Great experience with this location. I go to a EWC in my town and have a mediocre experience there, frequently there is hair patches I notice after I return home. I was in town visiting and decided to squeeze in a wax. I booked an appointment here pretty last minute via their app (super convenient, highly recommend). I only had to wait a few minutes. The person who waxed me, I can't remember her name, was very friendly but didn't spend the entire session talking my ear off, either. She did a bunch of shit they never do at my home location. She started with a nice dousing of what seemed to be baby powder. I'm not sure what the purpose of that was but I am intrigued. She did her thing and right before finishing, she noticed there were a few patches she missed and went back and GOT THEM. Mind blown. Great experience. read more

5/23/26 @ 5:30pm Mary Kate is BEYOND rude. She put me on hold for over five minutes, when I hung up and called back, she asked to hold again and when I informed her that I just held for over five minutes, she tells me "yea ok I am with a customer." Anyone that has any sort of customer service experience would have asked for information and if the call can be returned in x minutes or if I could call back in x mins as opposed to putting on hold indefinitely. When I called back a third time later asked for her name, when the manager would be in, and also suggested that in the future offering a callback, she stated that she was the manager (which I have a hard time believing as she spoke like a rude teenager) and that their corporate policy was that she had to put me on hold indefinitely as she could not call customers back. If this is really the corporate policy it does not prioritize customer service and your staff should be trained in phone etiquette and customer service. read more

I've had a few waxers at this location, some left and some just aren't the best, but Yulika is truly the best waxer I've ever had. I worked here for about a month and the experience was great until regional manager Melissa very rudely treated me. When I was hired for the job, they were urgently hiring and started me as soon as possible without proper training or orientation but I have been working in this field for over three years so I am a fast learner. It was fine. the regional manager came in for a day and three hours into my shift. I was written up for two things that should have and could have been a verbal warning. I was very caught off guard because I am a good employee that comes in on time and never called off during my time being there. I just went ahead and sign the write up out of respect of the manager. If she said I did something wrong then so be it she was very rude and kept antagonizing me for in rebuttal and I did not give her one because I am respectful and understood that I did something wrong. She left for her shift. She came back 10 minutes later, pointing in my face and screaming at me in the middle of the lobby with NO regard for guest sitting in the lobby saying how I am suspended and I can go. so I felt very offended. By the way she was talking to me and I told her that I choose to resign after that she said "that's why your own mother does not want to hire you." I felt very offended by that comment because she do not know me, or my mom I'm not sure why she felt comfortable to say something like that out of her mouth as a regional manager. She has been nothing but rude to me since the day I've started she never formally introduced herself when I was doing my orientation online instead, she told me to get out of the office because she needed. I feel personally racially attacked by her, and I am seeking to take this matter to corporate. She may think I was just a small black girl from the city that does not know much or she may have assumed that I am uneducated but I will not rest or let this matter go until I get justice, for the way I was treated. read more

I've been getting waxed for close to 7 years and have been to numerous EWC's - I called ahead to this location on my way home for a Brazilian and an underarm wax. The receptionist was friendly and efficient over the phone (it took me less than a minute for her to find my profile, book me, and thank me for calling!). I got to the center about 30 minutes early for my service, checked in, and was taken back about 5 minutes later. My specialist was Alma and my service was phenomenal. Not only was she sweet and friendly, she was quick, thorough, and almost painless. I was smiling and LAUGHING during a bikini wax and walked away with no stray hairs or wax stuck anywhere. I guess you missed the part where I have been going there for over 2 years, right? And in the 2+ years I have been going there, NEVER was it so quick. Also, she didn't even do the middle between my brows!!! So the type of wax is no excuse. And, you're supposed to offer to fill in the brows at the end which was also not offered. I'm sitting in the waiting area right now and figured I might as well write a review. This place deserves all the stars for one person, Yulika. This. Woman. Y'all. First off, I used to go to the Willmington location and stopped because the front desk staff seemed to exist in a constant state of irritation. So this location also wins for the friendly front desk staff. Okay but back to Yulika. She must see so many people in the weeks in between my appointment with her, but she still picks up right where we left off. She talks to you through the whole appointment so you feel relaxed. I know getting a wax can be nerve wracking for some, especially depending on where the wax is happening, but Yulika has always made me feel comfortable. She makes sure that she gets all the hair off (Willmington location had a big problem with that as well) and even had real talk with me when it was clear I had stopped exfoliating (it's so important y'all don't skip that step). Because of her talents and customer service I paid for another year of passes. If it's your first time I highly recommend making an appointment with her. And then go get some Chipotle. read more

All I can say is that Cara is absolutely amazing. I started going to EWC last August and got Cara by chance. I'm so glad I did. She is patient, tactful, and utterly hilarious. It's like hanging out with your friend. She does everything she can to decrease the pain and it's obvious she's highly skilled in waxing techniques. I recently moved to NJ and am therefore no longer going to the Wayne location. I have tried two people since Cara...they don't even slightly compare - in quality or pain control. I miss her!! First time visiting this location and my experience was nice with Mary she was as super sweet. I did notice once I got home there was hair leftover. By that time the salon was closed. I called back within a week of my visit and the manager was not accommodating at all. I informed her that there was hair left in areas and told me there was nothing she could do. As of today, I have been to this location twice. I don't just come to get waxed--I go for the Amy experience. She is extremely neat and works quickly. My sessions with her are therapeutic. She always has interesting to talk about, and before you know it, 10-15 minutes have gone by and you're as hairless as a naked molerat! I got my first Brazilian done with her in December. For a moment, I forgot that I was exposing my lady parts because she made me feel like she was an old friend who just just happened to know her way around wax beads. Today, I got my nipples done. This is my favorite European Wax location. I've been a member for over 10 years and stumbled upon this center when I moved to King of Prussia. I originally tried different waters that I didn't love, but once I found Cara I was 100% committed to making EWC of Wayne my location. Cara is SOOO thorough, down to earth and a genuinely nice person. She doesn't hurt me when she waxes like others have in the past and never makes you feel awkward or uncomfortable. Updated review: Tara, the manager, reached out to me after my bad experience. It took her a few times to reach me, but she was persistent, which showed she was serious about making things better (and offering me a free eyebrow wax). I told her I was hesitant about trying that location again, but she offered to do my eyebrows herself. I entered the location and the receptionist jumped out of her seat to greet me and Tara took me back. My eyebrows were in bad shape from the previous wax and from me going in with tweezers. Tara took her time and I could tell that every move she made was deliberate. I'm not sure how she did it, but she fixed my eyebrows and they look fantastic. I'll certainly be returning! --------------------------------------------------- Previous review: I had a pretty bad experience here, which stinks as my work is very close by. First, I made an appointment online. I received a call a couple of days later saying the waxer I made an appointment with wasn't available on that day (I guess the system was messed up). So, I rescheduled with another waxer that the front desk promised was great at eyebrows. Second, my eyebrows look pretty bad. I wondered why the waxing didn't hurt. Well, it's because hardly any hair was removed. The shape is terrible and there are stray hairs everywhere. I feel bad naming the waxer as we all have our bad days, but there's not a chance in hell I'd use her again. I wish I looked closer at the mirror when she showed me. Place was clean and the ladies in the front were polite. Still had the same three issues: 1) the wax was pulled off a slow... When I went home, there was bruising. The pain was worse than the first time and I even took Ibuprofen to help with swelling and the pain before going in. 2) I'm also accustomed to an area being done once, if there are two or three hairs left, just pluck them out, no need to continue putting on a bunch of wax on the same area. I had to tell me waxer to stop and pluck... She was pulling my skin. 3) I like getting a sense of privacy as I undress, it would have been nice if she could step out for a few minutes. (Even though I know she's gonna wax my privates). When I asked for a warm towel to wipe off the wax, she gave me a paper towel with cleanser. And she stood there as I cleaned myself. Very awkward. I made another appointment, NOT with the same person. Not sure if I want to keep it. If I find a better place, I may go there instead. read more

I came to this location before for my eyebrows and enjoyed the experience but this review needs to be updated. I decided to come here for a Brazilian. We all know Brazilians are not fun but thank god this wasn't my first Brazilian because if it was I would never do it again. It seemed like my wax specialist was in a bad mood and not genuinely kind. My wax specialist caused me so much pain that at one point I had to tell her just stop I'll shave the rest. I feel like someone punched my private area and it's a day later. I've been to different EWC many times before for a Brazilian but never had that excruciating pain. She didn't even separate areas to wax she would just throw on wax end then rip it off like she isn't dealing with a sensitive area. She also left tons of wax that I had to remove when I got Home that were stuck to pieces of hair. I will never return to this EWC. I don't want to mention her name but there are other clients that mention not to go to her and i wish I read them before. I am completely traumatized. read more

I've been having appointments with Jessica for about a year and she's always wonderful! She's super personable, and she always makes me feel like we're old friends catching up each appointment. I'm not always a fan of the tweezing that comes along with eyebrow waxes but she knows what I can handle and let's me control the process. I would recommend her every time! I unfortunately had a very similar experience to another reviewer. While the front desk staff was incredibly helpful and kind, my technician left much to be desired. Let's be honest, Brazilians aren't the most pleasant of experiences in general, but when you get home to find that there is a ton of hair leftover after all of that pain, it's a little frustrating. At one point she asked if she could use the tweezers to remove a few stubborn hairs, which was totally fine, but when I got home I found a lot of hair left and a lot of leftover wax. There were also a couple of times when she had to rip the same piece of wax multiple times instead of in one quick rip and I wanted to cry (only being slightly dramatic). I have been going to EWC for a few years now and generally have very positive experiences, but this one was really disappointing. read more

10/10 would HIGHLY recommend EWC at 279 Swedesford road! I am HIGHLY impressed with the staff here and even more so impressed and a forever customer of Alma. I used to get waxed every month at a different wax place and it was always so painful, my hair wasn't fully removed and it would start to grow back within a couple days because it hasn't been removed from the root. My sister invited me to go get waxed with her at EWC. I was soooo apprehensive and nervous because I hadn't gotten waxed in almost two years due to my bad experience with the other waxing place. Alma was soooooo wonderful. She did an absolutely amazing job, and I had very little discomfort after almost two years with no wax. I immediately purchased the bulk wax package. I booked my second appointment a month later and felt almost nothing! I am so amazed myself that I can get such quality service for such little pain! Alma is absolutely the nicest lady, so personable and gentle. She is very attentive and makes sure that the wax isn't too hot. My sister and I, plus our friend are forever customers. I didn't like my experience here. I didn't appreciate that the waxer stayed in the room while I got ready, I have never experienced that before in any setting like this. It's uncomfortable and awkward. I don't like the aesthetic here - namely the exam room type table with paper liner. It was my first time having the type of services I had and told this to my waxer who didn't give me any education or walk me through the process. She left lots of wax spots on my skin. Additionally I wasn't given any after care information. And there are large areas that were missed . I will say the front desk was very friendly but I will never come back. read more
