However, they require x-rays before cleaning. I have had my teeth clean many many times over the years. Last check up was two years ago but last cleaning was 18 months ago at a different location. No one has ever required that I have X-ray before a cleaning. I have had yearly check-ups before at a different dental facility that asked me to sign a waiver for the service but none that ever mandated that service could not be provided without X-rays, so I just had to leave. Just my interaction with the hygienist assigned to me on my first visit was enough for me to know this was not the practice for me When I explained about my previous painful experiences and my apprehension about even having my teeth cleaned, her response was, "Well, this IS a dental practice. EVERYthing is going to be uncomfortable." I decided not to proceed with the appointment and left. I went back to the research I had done. RR Dentistry had lots of very good reviews and their web site emphasized "patient comfort" so that was where I chose to make an appointment. It was the right decision. I could not be happier with my choice. Every member of their staff from the New Patient Coordinator (Susie) to the dentist (Dr. Cory Roach) to his assistant (Lisa) was both friendly and competent . Everyone put me at ease. Dr. Roach was thorough and gentle as he performed an extensive examination of my teeth and mouth. His assistant (Lisa) was also very kind and compassionate. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth (Pam) did so with zero pain. I feel much better about future appointments now that I have found a dental practice whose staff truly is concerned with patient comfort as well as excellent dental care.

Extremely Disappointed -- Avoid This Dentist…read more Dr. Dustin Adamek performed a crown restoration on tooth #19, which led to a crack inside the tooth, infection, and the need for a full implant. I had to have the crown he put in extracted, and now I need an implant. During the numbing injections, he talked to and looked at his assistant instead of focusing on the procedure, and he seemed distracted throughout. He also complained about my previous crown work in front of me to his assistant, which was unprofessional and inappropriate. When complications arose shortly after, Dr. Adamek would not speak to me directly or take any responsibility for a failed crown -- all within three months of the procedure. I've never had a tooth infection in 58 years -- until now. The office staff was kind and professional, but the care I received caused lasting harm. I do not recommend this dentist. One big issue I have with Wolf Ranch Dental is that they push HARD to get a deep cleaning done…read more When they came in ( not dentist) and checked my gums with the tool they use, she poked hard and made my gums bleed. My gums don't bleed when I brush them and rarely bleed when I floss. Since I was 18 I've been told I have deep pockets and every dentists over the last 30 plus years tell me the same thing. I even told them that and it was a continued push from the dentists to the checkout person all pushing that I need to get the deep cleaning done. Wolf Ranch excels at installing crowns in the same day that you need one. They make them in house and love that you don't have to get a temporary crown and come back later to get the permanent one put in. Find a practice that will listen to you and realize that pushing a procedure to just make money is not necessarily in the best interest of the patient.

I have never been to a dental office where the technical staff greeting you doesn't know what procedure you're actually getting and starts communicating something else completely, and this has been multiple times. You constantly need to be your own advocate each visit to make sure they do not take advantage of you. One example is that I was misled in pricing for a procedure after talking to multiple staff and providing insurance information and signing off on it. On the day of the actual procedure another staff member then told me it's 1,000 cheaper than what was expecting. Apparently no one bothered to apply insurance benefits until the morning of. I give them the benefit of the doubt but I honestly feel cannot recommend this place. They are also constantly booked so follow up appointments will always be pushed back due to scheduling. They are blessed to be in the location that they are but they unfortunately do not respectfully serve the community and give customers the care and treatment they deserve. Also bed side manner is simply not there, generally patients asking a question or clarification is a huge inconvenience for the dentist.

I can respect this as your doctor doesn't know anything about you unless you tell them. My Hygienist was very friendly, she gave me a lot of pointers regarding dental maintenance and cleaning tips around my retainer. Dr. Josh Rankin examined me. Very attentive and personal. They asked a lot of questions about me. Which I thought was very important. Like I said, they only know what you tell them. Overall it was a wonderful experience, considering it was a dental office.
