We went to change four tires. This guy was there asked if we have a key lock we said no then he said that they don't have it so we left. We came back two weeks when we get to the shop. I forgot my key lock at home I went back to get it and I left the car with the tires there I drove for 15 minutes and came back and I found all my tires when I got there they're all off of the car I didn't say anything until the guy asked me to move the chair in not in a nice way, so I said no he got upset starts trying to fight make problems front of the customers no respect for the place that he's working for read more

Came here after work on A Monday night, around 4:30-4:45 because my front drivers side tire wasn't holding air. Obviously it must have a nail. Common sense would say yes, because I haven't had an accident, or any sort of a collision that the tire would just stop holding air. This was 2 weeks ago. They said "We took the tire off, did the water test and found nothing" OK. Well, I'm not a tire specialist, but I'm literally putting air in it every time I drive, so something is wrong. Ma'am, we suggest you put the spare on, let us keep the tire and we will see what is wrong with it, BUT NOT TODAY. Not today?! What do you mean? We are closing soon. Bring it back tomorrow. But don't drive anywhere too far. You have got to be kidding me. SO because you are closing you are sending me out on the road with a tire that doesn't keep air? Is that what you are saying? Yes ma'am. Great.. Luckily I had a friend who helped with a temporary fix.. Used the aerosol "fix a flat" since Evans said there wasn't a nail.. It has not lost air since, BUT THEN TODAY, 3-16-22 The sun hit the tire just ever so right and low and behold LOOKIE THERE A NAIL!!! Went to Evan's Tire for a new tire. The estimate was 105$. Midway thru my wait, Im told I need a new TPMS sensor and that they would install it. I ask how much and he said 60$. Cool, no big deal. Took 3 hours for the entire installation to complete. When I'm checking out, the guy says 261$ is the damage. Umm what?? "You told 105 for the tire and 60 for the sensor". He said, "No, 160$ for the sensor." I'm not big on causing scenes but this pissed me off. Of course they would deny saying the original estimate of 60$. I paid the thing off, and on the reciept it says 22$ for labor on the tire, BUT 100$ for labor on the sensor... how is 100$ justified for labor?? Felt cheated. But what the hell am I gonna do at that point.. First and last time going to this place. Edit: 5 minutes after driving away from the place, the new tire is flat. Icing on the cake. Had to pull into the downtown location, to get it fixed. Thankfully, there was no hidden charge. read more

Five stars all the way! I needed new tires on my car ASAP. 100% my fault for procrastinating, but all four needed to be replaced and one of them would only hold air for about an hour and fix-a-flat wasn't fixing this flat. I called in first thing Monday morning half expecting their Buy 2 Get 2 deal to be a bait and switch of some kind, but they had several options in my size that qualified. What's more, they told me to bring it in that morning and they'd be able to take care of it same day. I dropped my car off that morning and told them I needed it back before they closed one way or another. Two hours later, they called and it was ready to go. Service was great, friendly and quick. Been coming to this location for over three years now empire at least two sets of tires from them. Just purchased a new vehicle and happen to run over a nail and they couldn't even plug my tire for free because I didn't buy the set of tires from them. I understand you guys have policies but I've spent over $1000 at your shop with in the last three years. I came here with the intention they would plug it on the house because I've come before and they found me a favor. If I would've known this I would've originally just brought my car to discount tire where they guaranteed to do it for free. All things considered just very disappointed in the customer service today and will definitely not be returning. Came here for 2 new tires. The installer here broke off a sensor, which shredded the inside of tire so I had to pay an outside mechanic to fix it and out that money just cause EVANS DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO INSTALL TIRES. Speak with the manager and they agree to replace their faulty tire and give me $100 credit towards the mechanic bill I paid to fix their mistake. They suggested I use it for an oil change or any future tire repair. Since I didn't need an oil change right then, I agree to use the credit later. Well, fast forward to now, I come back to redeem that credit. The other tire I got at Evans popped on me suddenly and so I went back to get it replaced under the Evans guarantee, which meant a new tire for a $50 installation fee. I tell them apply my credit to the bill. Guess what... they said there was NO CREDIT to my account!!! The manager Eddie remembered me as it wasn't that long ago but says I never had any credit. oh god.... OF COURSE ... these guys say one thing and do the other!!!! Starting from the top down. EDDIE the manager is not a man of his word. Far from! It's hard enough to find a trustworthy tire shop as a woman, but let me tell you, this is the kind of place you want to avoid! They lie, worst customer service, AND the don't know how to fix tires! If you want an endless headache dealing with a dishonest business with poor results, this is the place for you! People always seem to leave reviews only when their service is terrible... but today is a different day... and this is a different kind of review. All of the guys at Evans Tires & Services Sports Arena are simply the best. As a woman going into any vehicle repair establishment, I often go in with an unfortunate expectation that I will either be way over charged or spoken to in a condescending manner. Well Desi and Eddie are two customer service professionals that helped me with my tire issue but also made me feel like a priority during my time conducting the entire  transaction. These guys know their stuff but also run a tight ship. They aren't wasting your time. I got in and out within the hour and was charged less than the quoted price. Now that isn't always the case in every situation when it comes to car repair but I know these guys do their best each and every day to help customers to the best of their abilities. While he did try to sell me on the Pirelli tires they were trying to move (I'm sure his corporate bosses had a lot to do with that), when I told him I wanted something else, he was helpful. Over 4 hours to get tires and an alignment. Arrived at 11:00, tires not done till 3:45 pm. Supposedly, 4 tires for price of two! NOPE! I was charged 599.70. Eddie was the person who helped me. Had an excellent experience with this Evans location this week after blowing out my right rear tire on my Lincoln Navigator. Called on phone, they ordered my tire (that they don't stock), installed it, returned my spare to its proper location under the car, and I was rolling in 45 minutes. Friendly service rep inside the store was super friendly and he and the phone rep I ordered the tire from were very knowledgeable! Just had one of the worst customer experiences in my life at Evans Tire on Midway. Was traveling for work for two weeks, get back today and see one of my tires is flat from a slow leak. Have roadside assistance help get it full and then go to Evans where I bought the tires. Pirelli Cinturato P7 that I purchased thru Evans with a 70k mile warranty. I am about 40k mile in at this point (that's what I was told by desk worker, though he couldn't figure out how to print it, even though he's been working there 19 years!?!, Odd). This worker was so bad, can't believe he's been there 19 years. He came out and said that my warranty was not valid because the tires were too worn! Lol Was rattling off inches off top of his head for tire and warranty in about 2 minutes of looking at it. When I questioned why that was strange all he said was that's he's not trying to argue... Lol. Then was saying whole bunch of nonsense and complaining he was tired. I asked for manager... He went for manager but manager wouldn't come out as the shop was closing in 20 minutes and he was "off the clock." Lol. After this he tries to sell me tires as maybe the most clueless customer service ever. Then rants about being only a desk worker there for 19 years as a way to make me feel bad for him. Then says manager can be in on Tuesday and I can speak then .... I have a bad tire under warranty and I have to wait until Tuesday? Your store is still open ... Sorry I came in at end of the day, but you are still open! I got to my house at 2 pm from 16 hours of travel, found a flat tire, had air put in, risked driving to your shop before you close and you can't help me?!? A loyal customer under warranty?!? This was beyond sad. A positive is that I called Evans in Poway as a potential alternative to answer questions as corporate number was never answered. Mark the Manager answered the phone minutes before they were closing and explained that I will be getting a pro-rated return on warranty if everything checks out. Had great customer service, and I look forward to providing a great review after I take my car up there. Though I live down in Point Loma, lol. Rude attitudes, bad customer service, making up times for when they are going to be done (heard them making fun of customers vocally enough for me to hear). It was the 2 guys at the counter @12 on Saturday the 26th. Check the camera footage if you don't believe me. Also this place doesn't even have a waiting room or somewhere to sit... Andre and his team turned a crappy day into a pleasant experience. After doing a night shift at the hospital, I woke up around 3pm to discover that my tire was completely flat. With only a few hours left till everything was closing, I was stressed out about the possibility of having to keep my car at a repair shop overnight or not being able to find anyone that could do a quick repair. I live only a few blocks from Evans Tire and decided to give them a try after reading a lot of positive reviews. I was able to drop my tire off pretty much immediately after calling in and was told to come back in about two hours since they were still working on some other vehicles. An hour after I dropped my tire off, they called to let me know that my tire was repaired and I could head back over. They mounted my patched tire, offered to put away my spare and sent me on my way. I was pleasantly surprised by how quick, efficient and easy their service was and even immediately called a friend to rave about my experience. Its been two weeks since and I've had no trouble at all with my fixed tire. Their great reviews are well deserved and I'll no doubt be back with any car trouble I have! read more

I could not wait more, I had to put the tire in the car and what was a hole became a rip. I had to buy a new tire for my car. So i had my car towed to their location, no spare in the car...who knew. Rick at the desk said that because i had driven briefly on the rim that they would have to check it out. He said he was 90% sure the tire was no good. 30 minutes later he said "yeah the tire is toast". So he had only 130 dollar tires that would fit the car. I opted to replace both rear tires so that they would match. About an hour had gone by and the tech walks out and said that they should keep the tires that were on the rear of the car there as they were better than what was on the front. That meant that my flat tire was actually fixable, it was on the rear. Rick had been caught in a blatant lie. I walked out and spoke to the tech and he assured me that he could save it. So i am still sitting there an hour later thinking now that we are only patching a tire. Rick said after almost 2 hours that i was ready to go. He said the total is 277.00 and change, still trying to charge me for the tires. I said that the tech had fixed my flat, and he checked and sure enough he had. Except that they replaced my front tires that DID NOT need replaced. So here i sit while they yank off their tires and put mine back on. This is the epitome of repair shop dishonesty and incompetence. Steer clear...oh and i am still waiting after 2.5 hours for my car. Wait it gets better...When i got back in my car the tires were under inflated and my sensors went off again...AND they damaged the front rims that they took tires off and on THREE times for no reason. I came home and had to get my compressor out to inflate two of the tires. read more

Me and my husband grinded into Mission Bay San Diego on vacation last weekend and went on yelp to find a mechanic that had good reviews and ability to work on brakes. The first mechanic I found was not even open during the hours they said they would be. I started to get nervous and from there went back on yelp and found Evans. Upon calling I spoke to Junior who was professional, honest, and quick to help us. I needed new brakes and rotors on my front tires as well as an oil change and brake boots in the back (yes i waited too long) and all in all it cost $914 which is not bad whatsoever compared to what i would have paid in LA. It only took them a few hours. He also suggested eating breakfast at the broke yoke up the block which was awesome. although I am annoyed I had to fix my car on my vacation, I am very grateful to have found Evans!! read more

The manager asked me to come in at 7:30am so that they could get me in and out quickly for a break job due to my work schedule. I arrived on time but they didn't even pull my car in until 8:30am and then it took over 2.5 hours to do the work since they had to order parts. I couldn't believe they don't carry breaks/rotors let alone they had 3 days to be ready for the job. Lastly, the mechanic lost my key and then the manager overcharged me so the bill had to be redone so it took 25 min at the end to get me out the door. My honest assessment was that the experience was very disappointing and unprofessional. Kevin, Shoko, & Carlos (and all the other shop guys too singing in the back) Kevin has helped me for almost 2 years back when I went to the OB shop and a big reason I kept returning. The guys at this shop are really kind and overall HAPPY too, and they talk to me person to person. Give me advice, and have always educated me on what they recommend vs. what is cheap but still relatively safe - so I can still make decently smart decisions when I literally couldn't afford anything but the cheap stuff. The batteries and tires I bought were realtively cheap (~$60) and have treated me well. I noticed there was usually alot of staff to help multiple customers at a time, and TV and wifi. Keep up the postive attitudes gentleman, I appreciate that. read more

They cheated me, wasted 10 hours of my time, stole a hub cap, and happily took me almost $900. I went there to get new tires for my car -- they have a 4 for 2 promotion. It looked awesome. I was supposed to pay $250 for the tires plus installation. Then they added some fees -- all good. I went for a walk, they told me it would be ready in 2 hours. 3 hours later -- nothing. Finally they called me to tell me I needed to change brakes and rotors -- $600 service quoted for all brakes and rotors, not too shabby! Added alignment too. After doing some research, I decided to do the work. Another 4 hours, the car was done. I left and started driving. One month later, a squeaky noise begun on my breaks. I went there and they told me that it would take 2 hours to check -- just to check... then I decided to come back another day. When I came back, the first thing Kevin did was to put the blame on me "Why didnt you come earlier?", then told me "we are busy it will take at least three hours to check". I decided to leave the car and work at a Starbucks. Three hours later Kevin call me to tel me that they never done the rear breaks!!! Wait, it gets better. They also told me that I never paid for it!!! I lost my s***. I walked back there, they started to show me some code on the receipt, calculating, trying to prove that I did not pay for it -- who pays $600 for front breaks on a Jetta!?!? Apparently me after they cheated me. The manager came and tried to help. He said he would do whatever he can to make it right. Two hours later the car was ready -- he cleaned the breaks, but did nothing on the rear lol. Actually! They lost/stole my wheel center cap! I went back home pissed, but no noises on the breaks. Then 200 miles later, squeaky noise is back!!! Seriously, don't fall on their bs, they will cheat you, take your money, and destroy your car. read more

I went into Evans today to get new tires for my son's ATS and Mr Montiel and his team were amazing. He helped me pick out the right tires and got be the buy 2 get 2 free plus a mail in rebate. In addition we needed new rims since hitting a curb messed up our stock ones. Mr Montiel (Luis) bent over backward to help me and get me what I needed! Once he fitted the tires and rims personally, he also showed me that our rear struts were leaking . He gave me a quote and quickly got the parts to the store and got everything done in one day so we didn't have to come back. His customer service was top notch and made me remember that there are great people out there willing to help, even if it's not their job or they don't have too!
