I've been going to EWC for years and have been very spoiled by the fantastic customer service and overall quality of treatment. Since moving into the area, I cannot be happier with this location and I've been to very many. Upon walking in, the front desk staff is always warm and welcoming. Your experience truly begins with these guys. They are very kind, friendly and always manage to accommodate my next reservation, even with my crazy schedule! I almost don't want to leave after my wax because I want to stick around and chat with them. I've even shared some great conversation with the manager, Allie, who is as sweet as pie. As for the waxers, they are A+. I've seen a couple of different girls and have been impressed with each of them. Although I love all the waxers I've been with, if you are new to this location I have one word of advice for you: TAMIKA. I never like to play favorites but she is top tier! First time at EWC. The front desk woman was sweet and the waxer was friendly. She did a good job on the shape of my eyebrows (although much, much, much more painful than I've ever experienced in my seventeen years of having my eyebrows threaded and waxed). After, while at home, I noticed I had lingering raw red marks in the shape of the wax that was ripped off. Whatever wax they applied or stuff afterwards also made me break out INTENSELY I looked like a hormonal teenage girl on my trip to see in-laws. These aren't just minor irritation bumps, but full blown acne like when I hit puberty twenty years ago. 1) wish they let me know about the pain - would've taken advil before. 2) I wish i knew about the breakouts because I would have gone to my old waxer in another county where I used to live. Will be canceling my next scheduled appointment. Positives: wonderful staff, clean establishment, good pricing Negatives: It's is not a pain ever experienced with eyebrows (and i have several tattoos and body piercings). If you have sensitive skin, beware for epic breakouts. Only go if you have a long weekend to mend your skin after or are good with wearing a paper bag or ski mask for several days. The wax they use is fantastic - I've never had so little irritation- and the waxers are very good. Place is very clean. Front desk not that efficient. My main issue is the wholly insufficient lighting: high ceiling lights only, no additional task lights in the room or available (I've asked). Have light hair? There WILL be misses. Went here last week for my very first time and this is definitely now my go to for waxing. I saw Courtney and will ask for her again. Pleasant and outgoing which makes the experience better. My first Brazilian was awkward and conversation less making it seem like a surgical procedure. I've had a few since then and my experience here is right under my seemingly life long aesthetician whom I used for years before moving to NJ. I did have a few hairs missed there and on my underarms but given that the hair missed was very light colored I can understand how it wasn't noticed. As someone who used to go to several different EWC and generally knows how things work within the company, this location has been the worst experience. :-( the first time I went, the waxer was inexperienced and barely pulled any hair from my eyebrows, despite going over the are FIVE times. When I called the location and left a message to complain, no one ever returned my call. Tried calling in today to make an appointment for a Brazilian and was spoken to with such an attitude by the Guest Service Associate that I simply had to hang up. Disappointed! I've been going to Joan at EWC for a couple years. She is great and the wax is perfect! Getting waxed can be uncomfortable but not with Joan. First time at a European Wax. I heard good things from my friends in NY. So I decided to try them. I asked for my brows and upper lip to be wax. I felt not all the hairs that are very visible are removed. She did it really quick and it makes me wonder if she can checked to make sure she got everything. I find myself plucking the rest myself when I got home. This is not my first time getting wax. The other smaller stores I went did a better job imo... and less expensive. I am shocked at the good reviews EWC got specifically stating cleanliness and professionalism. Like other reviewers, I too had Leslie. The first thing I noticed when we walked back to the room was how absolutely filthy it was. There were little curly q's (hair) on the floor as well as other various particles such as dirt, dust etc. Leslie was nice but I was a little turned off by the fact that she joked about another client she had that day, makes me wonder what she'll say about me. It wasn't until I got home that I realized I still had pieces of leftover wax all over me and stray hairs all over the place. After a few not so great visits, I gave this place one more try and I have to say was pleasantly surprised. Everyone was very nice, welcoming and professional. I didn't have an appointment and luckily didn't have to wait long (I'm sure they're busier during the summer months). The room was very clean and my wax specialist Lori was very nice. I saw Jessica for a Brazilian and left very happy. I actually decided to buy a package based on my experience with her. She took her time and made sure she got everything. I asked for a triangle and she got it just right. She took the time to get any hairs she missed with tweezers. We talked a little during the process, but she made me feel comfortable enough that it didn't feel awkward during the quiet moments. Overall, I was more than satisfied with the results. The waxers do a good job but the front desk is completely overwhelmed. The main number is a log jam. Most times get a busy signal or the voice mail box is full. When a real person finally picks up the hold time on average is in excess of 20 minutes. I try to book online but sometimes there is confusion when I arrive for my appointment. read more

The first time I went there I had a great experience. The ladies at the desk tried to get me to buy the package and I only wanted one time. I wish it was a little less expensive too. They did recommended some products which actually worked really well! The second time I went there I did not like the person who took care of me. I've had two experiences years ago that did not go well. Finally, thanks to a friends recommendation, I tried one last time. My friend told me to ask for Tina. Third time was a charm ! Tina made me feel completely comfortable and talked me through the whole thing. The least painful Brazilian I've ever experienced. Waxing is like getting your hair done, you won't just go to anyone. *updated* - despite the comment below, my name is not Elizabeth and nobody has reached out to me... This place has gone down hill in a hurry, organizationally speaking. Tamika and Lindsay are still wonderful and the staff is friendly but it's a total disorganized mess. When the snow storm hit a few weeks back, they were apparently closed for two days and so nobody called to either confirm NOR cancel appointments. I called and the mailbox was full. Even after they reopened, no call for my canceled?/missed? appointment to reschedule. I eventually walked in because whenever I called it was busy or it went to the full voicemail. I told the staff and the one gentleman actually said 'oh none of us know the code for the voicemail!' I mean, seriously? How about get it reset? You are a business that just doesn't check your voicemail? Cool. I booked an appointment and then had to reschedule due to a work conflict. When I showed up 2 days later for my rescheduled appointment, it wasn't there. The very sweet receptionist said she would squeeze me in but what that really means is that I got pushed to the next open appointment an hour later and just sat waiting in the interim. I'm so disappointed because I just reupped my wax package that I am pretty sure I can't cancel. Total shame for a once excellent business. read more

Alyssa transferred from the EWC I used to go to and you guys are so lucky to have her! I booked my apt with her, or I should say I was so blessed to have booked my apt with Alyssa. She is very professional, funny, honest and very good at what she does. When I found out she was leaving it was like going through a bad breakup, no joke! She is now over 45 min from me but I plan to make the trip just to see her. When I used to think Brazilian I used to think pain! Well not anymore! The wax they use is amazing and top quality and well Alyssa makes it as painless as could be. She's so easy to talk to it's so much cheaper then therapy. I've been going to European wax in Middletown for a while now and they usually do a decent job on my eyebrows and upper lip. Today I had a waxer I've never seen before. While I was getting waxed I felt a lot more pain than I normally do. After she waxed my eyebrows they felt like were on fire and felt like they were bleeding. Normally they pull the wax off quick but she peeled it off slowly almost felt like she was peeling off my skin. Which turns out she did. Almost 12 hours later both of my eyebrows and upper lip are still completely raw. Burning, bright red, and so so painful. Not to mention there's still stray hairs she missed!!!
