This place was recommended to me by a co-worker and so one day last Fall I tried them out by getting an oil change there. I was really pleased with their service, so when my car started acting up recently with some serious engine problems, I felt confident enough in their abilities to bring it to them. After calling ahead, I brought my car over there and walked back to my apartment just around the corner. A couple hours later, the mechanic working on my car made sure to call me and give me an estimate on how much the repairs would cost. Compared to other places (i.e., the dealership!), it was unbelievably cheap. When I got my car, I noticed an immediate difference. The engine was smoother than it had ever been and the pick-up was improved exponentially- much better results than I'd ever received at the dealership. Actually, I think they did more than was required. My only critique would be that they didn't call me when my vehicle was ready (I had to call for an update and found out that the car was ready several hours ago). But overall, these mechanics seem like a good bunch of guys who are honest and have a great work ethic. If you ever need a car repair or even your oil changed, this is the place to go. Far better than any overpriced dealership or crappy Jiffylube.

Looks like they have a very high standard on the vehicles they would like to repair, and if your car is not "good" enough, they will just find a simple excuse and refuse to do the repair. Many reasons can cause their refusal, sometimes they think the car is too old, sometimes they think the mileage is too high, sometimes they think you have already purchased the parts and won't do the repair. When they finally agree to do the repair, they treated rude and impatient to the customer, didn't answer your questions if we have any doubts. Unless I have no choice, I will never go to this place to fix my vehicle. Bad experience. Not recommend.

Not wanting to pay dealership prices, I found these people and took my car in for a minor issue. Also ask them to change the oil and check the fluid levels and basically just check the car over. I was very pleased with the service and the level of expertise. They look my car over gave me a very honest assessment of what was going on and what needed to be addressed both sooner and later. They did a great job of playing out what the vehicle needed in both the short-term and the long term. One thing I appreciate it very much was the fact they did not try and pressure me into any sort of repair at all and we're very honest about what was needed on the vehicle and what needed to be addressed immediately versus what needed to be deferred or could be deferred on down the road. they're waiting area is very very nice with things like water and coffee available free of charge. It's also very bright and nicely decorated. Something I appreciate it because I decided to wait for my vehicle to be serviced on the premises. Staff is really really nice and like I said they're extremely knowledgeable about what's going on and we'll be straight up with you. And for the price, you get excellent service and and honest assessment of what's going on. They are not the cheapest in town, but they're not the most expensive either. I think the value is there and really worth the money. One thing I need to note is that they have a policy of not allowing people to bring their own parts. Some people I noticed in the reviews are upset about this, I for one and not one of them. I understand that they want to know where the parts are source for, if they have a warranty or not, and I'm okay with that. I would highly recommend these people!

I know I could have done the job myself for cheaper, but then I still would have had to get the freon done and I'm at a place where my time is becoming more valuable. After scoping around yelp and google, I decided to try Valet, especially since they're like 5 min from me. They gave me a diagnostic and confirmed the whole compressor was bad. They included potentially having to clean some things out if the compressor had broken, but it didn't and so they took those charges off the quote; that leads me to trust them more on the next job. Overall, it was about $1000 to have the AC compressor replaced. The part itself was nearly $500, which is annoying, but welcome to OEM parts. I know I could have gotten one for half that on Amazon, but like I said, my time is valuable. I dropped the car off on Tuesday and had it on Friday with cold AC. Would definitely recommend Valet.
