Since I found her in February, she's been nothing short of a life-saver and has become a huge part of my dogs' lives AND become a dear friend. When my schedule became impossible and I started finding notes from my neighbor on my door when I'd get home at the end of the day, I knew I needed to find someone. In came Genna, who loves dogs and animals to the core of her being, and who has - to my chagrin - cleaned up a myriad of crazy messes my dogs greeted her with. She walks my two large pups numerous times a week and even though I never asked her to, she lets me know when she's arriving and sends me fantastic photos of the dogs EVERY SINGLE TIME. Simply put, if you need someone who'll love and look after your dogs and probably do a better job at it than even you? Hire Genna and her employees... but please don't take my time slots. Seriously!

I have been looking for a reliable pet sitter for my dog when I go out of town for work (which is somewhat regularly). I have tried on three different occasions reaching out to them and I've never gotten ahold of anyone when calling or have I ever received a call back when I've contact them through the website or left a voice message. Seems pretty basic to call a potential customer back (and I would have been a repeat customer) if you are a business, but hey what do I know? Based on this, I will not be reaching out to them again as I can already tell they are unprofessional.

But part of what Diane does is a "home visit" to see the animals at home with owner. It was a comfort to me and also gave me a chance to see how they were with my cats. No "fake" animal love here! I originally reached out to Oregon Ruff Runners to help exercise my dog Obie while I was pregnant…read moreand after the birth of our baby. To be honest I thought we might just use ORR for a short time while I was pregnant and after the delivery of our baby but after I met Josh and saw how much Obie loves him I knew they would have a customer for life. Before booking runs with ORR, Obie was moderately exercised but as a large breed, working dog he needed more. Behaviorally he pulled a bit on the leash, had some separation anxiety, was frightened of and leash reactive with other dogs. Now though, Obie pulls less on our walks, has learned several useful commands (we did the additional brain games package in addition to the running) and is less reactive while on walks. As a rescue dog he has had some mild separation anxiety and seems to be more social and confident since going out with Josh. After each run Obie is happy for the entire day. Overall he seems more calm and peaceful after a run with Josh. Also, he has lost 3 pounds! One of my favorite things is when Obie sees Josh's car pull up he starts slowly wagging his tail and does a few of what we call "baby deer jumps", it's really sweet. I like to watch them run off together, Obie will look back to me just to double check everything's ok and then confidently turn to run again. It is really nice to see him be excited and not so worried about leaving my side. I am so happy we found Oregon Ruff Runners! They are flexible, affordable, up-to-date on training techniques, truly care about each dog's well being and care for the betterment of Eugene's dog community as a whole. I recently started having Oregon Ruff Runners take my Sadie girl for a weekly run, sometimes 2X per…read moreweek and it's one of the best things I can do for her. She gets out and exercises which has increased her stamina, her strength, her overall health for sure and she gets to socialize with other dogs and hang out with Josh who is amazing! All I have to do is tell her Josh is coming today and she knows exactly what that means, she gets all excited and can't wait for her run. Josh is awesome with her, Sadie is a rescue and can be timid around new people but she knew right away she was safe with Josh and that was enough for me because if Sadie likes you, you're good people. Since I can't get Sadie out for the daily exercise she needs, this is perfect - it helps both of us as I don't have to feel guilty for working and she gets to make new friends. Briana has taken amazing care of her on adventures, sends me videos and pictures and even has had me on an adventure so I could watch my dogs learn, interact, play and gain confidence. They use a platform for communication that has a detailed checklist of pet sitting tasks, as well as providing a supplemental account and cute photos of the visit.
