I'm surprised with all of the great reviews when I can't even get them to pick up the phone or call me back. I have been looking for a reliable pet sitter for my dog when I go out of town for work (which is somewhat regularly). I have tried on three different occasions reaching out to them and I've never gotten ahold of anyone when calling or have I ever received a call back when I've contact them through the website or left a voice message. Seems pretty basic to call a potential customer back (and I would have been a repeat customer) if you are a business, but hey what do I know? Based on this, I will not be reaching out to them again as I can already tell they are unprofessional. read more

I can't believe I haven't written a review for Muddy Paws. Our dog is almost 4 years old and has been staying overnight with Laura since he was a puppy. He absolutely LOVES Laura and loves being at her house. Her house and yard are perfectly set up for dogs. He gets so excited when we are our way to her house and when we are in her neighborhood. He is always completely worn out when he comes home from an overnight (or many) at Muddy Paws. We are always confident Rudy is in great hands and is having a wonderful time. Rachael is amazing! First, our kitty came up to her immediately, which is not typical. When we came home after she cared for both our kitty and bunny, they were as calm as if we had just gone for a walk around the block. Usually they are so anxious and wound up they scramble around us for hours. We could clearly tell they were comfortable, calm, perfectly fed and loved. It's like a dream come true to find a professional sitter with an amazing spirit that connects with our animals and brings peace to everyone. Austin's loss is Eugene's gain. Laura came by for a complimentary meet and greet and we knew right away that she was the one for us, or rather for our furry critters. You can tell she knows and loves animals. She came by to feed/walk our small dog and tend to the cats for an evening and a morning. When we got home everyone was happy. I am so thrilled to have found something that finally works for our precious (diva) fur child. She gets pretty depressed in regular boarding settings, which gives us a horrible guilt complex about leaving her. And I always hesitate to leave her with other people who may not be as experienced or trustworthy. Finding someone who runs a trusted pet sitting business and will board dogs in her home was the perfect fit! Laura listened to us and accommodated our pups needs, and was flexible and helpful as far as pick up, drop off etc. Our dog Marley loved staying with her and her other dogs and boarders, and we could tell she was happy as soon as we picked her up! Laura at Muddy Paws provided excellent service. We needed someone to feed/watch our cat while we went on a week-long trip. Laura went above and beyond what we expected from her. During our consultation visit, she was both professional and friendly - giving our cat a good amount of attention to get to know his personality as well as asking general questions about him. She even offered to water our garden while we were away. She made sure to text us photos of our furry friend to put our minds at ease. We will definitely be using Muddy Paws for future trips. We have used Laura for daily cat visits during two vacations so far. She is great about sending updates, and we have peace of mind knowing that someone trustworthy is watching our little guy. We've been using Muddy Paws to take care of our dogs for more than a year. When we had one dog, we would send him to a pet resort. He came back stressed out. So we started using Muddy Paws' home visits. Muddy Paws is an incredibly professional yet caring service. They send photos and videos of the dogs -- and they always look to be happy. In addition, with one of our dogs being a recent adoption from a shelter, he has some housebreaking troubles and particular potty behaviors -- he doesn't like to pee or poop if it's too wet or cold and sometimes requires more ​walking than our other dog. However, Muddy Paws put in that work to take care of him. Muddy Paws is truly the best service we have ever used. read more

We have 2 cats and were debating dropping them off at an out-of-house shelter, but opted to go with the in-home care of Muddy Paws. And we are SO HAPPY that we did. Our sitter, Claire Femal, met with us for a consultation shortly before our 2 week departure. She met the cats and got familiar with the space and their needs. While we were out of town she sent us updates and pictures throughout our trip. We could tell she really cared for the cats and put in effort beyond anything we could have hoped for. Our cats are a little needy and have quirky personalities/specific needs -- she did a great job with them and was flexible to change things up when she needed to. She even met me late at night to return the keys when my flight got delayed and cleaned our apartment when she left! Laura and her team are great! We have used them for the last 8 months for dog walking as well as overnight care (both in our own home and a dog sitter's). It is peace of mind that my wife and I are able to trust our dog with such great people. It was such a relief to come home to relaxed and happy pets and a neat and tidy home! Claire did a wonderful job with our three older pets, including our kitty, who needs help getting around the house, and our dog, who walks about 1/2 a mile an hour and takes 2 pills a day. She was flexible and generous with her time, even agreeing to spend an extra night when our flight was rescheduled. She kept everything nice and neat around the house, and even washed, dried, and folded the sheets she used! We are BEYOND grateful for getting the opportunity to meet Shannon and have her stay with our three fur babies (1 dog, 2 cats) while we were out of town for 4 nights during Mother's Day weekend. We cannot thank her enough for the care she provided for our family! We were updated via text throughout our time away, and if any question we or Shannon needed answered, it was just a phone call away. We absolutely felt a sense of peace knowing she was there, whether it be to keep our plants alive, grab the mail, or make sure the litter box was fresh. Most importantly to offer our animals care and companionship, all in the comfort of their own home. Our only complaint is wishing we would've found Muddy Paws sooner!!!! We had an exceptional experience leaving our two Dobies in Laura's care while we were out of town. I felt at ease knowing they were going to receive attention and great care. We met in advance to make sure that it would be a great fit for everyone, and it most certainly was. When we picked our pups up we could tell they had the most wonderful time playing with the pack. This was also the first time we left our dogs in someones professional care, and did NOT receive them back with behavioral issues. Previously, we've left our pups with a well known kennel in the area, but when we noticed the regression into maladaptive behaviors we had long extinguished (e.g. pulling on the leash, leash aggression, anxiety, increased hyperactivity, and aggression period) we knew we needed to find someone else. Which is why we are so happy to have found Laura. We can't recommend her enough! If you're looking for a gifted, and caring individual to look after your pets look no further than Laura. read more
