The complimentary chips and salsa were good. The chips were nicely salted. I just wish they had been served warm. The salsa had a nice kick to it. We split the Mexican combo, which included a bit of everything. The rice was nothing to write home about, but everything else was very good. Service was friendly and slow. We sat outside. The shade and cool breeze were nice, and the chairs were comfortable.

Yes, the overly aggressive, try to sell you any and everything, won't take no for an answer kind of guy. He even gave us a business card for a free drink which runes out to be a margarita, soda, or lemon aid. Best recommendation ever. Firstly, the free margarita was actually pretty good, not like the free mai tai you get back home in Waikiki. With four Mexicans in our group, it passed and got their approval. So much so when we came back again, they all ordered them again. Secondly, and not second place, the food was very very good. Everything we ordered was fresh as well as freshly made, full of good and clean flavors. Fried food fried nice and crisp. Steamed food, paella and fish beta Cruz style, nice and hot. Only down side was the sides, rice and beans, not so hot. Also, because it's mostly outdoors now due to COVID, no AC and a few too many flies. Remember, it's located in a light industrial area by the airport. Summarizing, great local food establishment with very good food, decent service, better than expected margaritas, definitely off the beaten path that the locals know of and tourists don't get to experience.

The seafood was incredibly fresh--easily some of the best we've had. Every bite tasted like it came straight from the ocean that day. The drinks were just as impressive, perfectly made and refreshing, pairing so well with the food. What really stood out, though, was the service. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. You can tell they take pride in what they do. If you're on the fence like we were, take the recommendation and go--you won't regret it!

Tucked back away from the marina is this gem of a place. Highly rated on all the sites for good…read morereason. Service is excellent and the food is outstanding. Beautiful atmosphere with lights, plenty of tables, and clean bathrooms. The seafood is so fresh! We ordered the crab meat tostada, aguichiles, ceviche, grilled octopus dinner, garlic shrimp dinner, and fresh grilled fish (Acapulco style) for 2. The dinner plates cakes with a side of rice and steamed mixed vegetables. Everything was so fresh, delicious, tender, and so flavorful. As a group, we couldn't come to a consensus on what each of our favorite dish was. We each had our own favorite. Crab meat was sweet, garlic shrimp was buttery, grilled octopus was so tender, aguichiles was so citrusy... I can go on and on. Ask for fresh tortillas. Also don't skip their margarita. Strong, citrusy, and generous serving. They accept USD or pesos. Also strolling musicians will come by your table asking to play a song. Some will tell you the price up front others will expect a tip at the end.

Mariscos La Palmita -- Incredible Seafood, Local Favorite & Amazing Value…read more This place came highly recommended, and after visiting, I totally understand why. The restaurant was packed with locals when we went -- always a great sign. Cash only, so come prepared. What We Ordered Chocolate Clams (Cooked) You can choose raw or cooked -- I went with cooked and it was delicious. Very fresh, no fishy smell at all. One thing to note: every seafood dish comes topped with garlic. I'm not a fan of garlic and didn't know ahead of time, so I rinsed it off with hot water -- still amazing. Calamari Fresh, tender, and very well cooked. Seafood Special Combination Fish and squid were excellent. Lobster and shrimp were okay, nothing too special compared to the others. Price & Value The prices here are unbelievably cheap. * 6 chocolate clams = 285 pesos * Waldorf restaurant: 2 clams for $48 USD * Another place we tried: 2 clams for 340 pesos After eating around Cabo, this place clearly stood out for both quality and price. We couldn't even finish everything and packed leftovers back to the hotel. Total bill for all dishes: around $100 USD -- incredible. Overall Huge portions, super fresh seafood, local vibes, and unbeatable value. If you're anywhere near Cabo San Lucas, this spot is a must-visit.
