Came here for a wax appointment. Arrived about 10 minutes early. Was taken back shortly after my appointment. I came here because I had bought a wax package in Maryland when I lived there but the service at this location was not great. Left with wax still on my body and hair. I've been going to the largo location since the st Pete location shut down (I miss that location so much!) Largo location has been great, receptionists are hit and miss (some are super friendly while others look like they are bothering you just by existing) I've had 3 different aestheticians, all wonderful. Erica is the best and my preferred- she's so friendly and welcoming. Talks the whole time which makes getting Brazilians less awkward! They have been taking all safety precautions like plexiglass in the waiting room, temperature checks before your appointment, and a strict mask policy. read more

I'll keep this short. No need to give the employee this post is regarding anymore ammunition. But I would like to post a complaint One of your employees, Ms Rogers, was very rude to me this morning. Sent over 20 text messages about how I'm a bad person, and she hopes I die, and she doesn't care. And when I mentioned "chill out before your work knows", her response was... "good. I don't want to go". Your services were actually good. But the fact you have an employee that bullies someone of the LGBTQ and mental health society, as a staff member, and they just do not care. So they send threatening messages and cynical things. I don't suggest you keep this person as a staff member. But hey, maybe the whole company is anti-LGBTQ HATERS AND MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS *problem contributors" Thanks for the verbal abuse from your employee, who doesn't care for their job to begin with. Fine in a pinch but not my first choice. I've had services from multiple people at this location and it's always less than satisfactory. I'm always left with a lots of missed hairs and broken hair that comes back up a few days later. I'll chalk that up to the wax and their fast wax technique. But they always have same day availability and their staff is always super friendly. read more

I've been a loyal EWC customer since 2014. I've moved a few times so I've been to salons in several states over the years. My experience (s) in Largo FL are by FAR the WORST!! I felt like they were the saddest bunch I've come across! They were so bothered that I was there & made just existing feel uncomfortable. Guys, I'm nice! I tip 20%+ I'm easy to please. I'm low maintenance as far as being a guest. I'm literally FB friends with some of my waxers from over the years. Megan made me feel like such an inconvenience. I'm so sad the St Petersburg location closed. The St Pete team was friendly & warm. It's too bad that the Largo team hates their jobs & is inconvenienced by guests coming in for the services they provide. RUDE & UNKIND. read more

EWC LIES to their customers!!!! Today I go to EWC Largo 10:30 AM to get a quick wax, I'm there on time and ready to go. Only to find out that I got put as a "No Show." When I asked why they told me they told me I was booked for 10:15. I said that's impossible. I have an email proving that my appointment was for 10:30, so I showed the woman the email. She told me there was nothing she could do and the earliest appointment was 215/230. EWC LIES to their customers and books them for whenever is convenient for them, not their customers. Worst wax Ive ever had. After she was "done" I asked the girl if she was going to the obvious left over hairs? I couldn't believe she said she was done. After she did a poor job of cleaning the rest up as soon as I got home I noticed I had broken out in hives I even bought some of their wax line products and it clogged my pores and now I have a few ingrown hairs... I got this wax 9 days ago and my hair already needs another wax. Im so upset Ive never had even close to this bad of an experience before. You could not PAY ME to visit this facility again. Since moving here from NYC, I was hesitant to try this place, as I had my trusted ladies in NY who did all my eyebrow threading and waxing etc. But these ladies have impressed me! Great service, (I love Meghan!) and great results, fast. All you can ask for in a waxing salon! Plus their products are on point, pick up the exfoliating wipes (trust me!) and the ingrown hair serum. I have been going here for a little over 2 years now and I can't believe I haven't written a review yet. But I need to take some time to BRAG about my wax specialist Erica at the Largo location who is outstanding. She is so amazing that I will NEVER go to anyone else ever again. I usually get a Brazilian wax and they are obviously not a walk in the park. But I don't know what Erica does that makes it not so painful. She must have some secret technique. Erica is so down to earth and we just chat about our life and laugh through the entire appointments. She's like my personal therapist and friend at the same time. Always a joy seeing her. This time I added on my eye brows. Iv never had them done before and she made them actually look like twins and not distance cousins like they used to be. I was so amazed! Erica alone deserves these 5 stars. So if you're reading this, please request Erica, you'll thank me later. I used to just see whoever was available at the time I made my appointments, but then I had Megan for the first time and now I go out of my way to book with her. She has a very light tough but is the most thorough of anyone else I've ever had, and she is sweet and easy to talk to as well. I went to get my Arms waxed and while laying down I started asking General Questions about the the wax they use and other obvious questions anyone is going to ask being a first time client. The Lady did not even know and was very hesitant to answering my questions as if she didn't know herself. Then when she walked me out to the lobby she gave me and serum to prevent ingrown hair, and didn't even explain to me why i wanted it or how it would help she just expected me to buy it. Then they charged me for someone else services If I wouldn't have noticed it while walking out I would have had to come back and waste my time for their error. and they didn't even apologize. I've gone many many other places, to Tampa, St. Pete all over prices low to high to get Brazilians done, and EWC are by far are the best, both experience and quality (meaning even after my wax was done - which says A LOT - trust me for someone who has been getting Brazilians done for awhile now). Excellent customer service and experienced staff. I'm they have locations nation wide, if I ever need a last minute wax too! You get a reliably CLEAN wax, and sanitation is everything - especially when it comes to Brazilians. Megan at the Largo, FL location is my go to girl, she is great - 100% recommend her! Got a Brazilian done with Brittany, my first one at EWC. She was very fast but left a lot of hair, she tweezed some after I said something but when I got home I noticed a bunch of little patches it was horrible. Small pieces of wax left too. I almost bought the 12 mos package thank God I decided to wait. I do NOT recommend this place, spend a little extra & go somewhere that is dedicated to their work. read more

Worst experience ever. Waited over 40 min past my appointment time and saw people coming in and going straight back to get waxed. After being fed up with waiting 40 min I asked if I could just cancel my appointment and the girl said "yeah I'm sorry" not once did either of them tell me it was going to take longer to be seen or even try to help the situation. I booked an appointment for 3:45 on a Sunday (they close at 4). I called 30 minutes ahead of time letting them know that I wouldn't be there on time and if that was a problem. The women I spoke with told me if I showed up after 3:55, they would have to rebook me. I let her know I would try to get there. It was raining very hard so I got there at 3:54 but when I went in she said that it was 3:55 and they wouldn't be able to take me, even though the procedure I was getting done only takes about 5 minutes. I understand that it's a Sunday and they wanted to get home, but I would've liked for them to tell me that would be an issue so I didn't have to drive half an hour to be turned down. When I asked for a place that would be open that I could get my wax done today, the women recommended Massage Envy. Massage Envy doesn't even do waxing! read more

I received my first eyebrow wax here about a year ago and loved it, so I bought a package. Big mistake. Since then, the girl who did such a great job was "let go" and 4 new waxers later, the "esthetician" thought it was ok to wax them twice!?! (Mind you, I have super small brows that barely need the first wax.) This hurt like all hell and was red and irritating for about a week and then peeled. I called to speak to a manager on 3 separate occasions and STILL have not received a call back. I have worked in the beauty biz and have a lot of sympathy for new places, but this is just ridiculous.
