Lisa give The Best facial EVER! Lovely vibe at the Spa!!! Love all the new improvements.read more

We are in town visiting family for Thanksgiving . My awesome husband decided to surprise me with a…read morespa day Now please forgive me in advance, i do not recall either of the sweet lady's names that took such good care of me He booked me a bath, massage and facial. I am no stranger to massage but i have never had a spa bath or a facial before. The spa house is quaint and antique. I absolutely loved the feel and ambience of it. I arrived a few minutes early, used the lady's room and almost as soon as i sat down in the waiting area, i was greeted and told that my bath was ready. I was taken into a dimly lit room where i had a nice warm bath of mineral water waiting for me. There was a robe, a towel, and a hand towel, along with a little chocolate and ice cold water. I was educated on the detoxification properties of the mineral bath and advised to drink a good amount of water. After my 30 minute soak, a gentle knock on the door was my friendly reminder that it was time for my massage. I dried off and slipped into my robe and the slippers they provided. The sweet lady helped me carry my clothes to the massage room. Next, my wonderful massage therapist came into the room. We went over the basics then she stepped out while i got myself into position on the table. I've had Swedish massage and therapeutic, deep tissue & sports massage. My knotted up body was ready for whatever she was willing to throw at me, and she delivered!!!! It was the perfect balance between Swedish and deep tissue. Just the right amount of pressure with relaxing massage. Next came my first ever facial! You know that moment after a massage where you are feeling like a bowl of pudding and you really don't want to get up? A facial is PERFECT for this! I still got to relax and get a nice facial massage while my body woke up. After, my face was soft and absolutely glowing! If you're in the area, i highly recommend The Medbery Day Spa!

Cute little spa. Came here in a group of 5 for a bachelorette party, we all wanted different things…read moreand they easily accommodated us. They greeted us in the lobby and introduced themselves first which made us all comfortable. We appreciated that they asked if we'd be ok with a male masseuse instead of assuming. I had a mineral bath and it was so relaxing. The room was cozy, had dimming lights, and music playing. My bath attendant made sure the water temperature was good for me and she offered me a glass of wine while I soaked. On our way out, the staff gave the bride in our party some fresh sunflowers they picked up at the farmers market. It was such a sweet gesture. Would definitely use their services again.

This review is for the Inn only…read more While Maggie was welcoming, the Inn is need of a major overhaul. The small full size bed in the Stephen Medbery suite was like a brick, my husband and I found it difficult to sleep. The chairs on the porch have seen better days along with the carpeting and furniture in the Inn and room. The bathroom was tiny, the TV was at least 20 years old (with a DVD player), the tub was in the middle of the room along with a huge electric fireplace, tons of furniture and very little space to be comfortable. There was a fridge in the room but no other amenities were offered. WiFi didn't work during our stay either. Would not recommend staying here. There are better options elsewhere for sure. Especially at the price we paid ($250 a night). Also - if you really look at their website (which doesn't list much information about the rooms) they are using the same photo for all rooms listed.
