From a visit where they handed me a bill for several hundred dollars along with years worth of billing codes as a justification, without any ability to explain why I owed it (I didn't pay), to the most recent notification to my wife while she was on the way to her appointment that they had dropped our insurance from coverage and she would need to pay $316 out of pocket for a teeth cleaning, I'm done. This office is only looking to take your money. I had a small tooth ache and went to get it checked, they told me I needed a root canal which made no sense given that it didn't hurt 24/7. I sent the x rays to a friend that's a dentist (she lives in a different state) and she told me I just needed the filling replaced. Upon going to get a second opinion I only needed the filling replaced done. When I told the dental office that I got another opinion and was told I don't need a root canal they got very defensive and told me that the other dentist must not know how to actually help you then... Long story short, save your time and money and go to another dentist. read more

Rude staff when trying to cancel. Son is sick throwing up and they charged a $50 fee. Called to leave a message to cancel, called the next day to confirm and they said no message was left, that will be $50. Now they want a prepay of $300 to set a new appointment. we are trying to be responsible so no one vomits on the dentist but they want to be rude and state "he has a history of this" . The dentist also is not that great, did not put a good crown on, had to be repaired. Also the dental assistants seem to be right out of school with no professional acumen. read more

I recently had my first appointment with Horizon which I chose after having a negative experience elsewhere in Georgetown. I will make this short and to the point. I am 70 yrs. old and this was the best dental experience ever. Friendly, very clean the Hygienist (Kinsey) was great totally involved and informed me of where there were concerns and how to proceed to avoid future problems. Lucretia the Office mgr. was great, friendly explained the billing and set the appointments for the future. Bottom line they really make you feel special. Last and certainly not least Dr. Mughrabi was able to explain my situation in a way where I left knowing that he had a grasp of where my dental problems were and what we needed to do to avoid future issues. I DON'T usually write reviews but everyone there was so awesome no joke I actually am looking forward to my next visit. read more

Amazing!!! I'm a recent Texas transplant and had delayed making any dental appointments due to Covid. The office was super helpful! I got an appointment within a week of calling - how is that even possible? The dental hygienist was incredibly sweet, welcoming and thorough. My wife had a 4pm appt for a root canal, we got the at 4:08, once inside the girl said "I was just about to call u guys to make sure u were coming", she then took payment, we then sat in the waiting area, about 3 minutes pass, another girl comes from the back up to the front counter, they called my wife up there & told her they couldn't do it cuz we were late!? If minutes were THAT important they should have told us we need to be there exactly on time or even early! Here's another reason I know they were lying; what if there had been some complication that would have required an extra 10 20 or 30 minutes? What the doctor have just said "I'm out of here I did my 60 minutes sorry too bad"? They then switched their excuse to "sometimes that certain tooth has more than one root" and then they started also using the excuse that the doctor had to pick up his kid from daycare and couldn't be late, if you were telling the truth you wouldn't try 3 different excuses! Being parents and having dealt with daycare before I know full well that you can be late and the worst case scenario they might charge you a little bit extra which we would have been willing to pay the doctor an extra 10 or $20 if that had happened! We got in the car to leave and I realize that they still had my wife's $$ so we decided to go back in and have them refund it because they didn't have another appointment for 3 weeks and she was already in pain. This place will be losing 4 patients over this irresponsible unprofessional waste of our time it was also very very hard for my wife to get a day off work!!! read more

What a great experience from the 1st phone call to see if they accepted our insurance through my initial appointment and consultation. Having recently retired and now trying to navigate the new world of Medicare and insurance coverage, it's awesome to have a solid partner and help in that process. Admittedly I've neglected my teeth over the years for no good reason except for my self-consciousness about them so I decided it was about time to make a positive change! Great experience!!! The office is really well equipped with modern technologies with a super nice and welcoming staff. Jeni helped me get set up and complete the minimal paperwork needed and was very engaging and knows how to make a person feel welcomed. Molly took all my X-rays, measurements etc and was extremely skilled in her techniques, manner, and feedback. Dr. Z made me feel welcomed and comfortable with the course of actions needed I just know they will take great care of me. I'll begin the work needed in a couple of weeks and look forward to positive results so more reviews to come. From what I've read and seen so far, I highly recommend this office to all. I had called him because i was new to the area had a major failur of a large set of dental work break two teeth and fall out of my mouth. He is now working to replace my teeth. To keep me with teeth he is taking the old bride reworking it so I will have teeth while we work to replace and stabilize the old teeth bridge. The Horizon staff is totally professional and at the same time they make you feel totally welcome and almost glad to be there, Dr. Guirguis greets you with a smile that says I'm glad you are here and I am here help you, so lets get to work..and its obvious she takes her job seriously. Her exams and explanations of the condition of your oral health are clear and concise and she gives you the plan necessary to correct the problem(s) along with any alternatives that are available and she lets you make the decisions. Although its located in what looks like a run down or a bit abandoned plaza ... the place is very professional can care for your needs. They do not try to rip you off like other places they tell you whats good for you personally. I don't have insurance and have to pay out of pocket and the dentist as well as the staff helped me choose what was best for me even if at the end of the day I would have used up no money and only their time. They are cheap for the quality they give i guarantee it since i'm a thrifty bargain hunter. I needed a dentist last minute for a cracked tooth during the holidays and Dr Mughrabi's office was able to get me in right away. Immediately upon walking in I notices that the office was bright, new, and very clean. The staff was friendly and professional & I couldn't have appreciated more the work that they did. Otherwise, I would've been suffering during the holidays. Being from out of state, I paid cash because my insurance doesn't apply here and I thought the price was reasonable given the work they did and the urgent appointment. It definitely didn't feel like they were trying to take you for a ride like at some dentist's offices. Dr Mughrabi was personable & makes you feel at ease that you're with a competent dentist. worst dental experience ever! when i left the dental office i was drugged up and had no idea i was being sent out the door looking like this. the temporary implant is crooked, with a space of more than 1/2 inch left beside my original tooth and the implant. the angle at which the implant was installed is out of this world. i am now the proud owner of buck teeth. the implant rests on my lower teeth so much that it causes pain whenever my mouth is closed. i called the office the next day as i was extremely disappointed at having spent over $6,000 to have this procedure done with this outcome. the website says they are open on saturdays but all i got was an answering machine. i called the office in austin to get a response. when the dr. called me back he told me that i had been a very bad patient. read more
