I had a really pleasant experience at Europa. I received a gift certificate for my birthday from my husband. The gift certificate included a massage, body scrub and a facial. Everyone there was very friendly and professional. All the services took place in one room which was really nice. The massage was great, just the right pressure. The body scrub was good too. My skin was really soft and smooth afterwards. The facial was also wonderful as the esthetician got rid of all the blackheads. Afterwards I felt renewed! I have not had a professional massage and facial since BEFORE the Covid pandemic. Since then, I've changed job roles, gained additional responsibilities and stress, and I'm finishing my Masters degree in Nursing. I knew that I had some tension and stress but had no idea that my shoulders and back were SO bad. I booked a 90 minute massage and facial with Ms Ana Ganderilla and she found and tackled every knot and my skin is glowing!!! I immediately booked an appointment to return in 2 weeks! I've been there several times. On today, I went in for a facial, which was OK. Once my facial was over, I proceeded to the front desk to pay. The cashier (a male) was extremely rude. I even had to say to him "are you having a good day" in order for him to realize how rude he was being to a paying customer. I am a hard working teacher who needed a day of relaxation, but after being treated so rudely, I will NEVER EVER go back to this spa. There are many more spas in the are who would APPRECIATE business. Attention Owner: Spas are a luxury, not a necessity. Therefore, you should treat everyone "extra" special! read more

So I've gone there a few times for a pedicure, mainly cause it's so close to my house. I can just pop in and boom! There's almost never a wait, the room where they do the pedis is clean with tons of gossip magazines (let's face it, that's one of the most important things). I went in to get a cleansing facial, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I know everybody's experience is different, but I thought the staff was very friendly. A girl named Nichole took care of me that day, she was excellent. She also proved to be knowledgeable when I asked her for skin care products and advice. She gets 5 stars for sure! Since the facial went so well, I decided to stay for a pedi. Although it was nice, I didn't get the same care as earlier that day. The job was nicely done though! read more

Horrible customer service. I had two different employees hang up on me, and the owner called me a bi***...All of this because my sister wanted to schedule her bridal massage that I had purchased for her ($300) by the way. Their policy is normally that a gift certificate expires 6 months (I believe) after the date of purchase, however I wanted to get this for her as a Christmas gift so when I purchased it in December of 2011 I explained to the owner that it was for her to get a massage right before her wedding which is at the end of September could I please have it expire on Oct 1, 2012. He said it wasn't a problem and mailed the certificate to me with 10/1/12 as the expiration date, with his signature on it. However now they are telling her that it's expired. My family gave me a "spa day" for my birthday, and I used it in January. I arrived, and they had me wait 10 minutes (I don't know why, as there was no one else I saw there), and then took me to a room for the massage. The girl who did the massage (Jenny) was excellent, and I really enjoyed it. The only problem was that at 45 minutes, she said "Okay, all done!". My family paid for an hour, and as my daughters' work hard for what they have, I felt they were shortchanged. I then got a mani-pedi, and again it was excellent. I found out the manager was the person doing it, and so I mentioned it, and she seemed surprised, as "Jenny isn't the one who usually does that." No apology, no offer for a discount on future services, barely an acknowledgement of my discontent. I was being very polite and pointing out the good things (excellent massage), so it was hardly as though I was being a whiner or anything. Puzzles me that a manager would do so little. Also, I was offered water, and after 15 minutes, went and asked for it. The services are excellent, but the customer treatment needs improvement. With so many salons competing for business, I would really treat customers better. read more

DO NOT purchase gift certificates from this place! I got a gift certificate at Christmas and just found it after moving earlier this year. I called on 9/20 and said I was making an appointment for a gift certificate from Christmas. The person who answered said ok and made the appointment. Upon arrival today they told me that it was expired and I can't redeem it. I told her that gift certificates are for good 5 years from issuance. Cathy got the manager Nina who still refused stating that the purchase signed an acknowledgement. I told her they can't make rules to supersede the law and she could either honor it, reissue it or refund the money. She still refused and said she'd honor 50%. I told her she has to honor the full amount or I would report her and she told me to go ahead. I asked for the owners info which she refused to give me. When I asked for their names Cathy didn't even want to give me their names. Bad business practices! If they are issuing gift certificates, they should know the applicable laws. Don't give these crooks your business! read more

Avoid like the plague... Wanted a 60 minute massage, got 40 minutes. When I complained they knocked it to 30 minutes, but had the nerve to try to add a $60 tip!!! I'll never go back. read more

This is a very strange place. You walk in and the male receptionist (owner) is a bit gruff and told me to 'take a seat.' When I went to the restroom, I passed a full service bar with every kind of hard liquor you can imagine and a margarita and daiquiri machine. There were staff members taking men behind doors and then just talking and laughing - I don't think they had enough work to do and so they invited their friends over. My shellac manicure wore off after just three days - it was like they didn't really know what they were doing. Kind of gave me the creeps.... read more

This is my second yelp review in the 2 years I have been on yelp. This is the first complaint but I feel so strongly about my experience at this place I believe I need to share. A year ago I went in to Europa for a spa treatment and had a very good experience. I was given a robe to wear and a locker to put my things into and was escorted from station to station and treated like a spa guest with a whole spa experience which was awesome because I was getting married a couple days later. Earlier this week I went in for a similar spa package and had the worst massage experience ever. My husband bought me a gift certificate so I thought I'd use it for some year end relaxation. I was not given the warm "spa" feeling that I had experienced the previous visit. I was put into a massage room that doubled as a facial room and had no ambiance like the prior visit. The room was cold and the music was piped in and not very relaxing. I don't know the young massage techs name but I should have gotten off the table within 5 minutes after she started. Being in such a vulnerable position half naked doesn't help with confidence levels. The massage tech asked if I wanted a "medium" massage. I told her she could go deep where she needed to. She ran her forearm and elbow across my spine repeatedly and although I told her it was okay to go deep I didn't mean for her to dig into my whole back so deep she caused pain 2 days later. I am used to deep tissue massage in tight places. I meant for her to work out the kinks in my upper back (which if she knew what she was doing she would have found on her own and worked out). In addition she used so much oil she had to wipe me down with a wet washcloth when she was done. She did not perform a slow relaxing massage but rubbed me down like a sweaty horse, and when she used the hot stones it was as though she was in a race to cover every inch of my skin. I told her twice to watch out for a certain area of my body and she did not. I felt more tense at the end of the massage and couldn't wait for her to finish and leave. Again, I should have told her to stop but I did not, so that part is on me. I did enjoy the mani/pedi and the nail tech did a great job. I left her a nice tip for her service and if she worked anywhere else I would return to her to do my nails even though I live on the other side of town now. I called the manager the next day to voice my displeasure with the massage and explained everything that I just wrote and she told me that everyone has different preferences and it probably just wasn't a good fit. I've been going in for massages for over 20 years. I can clearly remember 3 massages that were less than great in all that time. This one was by far the worse. This is not a case of "preferences" but a case of inexperience and a massage technician that has no idea what she is doing. She obviously has no "feel" for the work, no intuitive nature for massage. In addition the manager told me this tech gets a lot of compliments. I only wonder if it's because the people who don't like her don't return and don't say anything. Basically Nina (the manager) discounted my concerns and I didn't feel that she took me seriously. It's too bad because I had really hoped for a better experience. It would have been nice for her to offer to comp me in some way for a future visit with a different tech, even though I would have turned her down it would have shown me that she was willing to make an effort to make the visit right. I was not impressed with the experience this time and I won't return to this business. read more
