To start, Zanita was phenomenal!!! From the front desk to the treatment room I felt that things were clean and attractive. Schedule time got changed. After arriving the receptionist joked about she should have called out too, while playing on her phone at the counter. Then the specialist came out and they spoke about me like I was not there, then informed me that I can only get two of the three services I had booked for. Best experience I've had in a long time! Had a bad experience at another local salon down the road but I'm so glad I took my business elsewhere. I called to see if they could squeeze me in last minute (called around 6pm) and spoke with Amber (absolutely amazing receptionist by the way, such a sweetheart). She was able to get me in for a 7:15 appointment. I get there and from start to finish had the best experience. I was serviced by Ally by far the most knowledgeable person to ever do a wax (been getting them done for over 10 years).Quick and painless, great product knowledge and gave amazing aftercare advice. Came here for the first time to get my first Brazilian wax done by Ms. Latoyia and I am more than happy with the service overall! She made sure I was relaxed and ready to be serviced and it was a breeze overall, considering that I'm a newbie to waxing. The ladies at the front desk were beyond stellar. My wax lady was Patricia. Very professional she has been in the business for more than 20 years, so I can remember. She studied in 3 countries so that made me feel so much better. Well, really ZERO stars! I gave EWC a second try using a different technician after speaking to the manager. This girl Susan ripped the skin off the backs of my thighs bc the wax was sticking. After the first pull. I said "ouch! It's sticking because you forgot to sprinkle powder first." To which she replied "oh I don't use powder" so she continued. The I said again "ouch! If you would use a little powder it wouldn't stick" to which she replied " oh it's just the humidity, been having a lot of trouble this week bc of it". She bruised me in several places bc she would take the wadded up used wax to press down really hard to try to remove wax residue. I've done this & had others do this as well; but they NEVER pressed that hard. When I explained to her the the muscles in that area behind my knees was tender due to double knee replacement. She still kept on with me saying ow! Ow! OW! I don't understand this! I have always had great experiences with EWC in both Chattanooga & Kennesaw! I had already gone back to Kennesaw to visit my daughter & saw my old technician for my Brazilian. Thank God! So Susan just did legs. read more

Bottom Line- STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! They have no regard for your privacy. You can schedule an appointment with one esthetician what you have become comfortable and you will get to your appointment to find out that they have scheduled you with someone else. Since I live 40 minutes away I agreed to let Becky wax me. Not everyone is ok with new people seeing their private parts. A heads up would have been nice when they called to confirm my appointment 2 days prior to my appointment. The receptionist was extremely nonchalant, she could give 2 cents about how I felt and never offered an apology. But had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to leave a tip. The manger at the mall blvd location customer service sucks. Customer service should be her top priority. I'm a regular customer and I will not be returning to any European Wax center if this is the type of people they hire as a manager. I received a Brazilian wax on 2/27/17 my card was charged twice, the receptionist contacted the manger and she stated she can issue me a refund in 24 hours UNACCEPTABLE. The receptionist contacted the manager again and she stated that she can't do anything until an hour and a half later. Customer service isn't her top priority and she shouldn't be responsible for an establishment if she doesn't know how to treat customers...As a customer I shouldn't have to wait for a refund, I received one service not two and was charged twice for a service plus tip in the amount of $52 read more

I have always liked going here. I have been purchasing the wax packages for a couple of years. I purchased 2 new packages in April while I was finishing up with my old packages. I used them once in July then I got sick and started chemo. After trying to talk to the owner/ manager for 4 weeks she would not call me back. Finally one of the girls that answer the phone called me and told me she would refund me for the packages (even gave me a total amount of $748). After waiting 4 days for the refund I called back and was told that all they can do is give me a gift card. I am not able to wax due to the chemo treatments(trust me I would rather not be sick and be able to use the packages). I ask to speak with a manger and they said no was available and to call back. Do not use them due to the poor management and customer service. There are some better day spas around I am sure. read more

So I was thrilled to find a EWC near me in Savannah. So I made an appointment for my usual full face, Bikini (Brazilian) and legs and it was so easy. The receptionist was super friendly, and I read some past reviews and decided to use Becky from this location in Savannah, and I was thrilled!! She was amazing, so knowledgable and really made me feel so comfortable. Since I have been using EWC for over a year now, I knew what to expect so it was not new to me, I was so grateful that the level of service was spot on! Good Job EWC in Savannah!! I recently was waxed by Tierra who was so nice, funny, and most importantly knew what she was doing. I have already rescheduled with her and am happy I found my waxer while we are in Savannah. However after my most recent experiences with this wax center I can not recommend them. Tierra my original waxer was wonderful but then left this center for reasons i completely understand. The mismanagement of this center has resulted in a very high turn over rate and lack of good customer service. I have had it happen 3 times now where I schedule an appt with a certain waxer and then had my waxer changed with out contacting me. I understand that sometimes waxers are out/unavailable or have left the company. However to not contact the client to see who they would like to reschedule with is poor management and customer service. I called today to confirm my appointment (2 days from now) and was told it was with someone different. I was never called. I asked to switch to someone different and was told I would have to book a different day and time then. read more

I hate that I'm leaving a review almost 2 weeks after my initial visit but here it goes. For starters, I'm new to the Brazilian wax life and while I completely understand this is not a "delightful experience" I just wasn't very satisfied with the service I received. I've always been interested in going but just never got around to it and quite frankly been too afraid to commit. Soo made an appointment for Friday, couldn't make that so I rescheduled for Saturday at 5. From the start, I explained to the woman who took my call on Saturday that this would be my first time. She was very sweet and assured me that the ladies were all trained and would be great. When I made it to the location I was relieved to see that the ambiance was pleasant and inviting. However, the staff didn't seem very friendly. After checking in, I was greeted by Becky with a very generic hello. Walked down the hall to my room where I passed a few other employees that stared me down but did not speak until I said hello. Finally, inside of my room, again I inform Becky that this is my first time. She tells me to undress and get on the bed in the frog position. Again, first time and I'm completely ignorant when it comes to anything pertaining to a Brazilian wax. Apparently, my frog position was incorrect so she goes on to adjust my legs and makes this face as she's looking at my body. "You should've exfoliated" she says. She goes on to say, "I'm going to try but I don't know, I'll do my best". lol again this is my first time and I had no idea what to expect or how to prepare. I'm clearly nervous and I ask if my partner can come to the back with me, she says no and proceeds to place the wax on my inner thighs. No warnings, no nothing. She then picks the hard wax to get a grip and then yanks it off. Again, no warning or conversation. I figure I'd attempt to make conversation to ease my nerves. The conversation go as followed; Me: So how long have you been waxing? Becky: Umm almost 4 years. Me: Okay, do you enjoy it? Becky: I do. I just don't like hurting people. Me: So, it hurts? Becky: Yes! Especially the first time. It's not fun. Me: (silence) At this point I'm completely freaking out and I'm super uncomfortable. I tell Becky thank you and I wouldn't be completing my Brazilian wax. After not feeling very welcomed, not being allowed to have my partner come to the back with me, having my right butt cheek burned and being scared shitless by the person that I felt should've made me feel as comfortable as possible. I was over it. I recommend giving new customers a heads up on care before they come in i.e. exfoliating. Be a little more aware of the actual costumer, don't say the experience is painful even if it hurts like hell. I'm not sad to say that I will not be returning. read more

Three stars for not the most comfortable but got the job done. First, I'm sort of a regular at EWC, but this was my first time at this location. You gotta know that most of the waxers there are new. So you should expect some hiccups. I wish they'd hire some with more wax experience to get the place off to a good start... pros/cons: Cons: my waxer was new. new to waxing. new to EWC. with that said, my brazilian was less than uncomfortable. i expected pain, but this wax made me realize the value in skilled waxing. my waxer didn't form any "tabs" shortly after laying down the hard wax, so for every single piece she pulled, at least for the first 10-15 seconds before the actual pull, she was clawing and tugging at the hardenzed wax to get a short hold on it. drying wax + stuck hair + constant tugging = pain. this was really the biggest part for me. it was extremely unpleasant. besides this one thing, i could accept the other discomforts (not rapid enough pulls, laying strips over spot at least 3x which was okay except after the first couple of times, the area was very sensitive to the heat of the wax...). another thing. my waxer barely tweezed the sparse leftovers, but when she did, she was kind of slow and caught my skin sometimes. Pros: she got pretty much all the hair off. i usually go for a strip but this time i went full brazilian, and my waxer did a great job getting rid of the strip. i also did appreciate that she didnt rush anything. she might have needed the extra time, but i'm glad she wasnt in a hurry to finish. Despite the uncomfortable experience, I do believe in improvement. I sincerely believe that some additional training would greatly help the establishment. For SURE, EWC should train the waxers to form the tabs. That was by far the most uncomfortable/painful part of my visit. In addition, practice tweezing could benefit the waxers a lot, too. I hope they can accept the constructive criticism because I would be repeat here if it gets better after the next wax or two. read more
