My car had a fuel leak that was difficult to find. European Autowerks found it and fixed it, taking care to carefully replace the back seat and clean up afterwards. Though it took two days to complete, the repair was careful and professional. They made a few recommendations for additional repairs based on trouble codes which I refused to authorize, and later found were actually not necessary. Good work by proven professionals. read more

Manny the owner is extremely knowledgeable and in my opinion, very reasonable and reputable. I happen to fall upon this business after my mechanic told me he does not like to work on Range Rovers. Had my car in for a slow coolant leak. Three weeks to get the appointment. As the date for the appointment approached I got no email, call or text to confirm appointment. I take it in anyway and when I got there it seemed like they were surprised or didn't know what I was doing there. Left the car and after not hear from them for four days I happened to be driving by their garage so I had a look. My car was sitting in the middle of a dirt parking lot. I text them asking what's the deal and was told they were waiting for parts information from Braman Porsche (they get their parts from a dealer??). Finally I get the estimate and except that their labor is somewhat cheaper than Braman, parts and extras were about the same. And with Braman I get a nice loaner car and a wash of my car. So, for them to have a look at my car it cost $400--and a month of time. Originally I took it to Braman. They went over the car and printed out a complete itemized list of all the parts and cost of each, as well as the labor. Braman did NOT charge me for that work and in fact washed my car before giving it back to me. After paying the 400 what I got from EMW was a generic print out that explained almost nothing. No parts price or part number. Just "water pump, oil cooler, etc." Prices weren't broken down and neither labor. To make the estimate even more frustrating, they included things like steering wheel sensor and clock error (my second hand has fallen off as almost does with every Porsche in those years). Things that I didn't bring my car in for. As I'm waiting for them to print up my "estimate" bill, in the bay right next to me was a mechanic yelling curses at the car he was working on. "I hate working on these f'ing cars!" Not very professional. Man, I just wanted to get out of there at that point. I might also add that I was in their "lobby" four times. Each time about 15 minutes. During that time I heard no phone ring and saw no other customer. I thought that was unusual. Usually at a garage you hear phones ringing people coming to drop off car or pick up, etc. Summation: Poor communication (from the making of the appointment to having to contact them about my car instead of the reverse), prices and attitudes that gave me the feeling that they really could care less how high your bill is (usually independent guys at least give you the feeling they are trying--heck, even the dealer did that much). That's why I give it one star. I gave another star because they probably do know what they are doing with other cars. I probably would have overlooked all these things and not written this review had they not charged me so much. But, $400 for what I already pretty much knew.? Ouch. Their labor cost are pretty close to what a dealer charges and parts are same price (at least from what I could see from that "estimate". Glad others had good experiences. Maybe it was just bad luck or timing. Incidentally, I'm not one or these customers that complain about everything. I want to support a local business and am a good loyal customer and easy to please, actually. read more

Manny saved me thousands of dollars after my BMW recently malfunctioned, less than a month out of warranty. Thank God I pulled the car out of the local dealership and brought it to European Motorwerks! Not only had the local dealership completely misdiagnosed the issue and tried to gouge me for the repairs, but certain maintenance items they don't include in their "routine maintenance" were the cause of the issue. European car service shops in this area are everywhere - and that's the problem. There are a lot of sharks in business around here and I have run into way too many of them .... until I found Rudy's. My Audi engine was shot (damn that water pump) and I had it towed here at someone's recommendation. Manny, son of the founder, guided me through the whole process, communicating with me everyday on progress made and the estimated costs and date of completion. His estimating ability was spot on on both counts. When I picked up the car, he explained the whole repair, introduced me to the guys who worked on the car, took me through all the actual replaced parts and their faults and matched them up with the invoice. What do you most look for when seeking a skilled, non-dealer, car repair tech? After the obvious things, like competence and a technological knowledge/ability level with repairing the type of car that YOU drive, it's HONESTY and the quality of the work--clearly. At "Rudy's European Motorwerks," in Jupiter, you'll find ALL of these things in abundance. Manny is genuinely the most organized and one of the more knowledgeable auto-technical wizards that I've ever encountered. He's not a grease monkey--quite to the contrary, he's got a BS in Mechanical Engineering, coupled with humility and a huge ability to figure out what isn't already present in his vast memory and experience bank. He's a patient man, who listens carefully, invokes his wisdom through a detailed & focused approach, and runs a shop that's part library (THREE FULL WALLS of immaculately kept research books, manuals, and other assorted wisdom,) and part Automobile Hospital. His being from a rich Greek-American heritage also places him within a strong tradition that celebrates knowledge, insight, and method. I'm a fan for life...amazed that I got lucky enough (thanks to another Audi-owning Yelper,) to find this gem of a shop. Nothing's too exotic or too "niche" for Manny, it seems. The mechanics are hand-picked, talented, and I trust them...especially Giovanni: a man who clearly has the mindset of an old-world craftsman, along with the determination and dedication to make sure that the job gets done right--I detect a bit of the perfectionist in him, and it pleases me greatly that he's the one working on my 12-year-old Audi A6 BiTurbo. All in all, I simply state that my car and my wife's Acura will NOT be going anyplace else for repairs...EVER. Took my 2010 Volkswagen 2.0 TSI to this guy after 3 days I called him the complaint was rough idle on cold startup he told me there was an oil leak on the upper timing chain cover and it would cost $850 to repair I had just taken it to Tire Kingdom to have the oil replaced they made no mention of an oil leak I park it on concrete every night I'm not seeing any oil on the driveway I asked him if he thought that would fix the complaint of rough idle on cold startup he said he didn't know I told him nevermind it cost me $240 to get my car back the number one reason for the problem on the 2.0 is carbon buildup on the intake valves it was a waste of $240 read more

I have a highly customized 2000 Porsche Boxster that has been experiencing several electrical issues for some time. We were travelling in Jupiter from out of state in a 2006 Porsche Cayenne when we encountered car trouble. I found Rudy on Yelp, and called him to see if we could bring the car right over. The car was undrivabale and it turned out we needed new coils. Although he was booked for the rest of the week, he took the car in, and had everything fixed in 2 days. Rudy was proffesional, courteous, extremely knowlegeable, and very easy to work with. In Manny I Trust! My 2007 Audi A4 was in serious need of repair. Leery of the stigma that follows women needing repair on any car, I set out to find a mechanic on my own.
