Stopped in during the week for breakfast. I ordered the pancake special that came with 2 pancakes,…read morebacon, sausage and hash browns. I ordered the confetti pancakes and unfortunately, they did not taste anything life confetti pancakes. My food was very bland. My husband ordered the steak omelet with hash browns and toast, and he said his food was very bland as well. Our service was decent, the older lady was picking up dishes and cleaning, while the server was walking all over the place. Considering the name, I was expecting amazing food. Unfortunately, they missed the mark. We never come to this side of town so we will most likely never come back.

The inside is small, very clean, not fancy, but cozy and the service is fantastic. Everyone who worked there was smiling. They make homemade tamales on the weekend. I had a pork tamale, which was delicious. My wife had a chicken tamale which I tasted and it was also delicious be prepared, They're both a bit spicy. You will not need hot sauce. We also ordered a side of refried beans. I will tell you right now. They are the best I've ever had assuming you like spicy beans they actually made my nose run and I love hot, anyway we'll be going back there again probably just for the Mexican, but the breakfast did look good on the menu I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wanted to try out a new Mexican menu or someone that wanted Mexican and someone that wanted a traditional breakfast they have both.

Their yeast donuts are…read moregenuinely some of the best you'll ever taste, soft, airy, perfectly sweet, and always incredibly fresh. Every pastry I've tried has been delicious, and they offer such a great variety that it's impossible to leave with just one item. The quality is consistent every single visit, and you can tell everything is made with care and tradition. Even when the line is long (and it usually is!), it moves quickly, and the staff is always friendly and efficient. The smell of fresh donuts when you walk in alone is worth the trip. If you're craving top-tier pastries or just want to treat yourself, Long's Bakery never disappoints. An easy 5 stars!

The person who took my order had asked me what color flowers and what I wanted written on the cake. So someone had to have remembered me. The employee then told me it was at the Indianapolis location. So we drove another 30 minutes north to their other location, only to be told the cake was not there either and they had no record of it. We drove a total of 2 hours both ways for a cake that did not exist, when they could have simply told us the truth. We missed our daughter's bday dinner. Do not trust Southport bakery for important orders. Sending someone to a distant location knowing their cake was not there is messed up.

I met a friend for coffee and even with lots of people there it wasn't super loud. Our various coffee options were delicious and we liked the breakfast sandwiches that they offered. Parking…read morewas crazy due to the event and we had to park over by CVS and walk over in the rain, which sucked, but it was fun once we were inside. The back area with most of the booths had too many people in it at all times, which stressed us out. I felt like couldn't really look at everything and often had to wait awkwardly to the side until other people finally moved out of the way. I ended up getting a new permanent bracelet after one of mine broke a couple weeks ago. I hadn't looked at the vendor lineup before coming, but had hoped there would be a permanent jewelry booth there and was very happy to see Golden Era. The owner was so nice and told me that Milk & Honey often lets her come by for events, so that's nice to know when going back to get coffee again. We also got a couple of gorgeous floral shortbread cookies from a vendor and had them as a nice little treat the next day. Despite how busy/packed it was, it was still very fun to have the event to browse while sipping on a coffee. I also loved the booth diversity- a fresh flower booth to make bouquets, cookies, permanent jewelry, antiques, vintage jewelry, a few clothing booths, custom press on nails, candles, a mini bookstore outside, and a pet bandana shop outside as well. For coffee, I ordered The Eddie (sea salt caramel macchiato) and my husband ordered The Milk & Homey (cinnamon + honey). The Eddie was definitely sweeter than The Milk & Honey, but both were very tasty! They had a super cute "whimsy bar" set up at the pickup side of the counter to bedazzle your coffee. This was my first time there, so I'm not sure if this was just for the event or not. We also each ordered a turkey caprese sandwich with a side of kettle chips, but they were a little disappointing. They were supposed to be on sourdough, but came out on white bread instead that kept sticking to our teeth and made the sandwich mush together when biting into it. Would love to come back and try a different sandwich or maybe a baked good next time instead.
