came back 1 week later with my mom and there was no record of the first meeting or record of the scheduled appointment. As they scrambled to get all our information (again) we were given about 5 minutes to look over the documents and sign them. We were told they didn't have time to let us read through the documents that we should just sign them. Then promptly told us to move out of the room we had been sitting in because they needed it for another client. Unforgivable behavior to treat me and my elderly mom so badly. Both my mom & I were confused and upset after the experience. Shame on them for pretending to be a "caring" law firm when in fact they clearly cared only that we sign documents and pay quickly. read more
