Itamar Levy does do all the onboarding and is super charming, then you will more than likely get kicked to someone else. Mike Barrows is who I got and is a good guy, definitely smart and competent, like him a lot, all business but that's cool, I don't think your divorce lawyer should be your therapist. I did feel supported and like the firm was on my side. Communication was rough though. Sometimes super fast, often had to send several emails and messages over days to get any response. Getting a paralegal to respond almost impossible. Often repeatedly asked the same question and nothing. I understand these firms have lots of clients, and its all stressful, but can't say I feel or felt like a priority. Once the agreement was finalized I got kicked to someone else to deal with a property transfer and here the nightmare is ongoing. I've repeatedly asked for clarity and get one liners. I'm still in limbo, being billed, and it feels like no one is focusing or interested in helping. So, a super decent and competent firm, but I don't feel I've been supported all the way. That said, there is much much worse out there and this is a good choice.

The Lawyer Diana will not represent you for your court hearing either she will send you a email 1-2 hours before your court hearing and let you know that she will not represent you and sent a per diem Lawyer to represent you and they don't know nothing about your case, once completed they send you a invoice for $1750 for that per diem that didn't know anything about your case. While in Boston, we had a wonderful Attorney, who was also a wonderful friend for decades, and he helped us to initially establish a comprehensive Estate Plan and made sure we met on a regular basis to  discuss and update any changes, if need be, in our life status.   My wife and I recently returned to Boston for a short business trip and met with our Attorney while we were there to discuss our Estate Plan.  He suggested that since we are permanently living in New York it would be best to meet with a New York based Attorney and discuss a New York based Estate Plan since Estate Planning laws in New York are similar but different than in Massachusetts and this approach would eliminate any confusion. So, upon our return to New York, we contacted a friend who recommended Michelle A. Dantuono, Esg,  an Attorney with Kurre Schneps LLC in Manhasset, NY. This was probably the best recommendation we've received in a long...long time. My wife and I met with Michelle in her office and explained who we were, how we were introduced to her and our current Massachusetts based Estate Planning situation and needs.  Michelle actively listened during our entire initial meeting and it was such a pleasure to have someone really listen to what we said, to help us determine what had stayed the same and what had changed since our relocation to New York and then develop an action plan with Next Steps to produce a new Estate Plan based on New York law. I wanted to dismiss services various times. There was no communication, and it was all about being DRIVEN by MONEY, and making more. My time sensitive paperwork was ignored, and at times I didn't know about my court dates. At the end of it all I dismissed services after I came to find out that the court sent information stating things that were not done correctly or that weren't done at all in my divorce paperwork. It was ignored for months! I finished my divorce papers on my own, which probably would have cost me another couple of thousand if I didn't look into the issue and never found out that my paperwork was neglected.
