This review is specific to a pedicure experience. I walked in at around 6:15 and was promptly greeted and told they have availability. The space was well lit, clean and overall a pleasant look. The pedicures are done while you can relax in massage chairs. You can change the intensity and speed. The only thing that would make them better is if they had a heater as well. There are several options for pedicure types. I chose the deluxe which was $50 and included a scrub and warm towels that the basic didn't. The girl who did my pedicure took her time with each step and kept asking questions to make sure I was getting what I wanted. I left with my toes and feet looking and feeling great! I came in with my boyfriend to get our nails done, i left very satisfied with my pedicure although it was more expensive than i ever paid for a pedicure in my life, but nonetheless. I get a full set, they didn't get the shape i asked for to my liking, but i was tired for correcting them for the 4th time so i just let it go. The next day I was playing with a basketball with my 2 year old, and my nail completely popped off. I came in later that week to get it fixed and they had me sitting for an hour while i watched people all around me moving right along or coming in and getting sat right away. Then to top it off, when i was getting my nail fixed i realized they didn't even give me the color i asked for to begin with. I assumed my mistake at first but when i told her the color i got to fix, it didn't match. A few more things happened that i don't even have the energy to type honestly. This is only my second time here, not by choice, and i will most likely not ever be back. Id recommend a million places before i'd recommend here. read more

My family and I traveled from Hawaii for some family business. We decided to take my granddaughter, daughter, niece and myself in for all gel pedis and full gel for hands. All we asked was for my 3 year old granddaughter to get serviced first since she's 3 and obviously only needed a quick scrub and fast paint job. I asked 2 times for her to start the child. She said "wait". After 45 min, my granddaughter was tired and said she didn't want to anymore. My niece was getting a 100.00 set of nails was asked to sit on the side mid-nails so she could serve a nurse on a break. We spent over 300.00 and waited a really long time during a long hectic trip. Today was supposed to be our fun day and this sucked. We have to go buy nail polish at CVS to touch up my niece's nails after all that. Burns from the nail file. Ripped hang nail. Not cool. I walked into the nail salon today at Ross Park Mall. My 5 year old daughter loves getting her nails done. When I walked in I was asked what service I wanted. I informed them that my daughter wanted her nails done. I was told at first I should come back in an hour. Then the gentleman working there stated he could do it but it has to be the Gel nail. I told him I didn't want my 5 year old to have Gel nails just regular polish. He sat down and said he couldn't do it. I asked him if I wanted my regular nails just polished you wouldn't do it. Then another worker yelled from the back stating that they only do gel nails for kids because they might not sit still. I explained to her that I understood that kids nails wouldn't last long but it was more for the experience and I wouldn't ask for it to be redone. She just sat down and just ignored us. I have tried several of them here and have never had a complain with anyone! They all take their time while doing a mani or pedi, are extremely polite and each one of them can give KILLER leg massages (included while having a pedicure). Not too bad. My sister, niece & I decided to get manicures today. This location is located in Robinson Mall next to Sears (lower level) My wait took a little while. My sister and niece had a technician doing their nails asap. I sat next to them thinking someone finished up would begin mine. My sister & niece were basically done by the time mine we even started. The shop was busy.. Full of people getting pedicures. I'm assuming technicians doing pedicures only do feet because folks in line for pedicures were assisted before me. I thought the nail technician was going to rush, but she did a good , thorough job. I chose a gel Polish and she began my manicure. The gel polish looks even better on your hands than on those little plastic nails by the way. My manicure was $25 + $5 for gel polish if I'm not mistaken. My 5 year old nieces paint job (which included a base and top coat, filing & buffing) was $5 which is cool for kids who want the salon experience. Not bad, but the wait time was annoying, especially when everyone in line for a pedicure was assisted before me. Literally the worst employees.. I picked out polish for my acrylic fill and the dude in the white Lacoste hat argued with me to get gel.. I told him no 5x and he told me it lasts 3-4 weeks.. I didn't care.. I need my acrylic nails filled every 1.5-2 weeks so regular polish is perfect.. he told me it didn't matter if I got polish or gel he gets paid the same amount (which is a lie lol) then why did he care so much about me getting polish? He said he didn't want me coming back up for a touch up (which I didn't) because he said it was annoying to touch up. Why offer regular polish if you're just going to complain to the customer the entire time. He was rude and annoying the entire time offering a $35 gel instead of the normal $40 it costs. Very pushy. I normally go to the other nail place in Robinson mall and it is honestly AMAZING they were just super busy and this place was dead and could get me in immediately. Now I know why.. he also asked me 100 questions about the employees at the other salon.. seriously go to the other salon. They are nice and don't try to bully you into something else. I have had my natural nails gel polished here twice now and I loved them both times!!! The first time i had them done on dec 28 and they lasted until feb 10, no chipping or cracking! You could only see where my nails had grown... they are reasonably priced and are fairly quick about getting you in and out in a timely manner. read more

I am so unbelievably over this place. I have been getting my eyebrows waxed here for the past 6 years and the occasional mani/pedi (I only get them done for special occasions). I used to really like this place, because they were quick, easy, and reasonably priced. My past 3 experiences here have been completely annoying and frustrating. Two of these experiences were for an eyebrow wax and one for a gel manicure. The employees here can't put their personal lives on hold for even the mere 5 minutes it takes to wax eyebrows. 1st bad experience (eyebrows)- the employee talked on her phone the ENTIRE time she was waxing my eyebrows. 2nd bad experience (manicure)- the employee talked on her phone (voice/facetime) for the first 20 minutes of working on my nails. SHE DIDN'T EVEN ASK ME WHAT I WANTED DONE! She must have gathered this information from the employee who greeted me when I entered. Actually, she couldn't be bother to speak to me until AFTER my nails were all painted. And that was only to tell me the cost. I was so furious, that I almost walked out before she began painting my nails. This was the worst nail experience I have ever had. Final bad experience (eyebrows)- This woman couldn't even be bothered to PUT HER SHOES ON let alone end her phone call! Do you know how terrifying it is to have someone wax your eyebrows while being distracted with a phone call?? She took off way too much of my eyebrows. (luckily, it doesn't look terrible) I quit. I went there today with my 4 year old daughter to get her nails done for her first day of preschool. We drove from Ohio just to get her nails done for the first time. We just wanted a simple paint job. We were turned away and told that they didn't have time for her quite rudely might I add. There was no one in the waiting area and it was hours before closing. There were other children getting their nails done but I realized that we were the only people of color there. Not sure if race played any role in why we were turned away but with the way she addressed us it felt as if that may be the reason. My daughter cried and cried and I had to explain that we had to go somewhere else. She asked why they didn't want to do her nails and I had nothing to tell her. Appointment was made for 2:00pm and my friend and I sat in pedicure chairs with our feet in cold water for 40 minutes before we were helped. Once we were, there was no "sorry for your wait" and the man that did my pedicure was looking everywhere but my feet the whole time. I walked in on Wednesday before thanksgiving and they took me right away. Tam was my technician and she was fantastic!!! I got a deluxe pedicure (scrub, lotion, massage, hot stones, and more!) and a regular manicure. They got busier the longer I was there but that didn't make her rush like other places I have been, which was really nice. Normally I would rate it 3 as the service varies by the technician, but I have had a few of them try to over charge. I would go back every 2 to 3 weeks and ask for the same service and it would continuously be the same price with the technicians I recognized and that price also matched the price on their board.. Well after a guy I had never seen before charged me $15 more than usual he kept asking me if that price was OK. I had previously had shellac gel on my nail from another salon out of town and wanted them redone so I came here. They grinded my nails down and they're so thin now that they and the gel on top of them are cracked 1/4 down my nail bed on 3 of my fingers. Very disappointed. read more

Ignore the good reviews on here. I came here with three of my cousins/girl friends to have a nice relaxing mani/pedi before we left for vacation and it was anything but relaxing. Firstly they have a deal to get a regular mani and pedi for $40 which in theory is a great deal. However the lady who did my nails gave me gel nails after I repeatedly told her not to and when the bill came and I questioned her she told me because my nails were long she gave me the gel nails after I said no thank you. Not only was I charged $55 for a service I did not want or ask for but the lady was extremely rude to me. The rest of the workers in the salon were very pushy, trying to get the rest of my group to upgrade and do other things even after we had all politely said no numerous times. I did not bend my finger all the way at one portion so she slapped it so I would bend it. Upon leaving the salon my cuticles started bleeding from how roughly she used her tools on them. Save yourself the hassle and money go to a different salon. I highly recommend Beverly Hills Salon in Banksville Plaza, I always leave happy there.
