I was happily greeted by Vita and told her I was interested in getting color. She examined and assessed my hair and I told her the color that I was looking for and she said let's do it! If you are not competent enough to perform a service, DON'T offer it! Don't waste your time or money here. Expensive, unprofessional and unqualified! Their response to my review on Facebook that they posted was nothing more than and out right attempt to cover up their mistake with lies saying they said they didn't want to dry cut my daughters hair. I have zero respect from someone who makes a mistake an attempts to cover it up with lies. Poor excuse for a human being.

I really had high hopes for this 'salon'... what a PAINFUL let down!!…read more I had an 'appointment' at 3:00 on 2/2/13 for a wash/condition and Dominican Blowout. I am a firm believer in honoring your my time commitments (and I expect others to honor theirs). I was frustrated that I couldn't 'find' the darn salon! I called and explained that I was in the plaza next to the dealership and couldn't find the salon. Instead of telling me that the salon was 'inside of Tilton Fitness' Ester said that the salon was 'across from Pep Boys'. I drove around the small Pep Boys center and said I didn't see the salon. Ester then said, we are 'inside the fitness plaza'. I strolled into Tilton Fitness at 3:02. (aarrggh hate being late). I looked to my left/right and saw the salon... tiny/quaint. I smiled and said hello and noticed that Ester was in the early stages of a dye job. She offered me a magazine and said, 'can you do me a favor and sit out in the (Tilton Fitness) lobby until I call for you.' (wait..what? a favor... um ok). At 3:42 I text my husband that I'd give her 10 more minutes and then I'm leaving. She walked out and waved me in. There was one hood dryer stand... and the lady getting the dye job was under it. She waved me to a very nice washing chair and apologized for the wait. I accepted her apology and asked if the wait was 'normal' for a scheduled appointment. She said 'no'. I asked if she is normally the only stylist... she said no... and then said, 'well yes on the weekends because the other stylist had other jobs'. She wrapped a stained, somewhat threadbare towel around my neck and proceeded to rinse my hair with startlingly cold water... and then asked me if the water was too hot (wth???) I responded that the water was actually cold. Her phone (ear piece) rang, she proceeded to have a conversation about purchasing an item for 'cheap' no more than 2500. As she spoke, she absentmindedly washed my hair for what seemed like 30 seconds, sprayed water in my ear, and then turned the water on incredibly hot to rinse out the suds. ...all the while talking on the phone trying to close a deal... She swiped about a 1/2 teaspoon of conditioner out of a tub and rubbed in on my hair. (my hair is really thick, relaxed, and past my shoulder blades... ) She massaged the conditioner in for a second or two, clipped up my hair, and put on a shower cap. After asking the dye job lady to move, she waved me over and said I'd be under the dryer for 15 minutes. ...25 minutes later she lifted the dryer hood and told me I'd have to wait for my "hair to cool"... she proceeded to trim, blowdry and style the dye job lady. She waved me over to the chair to put the rollers in. (she seemed surprised that my thick, long relaxed hair was 'tangly' and hard to comb with the fine toothed comb) She pulled out a wire brush and proceeded to try and detangle the ends (f-n OUCH!) After rolling my hair and she put me under the hood dryer (it was 4:50). After starting/completing another lady's hair, she came over and lifted the dryer hood. It was 5:52. She took out the rollers and asked me if I wanted flat iron. I said "let's see how it straight it is after the blowout". She started the blow out, and proceeded to burn the back of my neck, the top of my right ear, the top of my head ( that one was intensely bad.. I cried out and she said 'oh sorry' I reached for the burnt spot and my fingertips burned. She said, "oh NO! don't touch it!). She finished up by blowing out my bangs and burning my scalp right above my hairline. I started backing up my iPad and phone... and then started to stand, as she was brushing my hair... but by this point I was DONE. I couldn't stand it another second. I stood up and she said it was $30... my hair was full of static electricity and standing on end... sigh... If I could give 0 stars I would. HELP!!!!! WHERE can I get a GREAT DOMINICAN BLOWOUT in the EHT, Northfield, Linwood, Somers Point area??

I was recommended to book with Cindy for a much needed root touch up on my ombré and ends trimmed…read more The appointment was at 8 a.m. (by my choice) and shortly after a brief consult with Cindy; she called Maritza for help to make sure she applied the correct root color for my ombré. Kudos to the excellent teamwork, dedication to quality service, and asking for help when one doesn't know. After Maritza mixed the color, Cindy went to work (dye roots, shampoo, conditioning treatment, wash & set, and ends trimmed)! I was ready to check-out and Maritza stopped me; she suggested a slight eyebrow dye (FREE). It all turned out amazing. More importantly, I paid 50% less than I'm used to paying in Baltimore for roots and trim. FYI--many regulars walked-in for a wash & sets without appointments.

I had a lot of hair come out my head from her detangling my hair fast, rough, and without using the right product for my thick curly hair. Overall my hair looks great though.
