I had the pleasure of meeting Bob and Anna. Their shop is brand new and has a ton of pedicure and manicure stations. Bob was able to fit me in for mail removal and a gel manicure. My guess is it's just the cleaning products. But the place was CLEAN! I always look for that and it's a big bonus. Like the other reviews said, they do use a "cheese grater" type contraption to remove the calluses, which was fine with me bc I have one exactly like it (but it's in a box somewhere traveling across the country). I asked the lady to be gentle because I have VERY sensitive feet. She spent nearly 20 minutes making sure my feet were baby butt soft!! I didn't catch her name but she did amazing. I should have taken a "before" photo of my heels...seriously, she was that good. Price was ehh...$30 for a fairly basic pedicure but she didn't charge me more for the extra extra time she spent on my heels, so it evens out. One semi-downfall, they didn't use a brush/polish remover to clean up the polish on my skin, she just used her nail. But overall, if that's all I can ding them for, it's not a bad place to go at all. I had requested an acrylic full set in my appointment and found out later that we were actually applying builder gel. I'm not sure on the specific differences between acrylic and builder gel, but I was told by a previous nail technician that the acrylic is more long lasting and tough, which I prefer because I'm pretty hard on my hands. Again, maybe the way that the builder gel was applied mimics the acrylic, but the lack of clarity on my end is a little frustrating as I've been to salons that walk-through what exactly is being applied, and also have sisters that provide acrylic and builder gel nail services in another state. The application itself is rather thick and a little lumpy on some nails, which I didn't notice until after I left . Definitely on me for not saying something while I was there to have them try to fix it. I also had nail tips applied, not a fan of the opaque color of the tip underneath as I don't think it mimics a natural nail. If I go here again, I think I'll request a different tip type. The salon vibe and interior is pretty standard. Booking an appointment was a little confusing, I booked an appointment at B&T salon in Ballston Spa but was told via Facebook message from the business to go to Le Nails instead as the owner spends more time there than at the one in Ballston Spa.
