The massage was also different from traditional massages I've had because we started with me lying face up instead of face down, and she worked on all the different areas of my body. I then checked the Groupon and it had expired at the end of July (she never once asked any details about date). I completely understand that it was my fault that I didn't check the date. So I reached out to Groupon to see if there were any other options, and they suggested reaching out to the Spa direct for a credit since that's their policy for expired vouchers. I then texted the salon and was met with a rude response. (See texts below). She offered me an hour service at 75.00 without the Groupon credit and with the credit it'd be an additional 109.00, which didn't make sense financially. So I asked her to explain. She then called me, with an extremely rude tone, and started speaking to me like I was a nuisance for asking for a price breakdown. She told me Groupons were an add on and not the actual price which I didn't understand. Why would I know the behind the scenes policies that are in place? She said "do you get it", I said I don't I'm sorry. She then replied, "I'm not accepting an expired Groupon so have a good day ". And hung up in my face. She was so unnecessarily rude for me asking an honest question. Do better LuLu. Customer service is a huge plus for a successful business and you completely missed the mark. You should treat customers with more kindness and respect. This issue has been escalated with Groupon, thankfully. This experience was awful. But the cost kept going up and I just didn't feel I wanted to continue to commit to that much money every month. I was pleasantly surprised when I laid down on Jo's massage table! It was much more comfortable than the one used at Butke Williams! The room ambiance was just as nice, with soft lighting, soft music and ocean sound. There is also a small diffuser misting water in the air. Jo goes a step beyond Burke Williams as she has Lindt chocolates offered in a dish! We had discussed the level of pressure I preferred and whether I had any areas of concern. She advised that I could undress to the level of my comfort. I thought this was very sensitive of her as some people are uncomfortable with being nude for a massage. Personally, I prefer to be nude but others may not and I liked that she gave that option. The massage that Joe gave me was every bit as good as the massages I received at Burke Williams. She used the right amount of pressure and I felt totally relaxed afterwards. Admittedly I am not the best eater so being on Wegovy same time worked for me. I also exercised and went to the sauna at least 2 times a week. So, I imagine that Eon won't work if you're not eating less or on a similar medication. Facility, aestheticians, scheduling, comfort, all great as per other reviews.
