I went in to get an eyebrow tint only. I have no eyebrows and wanted an enhanced look. My eyebrows are extremely thin. The tint had no effect whatsoever on my eyebrows.I got an upper lip wax that I didn't ask for but I understand upselling. The young lady that helped me said the tint service should be explained over the phone to the client. I left spending over $50 for eyebrows with no noticeable result. The total charge was $63. I had to ask for a receipt to get a detailed breakdown of the charges. I'm disappointed in the services received and wouldn't refer anyone. read more

My 17 year old daughter has gone here for waxing- the first time I had to sign for her. No pricing was discussed. The 2nd time she went alone. They discussed packages but I was not present. I don't believe a 17 year old should be persuaded to buy packages at $350 up. I went with her today and the manager, contacted by phone, refused to give any discounts.. The person at the desk kept pushing for the most expensive package. The services are way overpriced and we will not go back. read more

I'm not sure why this location gets bad reviews. I had a really great experience. The staff was very friendly and attentive. My esthetician was Dorris. She was PHENOMENAL. She kept me calm during my Brazilian (I have a low pain tolerance). She worked at a good pace and was very very thorough. Reading some of the other reviews I'm actually really surprised as my experience was extremely pleasant! Upon entering I was greeted with a smile and in less than two minutes my wax specialist Tileah escorted me to the back. Although I've been getting waxed for decades because of her gentleness I agreed to add two firsts to my experience! Tileah talked me thru each step of the process which not only made me more comfortable but also built trust. She was extremely thorough and exhibited great cleanliness. Afterwards she escorted me back to the front and showed me an array of products that she recommended for the upkeep of my waxing. Upon checking out the manager who's name I don't remember but I will never forget how patient she was in taking the time to go over a few packages they offer without getting frustrated when I asked her to repeat herself. Tried this new European wax center in Linden, Nj for the first time. As I now live out of state. Customer service upon arrival was very nice and the wax technician were nice as well I just don't think she was very well trained at her job. As I have been waxing for a very long time and that was the longest wax session I have ever been through. I am a Busniess owner as well and support local businesses but staff needs to be trained properly especially when dealing with customers bodies. My skin was extremely irritated and large enflamed bumps all over my chest. The wax I don't believe was fully melted & smooth it felt as it was pulling on my skin instead of going on smooth. I will try again soon with a different wax tech. read more

Location is nice and clean. Service is good. But this location is the worst when it comes to taking you in on time. Today was the second consecutive time I had to sit and wait for more than half an hour for my appointment. I used to go to Garwood and started coming here for convenience but this was my last time. Nice clean location. Customer service was great from the time I called for my appointment to when I came in. It was my first time coming to this location. The woman who did my bikini wax was very nice however I was not satisfied with her work. I wish I noticed it while I was still there so she can fix it but I didn't. I'll give this place another try but next time with another person. read more

So today I went in to get a Brazilian wax for the first time ever & I was immediately greeted by the receptionist at the front desk she was very kind & took her time by explaining all the different types of services & products that they offer. Then when it was my turn my wax technician named, Shavonne was very helpful & kind & explained what products she was using on me & I was very pleased with the service. This is in regards to customer service NOT a wax service. Prior to covid I did initiate a pre wax pass. Unfortunately, I was furloughed, didn't want to add more expenses to myself. Upon the reopening of European Wax Center, I contacted to cancel the pre wax pass but was informed by (I believe her name is Nia) that the payments will not being until September 2020. So I figured I will not cancel it just in case I will be able to work again & handle my finances better by then. On July 3rd, there is a pending charge for the Pre wax pass so I called, was left on hold for a very long time to be told that the manager will call me when she comes in within the half hour. Still waiting on the call back as I type this review. I've called back & was told the same thing. I am trying to avoid going to the place because I don't want to have an attitude but the customer service is horrid. I cannot wait to cancel this wax pass & be completely done with the location. This is good customer service. I understand being inundated with calls after reopening but don't BS a customer stating there will be a call back & there is none. It's bad enough I was told a lie about the charge but I can't even cancel by email or online service, which is all I need to do. Cancel & move on. This is not the 1st bad experience with how customer service but it will be the last. Think I learned my lesson read more

Excellent place. Just had my first wax with Shavonne and she's amazing. She explains you everything through the process and distracts you from the pain. The location is clean and modern. The girls in the front are polite and always explain you everything with a smile. They do offer their products and memberships but they are not pushy at all. read more

I had been going there for years as a loyal customer. Because of a front desk mix up that they blamed on me (their loyal customer), they put me on a walk-in-only list. This meant I couldn't call to schedule appointments with the girl I had been seeing for years, instead I had to literally walk in & see if there were ANY appointments available. Rude, disrespectful & militant. Even their own staff complains how the company treats them unfairly with minimum pay, yet charges the customer outrageous fees. read more
