I've been going to this location for awhile now. The location is always clean and the customer service has always been pleasant. I've only gone to Brenda because once I find a good esthetician I try to stick with them! She's the sweetest! She makes you feel comfortable, she listens to what you want and I'm always pleased with the outcome! My only gripe is that I wish she worked more days! Hence why I only gave 4 instead of 5 stars. Mixed emotions writing this review. The establishment was beautiful and very clean, very modern. The front desk lady was very sweet, and my waxer, I don't quite remember her name possible Brittney or Briana, she was amazing. BUT the Brazilian wax was SO PAINFUL, like I cannot believe I put myself through that. I recommend the establishment but I personally would not put myself through that again, and the days to follow I got these really painful bumps, and now almost two weeks later I have terrible hair bumps. I hate to leave a poor review because I normally have friendly service when I check in. But this past weekend I was really disappointed and left in a terrible mood after visiting this location. When I arrived 5mins before my appt I was checked in and I wish I was greeted with a smile like I usually do but the woman who was there barely acknowledged me, didn't give me eye contact and under her breath said "your checked in". I sat down and proceeded to wait for the waxer to come out. 10 mins. Go by then 15 mins and no waxer. I just figured she was running behind and didn't say anything. Mind you I'm the only person waiting this whole time. Meanwhile, a man walks in they check him in and within a few mins the waxer comes out and calls his name. Now I'm confused so I ask if I got my times wrong. Another woman at the front desk says "what's your name" then says "that's strange let me go see". She leaves and I wait some more. She eventually comes out and says "im sorry but the waxer didn't see your name on her iPad. She's been having technical issues all day. Let me get you with another waxer". More minutes go by, now it's been 25mins since I've been waiting. Then the first woman says to me "would you like me to reschedule you for tomorrow?" I was then pissed because it was now 30mins and I guess there was no other waxer? Tbh I get there were technical issues (it happens), but I was more upset how I was ignored that whole time waiting. If I hadn't said anything after the guy was seen, who knows how long before they would have wondered why this woman is sitting in the waiting area. I was told that the front desk girl was new and I get not knowing how things work but come on please hire friendly self aware people. Came in today for a lower leg wax. I've never gotten my legs waxed before, so I was a little nervous going in. I expressed my worthiness to the receptionist when checking in, and she gave me her honest expectations that I might encounter. When it was time to go in the room, the lady that did the wax walked me through the process and got started. She said if I can get through a Brazilian wax, this will be a piece of cake! She was right! It was a breeze! My legs get really bad ingrown, so I'm hoping waxing will help eliminate them. When I was finished, Brittney checked me out. This used to be my go-to location. The staff is very friendly - especially the reception staff. But I recently switched to a new location and I am even happier. I had tried multiple waxer at this location and multiple times the wax was too hot and was burning me. This resulted in cyst-like irritation bumps, which were not fun. My appointment was at 5:45 and as I was walking in late at 5:54, I got a text cancellation. The front desk woman told me all the waxers were already on lunch and there was nobody available to help me. I made my appointment online for a Brazilian without any issues. Lots of open time slots because this place is brand spanking new. Lucky for me, as a grad school student, I qualified for the student discount and bought a set of 4 sessions. Best deal, ladies... do it. Only downside is parking. I just don't like how its angled parking in front so close to heavy traffic coming in to the business plaza from Lakewood. Saturday I was serviced by BRITTANY and everything was going fine until she got the hair wax stuck between my labia and tried to play it off, l now have irritation down there. I tried to give her the benefit of doubt that maybe it was an accident, but then she states "you have a lot of hair" um DUH ... that's why I came to get waxed !!! She was rushing and allowing the wax to get stuck on my clitoris and it was just very uncomfortable as the wax was already too friggin hot but on my clitoris????!!! To have an attitude because YOU ARE RUSHING and you were called out on it is WILD! The nonchalantness of the employees is a driving force to lose customers and should definitely be looked into. She waxed my mon pubis and left hair in certain places, did the bikini line and left several pieces of hair. I had her refrain from touching me and when I left out she slammed the door. Nice! The nonchalant approach is very disheartening as I wasn't rude or obnoxious, just assertive and direct about the service I was provided. Even though they had someone else service me the job needs a touch up and I feel as if I was tortured. If I wanted the sensation of plucking I would have asked my man to pull hairs out one by one. Highly disappointed as I have been there plenty of times. Guess that's what I get for slowing "Any" specialist to touch me. The African American woman with blonde braids and Dallana were the only apologetic staff members who seemed sincere and showed remorse for their colleague, the others seemed as if they didn't care much. Very Disappointed. Going on vacation and decided to help myself to a Brazilian wax. Researched a few different places and this place seemed to have good reviews. So I went with it. I typically stick with sugar waxing but reviews led me to this place. I booked a first time visit and received half off a Brazilian. I am glad it was half off. I would not pay the $62 full price tag for what I received today. Wendy did my wax. Not very talkative and I struggled to keep her engaged in conversation. I did apologize for being on my phone (I was taking care of a few pre travel priorities) but I still attempted to have a conversation while on my phone. She put on the hot wax without warning me and started waxing without warning. This was not only shocking but painful, I didn't have time to brace for the hot wax or the yanking of my hair. She only explained after care because I asked. There were very awkward silent moments. She didn't try to distract me or make me feel comfortable at all. Making for an extremely painful and uncomfortable waxing experience. As for the actual wax, I have multiple hairs still left. She seemed very rushed to get through the wax. I have been to many different places and they take the time to pluck out ingrowns or stubborn hairs that won't come out with the wax. I'm pretty irritated at the left over hair. I'm not smooth at all. This is the first time I've EVER not been left smooth after a Brazilian. She did not take the time to make sure I was happy with the services. Tried some new areas for waxing today, and I'm happy to report that it was not as bad as I thought it would be! My pain tolerance is moderate, so perceptions of pain vary in comparison to others. Giselle was my aesthetician, and definitely awesome! Talked me through the whole thing and put me at ease. After all was said and done, she informed me of the aftercare and what the next few weeks would look like. Tbh, I'm already stoked for my next appointment, lol. I'm surprised I've gone so many years without waxing. I wonder how much razor burns and ingrowths I would have saved myself from. The rest of the staff is also very nice and welcoming. The services are super expensive for what they are, the esthetician I had definitely didn't give you bay privacy in the beginning or after to change or ask what you thought, and I felt rushed in and out. I went in after 2 months of not getting wax and she made a painful experience enjoyable the convo we had was funny and I just felt like I've known her for years.
